Buyer beware - 12 months later, still waiting for a resolution for Statutory Warranty Issue – Purchased a vehicle for my young son on about 28 Dec 2022 - an engine fault light occurred within an hour of driving away that day. Documented everything meticulously, and communicated throughout in a timely and polite manner e.g. Sent them over 130 communications (Iphone, txt, email, letter, registered letter) with a response rate of 25%. (I… Read more

concluded it was company policy to be non-responsive, and definitely not put any response in writing). When I finally got them to take the issue seriously (engaging the Office of Fair Trading does help!) car was off the road 4 months during the first 9 months of ownership, and most of the time they refused to reveal its location or when it was coming back. It would be an understatement to say my young son was frustrated, as it was impacting his employment also. There was no suggestion of a replacement vehicle or compensation during those 4 months. In addition to the cost and inconvenience of finding alternative transport, we have been left with an outstanding cost of about $1400, asked 19 times for payment, but ignored. Got NSW Fair Trading involved, looks like it will end up in NCAT. It's been a full-time job attempting to get them to meet their Statutory Warranty commitments. And that's just the major issue. There were more....including getting the car through a RWC in our home state. Buyer beware.

Worst Company and Worst service ever – I have had the worst experience with Alliance Motors ever. I bought my car from Alliance Motors almost 2 and half years ago, price almost $26k plus finance, car was in garage for over a year since the day I purchased, took my car to mechanic more than 50 times in last 2 and half years, claimed almost$18k from national warranty company, paid from… Read more

my own pocket on top of insurance claims, and till to this day my car is not working properly, every month with a new issue.Almost wasted countless hours taking back and forth my car to mechanic.

History: 1. Purchased ML-250 from Alliance Motors on 13th March 2019, price was $26,000, after paying full amount, Alliance Motors did not give me car for another 2 months, after getting my car still had a lot of issues.

2. Vince sold me this faulty car, in these 2 months Alliance team did not bother to update me when I will get my car, because they have taken full amount from me and do not care anymore, attitude was completely different after Alliance Motor dispose faulty car on my name, Vince was very unprofessional after the sales and completely irresponsible. While car was in garage Vince called me and asked me car has an issue with some parts, an insurance company will call me to confirm so I need to approve it for that part, then I replied to Vince I did not even drive a car yet and it has a problem so why would I approve from my insurance, then he started making excuse and told me that is why they sold me insurance to use, I replied but how come a car just purchased from you had an issue, anyways after a long conversation I had to approve with insurance as I did not have a choice.

3. As I took finance on car I was paying my installments and Registration was close to expiry. I had to call Alliance every day to get update on my car when it will be ready.

4. The day I paid a deposit on this car Alliance Motors transferred car in my name even though it had a lot of outstanding issues which Alliance Motors supposed to fix, the transition of transfer of the car was very unprofessional.

5. Once I took my car officially from the Alliance, I had to transfer the car in my name within 14 days which I did not know as Alliance did not inform me, so I had to pay penalty as well.

6. After I had enough, Adam ex-manager of Alliance took the matter in his own hand when I left a feedback on google, before that no one was taking things seriously.

7. Car Mechanic has changed almost every important part in the car, like all 4 injectors, transmission, fuel pump, water filter and many more, and the worst thing is that car is not working properly till today even after spending so much money and time.

8. My patience ran out when last month, my fuel pump broke and diesel was leaking on the road while I was driving , imagine what could happen to me and my family with 3 infant kids in the car, also the people around me if car catches fire.

Worst experience of my life… Note: I have reported this company to Fairtrade, Tribunal, my finance company and National Warranty Company. I would never recommend this company to anyone ever. It's too much of a burden to deal with this company.

Wonderful service from Robbie! – For around 2 months I had done some very particular car searching and visited countless dealerships throughout Sydney in order to find one that suited my needs for a first car. I hadn't heard about Alliance before visiting them, but can safely say the experience was fantastic. My Dad accompanied me and had nothing but positive things to say as… Read more

well.

All staff were friendly and helpful. Robbie in particular, offered such great service and was one of the reasons I made the purchase. He was personable and calm and told me openly about all details of the car along with some valuable industry advice.

I knew I loved the car, but there was still one more I wanted to inspect at another dealership. Not once did I feel pressure to buy the vehicle with Alliance, which was a nice change in comparison to a couple of other experiences. It took one last dealership visit to realise what a great deal I was getting with Alliance and travelled straight back to secure the car.

