If this is a clothes dryer, open the door, the filter is a colored white, pull it out of where it is then open it, like opening a sandwich and then take the lint out, close it and put it back where it came from.

Hi Amanda, the lint filter is located within the rear of the dryer behind the exhaust vent shroud. To remove the filter, insert your fingers into the four holes around the exhaust vent shroud and pull out the filter assembly. It consists of three parts; the exhaust vent shroud, the lint filter and the exhaust filter. Seperate these three parts and using a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth, wipe off any lint from the filter. Re-insert the filter components in the same order and push back into place at the rear.
