the main problem with this dryer is it turns my sheets into balls and I have to continue to untangle to get dried, clothes are fine its just the sheets, and so annoying my old dryer never did that Show details
Follow-up · I use bamboo sheets and I’ve tried different settings but no different outcome, and it’s difficult to untangle sheets , time consuming and creases massively, the pillow slips are usually in the middle of a tight ball of sheets, I’ve never experienced this before with previous dryers
This dryer takes hours to dry. 4 hours and a small load of clothes were still not dry. Spun on 1500 setting on washing machine. So clothes were not that wet when put into dryer. Very frustrating if you wish to do more than one load of washing a day. Very unhappy with this product.
I have started to have issues with the dryer not drying my clothes. I've tried different setting and less clothes etc. Any suggestions on why this is happening? I have only had it for less than 1 year

Was really good when working – First few months it was great and happy how it performed compared to our old dryer. Then same problem as everyone else is getting started showing up. Initially, cleaning the lint collector then restarting the program works. Now it just won't work 4 out of 5 times. Clearly something is broken. Was able to contact support and told me they will send… Read more
an email with ticket number and someone will contact me in 24-48 hours. No email came and 72 hours later, still no call. Tried calling their support hotline and can't connect anymore. Can I still return this? Iyem was purchased July/2021.
Fan symbol – A fan symbol comes up and stops the machine from completing cycle. It's been happening since day one, hence why I don't use it much. Can you help please Show details

Poor quality heater element – Not even 4 years old and it will not heat up to dry laundry. It has had very little use. Poor quality heat element. For anyone wanting to know, they are Stirling/ Tempo brand. Show details
Epic Fail - too good to be true – Drying sensor questionable. Loads often still wet, not damp (50%). Standard Drying time 5hrs on LED, loads complete in 90 minutes and are damp. Larger items, Sheets, Blankets, roll into a ball in the centre items are wet. Easy to use. Except the bottom filter is painful. Now have Water Container Fault and doesn't work. Friend purchased and had… Read more

Aldi Stirling Dryer Still Alive! – Not bad for the price in general. ~Use the dryer with all types of clothes especially winter clothing when we use the machine often. It dries most of the clothes with the given setting. ~Different settings obviously give you different result in terms of generally mixed clothes drying. ~ It is gentle enough but not when it comes to some wool… Read more
clothes and socks that it becomes smaller from its normal size when you never use dryer before. I guess, it is a matter of balancing the temperature and knowing which type of wool fabrics that go smaller than its normal size. ~The only problem is the filter exhaust filter cloth that came with it that it doesn't last long even if you maintain cleaning it with a vacuum cleaner. It tends to crinkle after 3 years at the very least before replacing it with a new one.

Purchased Model SHPD80W July 2022 - Service & Warranty back up is terrible – Unit is 3 months old barrel of dryer is no longer spinning & has burnt electrical wire smell . Emailed service request to Service & Warranty Agent Residentia 9th November 2022 & accepted all terms & conditions . Contacted again for follow up on the 15th of November as i still had no contact from repairer , advised they were waiting on parts ??? .… Read more
Contracted Residentia again 22nd November to be told repairer has tried phoning several times on the 11th of November which i advised was not true . Residentia contacted repairer directly again who explained that even though we are located in the metropolitan area its a long way from their office , they may be able to allocate a service person to attend to assess the machine next Tuesday 29th of November . This process will have taken 3 weeks without a dryer by that time . Apparently this visit is only an assessment to create a report not to fix or replace , who knows how much longer this will take . Very disappointed with Aldi & their brands back up .
Great dryer for the price! – Ive only just bought this dryer so cant comment on how long it will last but so far dried about 4 loads of washing. I read the instructions and set it to cotton standard as the cotton options are suitable for up to 8kg loads. The display says 2h45m but so far usually completes the drying fully in half that time with the clothes being fully dry. Im… Read more · 1
assuming it has a sensor that knows the clothes are dry and adjusts the time. The first 2 loads i found the water catchment filling to nearly full so i have now plumbed it in to the sink waste via a 10mm ID rubber hose running from the fitting on the base of the machine to the undersink waste which means no more needing to empty the water tank during cycles. The lint filter is easy to clean and the condenser radiator is easy to access for cleaning if required. The machine is quiet enough, i like that it has an internal light and the settings are straight forward to use. The clothes come out relatively wrinkle free and ready to hang or fold. I doubt ill be hanging clothes on the line anymore. Hopefully a long service life and the 3 year warranty gives me piece of mind and if it fails Aldi is only 2km away. Very happy with it so far though.
Heat pump drier for normal people! – Guys, $600 is way too cheap for a heat pump drier in 2021, I was nervous because it didn’t add up. I’m very happy to report that this drier is brilliant! I’ve been using it for a couple of months now and I’m about as happy with it as you could be with a new clothes drier! If you want a drier that doesn’t fill your house with smelly hot damp air… Read more
and uses stuff all power this one is the one for you. As it’s a heat pump drier the technology means that you may need to give sheets a little extra hit after the cycle and it takes about twice as long as a traditional drier, I don’t know about you but I don’t stand next to my washing machine or drier with a timer just waiting for it to finish, be smart! Wash your clothes before you need to wear them, buy this bad boy if you see it in stock, if you are a normal person with normal expectations you will be very very happy with this drier! I’m guessing it might be a kogan, which has many positive reviews btw.
I’m response to a couple of negative reviews I saw before posting, it dries normal cycles of clothes perfectly, maybe sheets or really heavy stuff might need another hit but that’s heat driers, seriously it’s grouse, you don’t need to hang your clothes out after using the drier, just put the clothes in, turn it on, wait till it’s finished. I suspect the people writing negative reviews might need someone to review their brain.

