Controller stopped working – Was great until the controller died, no fuse inside so its a throw away throw blanket after only a few months - should have kept the receipt. Do not recommend this.

Worked only poorly for a while then the controller died – It was never particularly good. Only half of it heated up, and that was only warm, never really hot, even on setting 9. It had to be on setting 9, in fact, to be of any use. Recently, 15/7/2024, I was using it and started to feel cold. I looked at the controller and the screen was not showing anything. I switched it off and on again, but the… Read more

controller has not worked since then. Bought from Aldi at Mount Barker, South Australia, on 1/5/2023, so it was just past the 1-year warranty period. It was only used for a few months in the 2023 winter, stored in its original box during Spring, Summer, and Autumn, and I had only used it for a short time in the 2024 winter so, over the time that I have had it, it has had only a few months use, for a few hours on some of the colder evenings.

Not sure who loves it more, the cat or me! – This blanket is warm, lightweight and does exactly what it says it will. Mainly use heat setting 5 and my cat absolutely adores it. Great value for money. Would recommend. Show details

My First Positive Aldi Product review! Care Instructions here – Over the years we've bought a fair few Special Buy items and many have turned out to be a total waste of time and money. Some we've been able to return for a refund while others had gone past the 60 day refund period so we lost out ... lesson learned. This Heated Throw however is one of the successful Special Buys item we've bought. We have a… Read more

19+yo cat who is healthy and happy but she has a single coat so she's much more vulnerable to feeling the cold compared to other breeds.

We saw this Heated Throw in the May catalogue and decided to buy it to test. If it wasn't suitable we could return it.

The throw is folded over on the spare bed and the cat absolutely loves burrowing in between the layers to sleep overnight, and if there's not enough sun she'll happily wander back in there during the day.

The controller is only set to the lowest level, 1, yet this still feels plenty warm when we put our hands inside to give her a pat. We know she loves it because she complains loudly if we drag her out!

We had to wash it after a few weeks and carefully followed the instructions for washing and drying. As it was winter it did take a while to dry but when reconnected to the controller it has worked perfectly ever since (touch wood).

So, they do come up with some good products every now and then!

Excellent product – This product is great quality. Easy to use and works fast. Perfect for snuggling up on the sofa on a cold day/night. I would not have bought it if the price hadn’t been so good. Now I couldn’t live without it. Thanks Aldi!  Show details

Blew up and tripped circuit breaker – I have had my throw for a couple of years now but only just started using it... It seems when the timer has completed the blanket turns off but the controller is not off.. Luckily I noticed smoke coming from the control I switched it from 1 to zero and as I did it blew up and sparked on my bed (only used on top of bedding) I extinguished the spark… Read more

Works great, really warm – I bought a similar one off Ebay or maybe Amazon but this was was about $20 cheaper, and works so much better. I only need it on 2 or 3 on cold nights, and the timer goes up to 12 hours I believe. The other one I have only goes to 9 hours, and after a few hours will turn from warm to almost off, so you wake up really cold, and have to turn it up… Read more

again. This one stays the same temp all night. Obviously I use it as an electric blanket under my sheet. I have a caravan which gets cold, and this still works really well.

Works so good, toasty warm – This throw rug is great. I love that it has heat setting choices from 1 -9 but I find around 2 or 3 is warm enough. I also love that it has a timer as well. Great purchase, just love it. Show details

Works great – Purchased this heated throw rug from ALDI a few days back and just tried it now ... it works like a charm. The only suggestion I have is that the lowest heat setting (setting 1) is still too hot for my liking. I ran a power monitor on it and found that level 1 used 36 watts of power, level 2 used 46, and so on with each next level using about 10… Read more

watts more power. I cant ever imagine I will get to using level 9 as I think it would cook me so it would be better if level 1 started at say 10 watts and every level after that increases by 10. Overall ... its just great.

No Problems, does what it says out of the box. Working well a couple of years later – I had no problem with the blanket, works well if studying at a desk as a blanket or on cold nights over the top of the bedding. Been using it for at least two Winters now and it still runs well.

Love it – The Aldi heated throw is just perfect for cool winter nights. I use mine on the couch when watching TV and also to keep warm before going to bed. It has a timer and up to 9 different heat settings. It will save you money as you won't need to run the heater! A great investment if you hate the cold. Show details

Cheap heat – This is my second winter with the Aldi electric throw. Our house had ducted reverse cycle aircon, which is great when you are up and about, but over the top for when you’re being a couch potato. At the moment it has the same importance as my handbag :))) – I can not think of any bad thing about this throw. At my work I have 6 meter high ceilings and it cost me a fortune to heat up the space. Having the throw around at the moments behind my desk, makes a huge difference in comfort during this 3 coldest months.  Show details

Lumina Throw Rug – I bought two (one for my old mum and one for me) from Aldi over 5 years ago. Both are still working fine. I love it and it's so much easier than lighting the fire. It's big enough to cover your whole body, and has multiple heat settings and timer so you can't accidentally leave it on. Great value at about $30.  Show details