So happy, purchased my 2nd Aldi Stirling 8 kg Dryer – After my perfect run up to now with the 1st ALDI dryer I purchased an additional unit for my Son, also replacing a faulty 8 year old MIELE Dryer. Show details
Life changer! – I was very hesitant to get a dryer. But with a new bub on our hands, washing machine on constantly, and the apartment having no place to dry we bit the bullet. I'd avoided dryers before as they just used so much power. This one is on constantly and power use only went up slightly. We've had this machine going now for coming up to 2.5 years and… Read more
touch wood we haven't had a single issue. Load after load. It works a charm
Was initially plumbed in but now sits draining to the tank. It creates no condensation and lived in our bathroom/laundry with not even a fogged up mirror.
It does a lower heat for longer which doesn't damage you clothes as much. Throw in a few dryer balls we've found speeds up the drying process.
Hope this doesn't fail and if it does, well be ordering another through esatto (rebadged from AO)

Why would you even consider any other brand – I must admit, I was very reluctant buying this dryer. I checked a lot if different outlets for the best product on offer and could not actually find anything available for a long time. My family member decided to gift it to me. Initially, I was not expecting much considering the price . I was very pleasantly surprised after first use. Using… Read more · 1

Such a disappointing appliance – My mum bought this appliance for my husband and I as a 10 year anniversary gift, in August of 2022. wet even after 5 hours of run time. A real waste of energy too. I’ve maintained it well and have always kept it clean but where does this leave me? Unable to provide proof of purchase and now sitting with a household of 6 with no way to dry our clothes in a timely manner.

Weapon of ear destruction – Our neighbour has one, running it sometimes hours a day. The distance is few metres from our bedroom, they leave the laundry door open to our way, I assume on purpose... Just don't think of buying it – I usually like Aldi products because it's easy to return them or get them repaired. This dryer was a nightmare after only 5 months. I bought this in July 2021. sensor had failed (a common problem with this product according to the repair person). To cut a long story short... In July 2022 after collecting the dryer 2 weeks earlier to replace the parts I get a phone call saying they were still waiting on parts and that these said parts had been delayed. I decided the dryer was no longer worth the stress (The dryer had only been fully functional for 4 of the 12 months of ownership) . I got the dryer back and took it back to Aldi for a refund.

good for a few months – Worked perfect for about 4 months then would not drain any water out. Had a load on for a good 10 hours and were still wet. Fan stopped working – The dryer was very rarely used in the past years and the fan has stopped, We clean the filter after every use. The quality of the machine is highly questionable.
Rubbish - Do not waste your money – Faulty after the first few uses. 'Tank light full' kept coming on and the dryer would stop after 2 minutes, even though the water collection tank was empty. Started great, now have same issue with water not draining like everyone else – Started off great for a few months, now I've got the same issue others have with the water not draining out. Stopped working – Purchased in August 2019. Consistently stops working saying water is full even after the filters and water tank have been emptied. I paid cash for the product and did not retain receipt but care team refused to assist even though it’s an Aldi exclusive product. I couldn’t have purchased the product elsewhere and it must currently still be in warranty given the machine was first on sale less than 3 years ago. Show details

Don't bother. Machine stops working after a few months if that! – Apparently the machine cannot tell that the water tank isn't full and will stop working thinking it is!