Thank you Alliance for making my first car purchase seamless and enjoyable! :) Natalie

In the process of finalising the purchase of my new car – I have had the pleasure of dealing with Rod from Alliance Motor Auctions in Moorebank. The purchase of this car is a big investment for me and Rod has been fantastic to deal with and very patient dealing with my cautious approach and addressing any areas of concern I had. I travelled over an hour to inspect another vehicle that I had paid $500… Read more

to hold pending inspection. The silver of this vehicle was a dark silver/grey and not what I wanted. Rod was awesome and offered immediately to reimburse my deposit.

I asked if he had anything other vehicles that might suit me and he showed me several and he was able to negotiate the price on another vehicle to meet my budget restraints. Rod spent over an hour with my son and I and we never felt rushed or pressured in any way. He always responds quickly to my messages and questions and has been honest and accommodating.

Many buyers are quick to report negative dealing but rarely take the time to give positive feedback.

Rod and Alliance Auctions have certainly been worth the time to write this review and deserves this 5 star rating.

Well done and thank you!

Sold me a unsafe vehicle – Everything seemed great, I was purchasing my first car and the salesman seemed friendly and helpful. Not long after driving the car it started having problems. The battery died about a 2 months after purchasing. The front passenger door would not open properly. It was leaking oil. The exhaust fumes were unbearably toxic and filled the garage. 1… Read more

front headlight died. They advertised the car I purchased came with 6 months registration but after purchasing I found out there was no registration for my car. The transmission and clutch started having issues when accelerating the car only revved and then jolt to start moving. This made it extremely dangerous and only within a few months. Absolutely disgusted that they can get away with selling people cars that they slightly repair just enough for you to get out and go home then the problems start happening

Problem after problem!! – This place was easy enough to deal with yes however, they lie and make promises to you and then come up with a million excuses as to why you have purchased a car with so many problems. Key held together with STICKY TAPE and another out of pocket expense to us. Drivers door wasn’t able to be opened and needed internal replaced at more cost to us… Read more

and then the park brake!!! $3000 later! We have had to spend thousands and thousands fixing so many problems and on top of it, they keep telling you to claim warranty but the warranty they give covers basically nothing. We got $0 back so far and have claimed it all. They couldn’t even give me a clean car and even after complaining, it was done with zero effort. I wish I could say something good.

Typical car salesman – Would not recommend, great service until cars are purchased then will have to chase and chase and chase to get anything out of them. I purchased my vehicle around 3 months ago, I have driven it for no longer than a two weeks total. Every time I pick it up something else goes wrong that day and should not have passed rego Inspection. Near enough is not good enough Show details

Sold a lemon. Dodgy Mechanical Repairs. Problems unfixed – Promised that mechanical problems would be fixed. After the 3th time trying to fix the same 2 problems, I just gave up. Kept my car for weeks without a courtesy car while they tried to fix the lemon they sold me. In the end, problems unfixed and is going to cost me to repair myself. Unhappy to say the least

Very professional, definetly not the traditional sleazy car salesmen you expect – Through carsales bought a 2012 Range Rover Evoque for $26K. Diesel only done 114,000km. Spoke to Robbie and mainly Luis who were polite, easy to speak to and very understanding. Flew up to Sydney where they were very accommodating to my interstate situation. They helped me through understanding reg, transfer etc They were also a very close funny and easy going group of people. Could not recommend enough for private buyers. Show details

Best to go on site to view – Good service from the staff. But pictures online are different from what you see in person, feels like they detail the car and just left it wide open for dust everything to come inside the car and scratch marks on side of both side of the car and I had to change 3 ties cos of cracks on them and brakes which was just passing for the roadworthy. Pleasantly surprised – I’m pretty skeptical when it comes to buying cars off people and after reading some of the reviews here I was even more skeptical however we all know there are two sides to the story and I wanted to see for myself instead of taking the opinions of random internet people. If they can treat you so bad before sale, imagine how they would treat you after sale – Made an appointment and drove an hour to inspect a $23000 Mercedes on 27 April with intention to buy finding out the damages not mentioned in the web site, they did no preparation for a test drive (remember it's a fixed price car not an auction) so could not move the car out for test drive when arrived. was bad and rude when in negotiation, so I had to walk away from sale eventually and bought somewhere else. These guys should stick to auctions only (so they can abuse their customers) and don't sell cars at fixed price if you can't describe the condition of the car properly and want to treat potential customers like enemies.

The biggest regret in my life – I bought a BMW for $AUD9000 from the Alliance Auction a week ago. First when I went for inspection it sounded okay mechanically but later when I payed the whole amount and received the car, as soon I turned the ignition on the car started leaving a massive cloud of blue smoke. I rang the dealer ( [name removed]....) he said they have just changed… Read more

the engine oil, if I drive it for an hour the car will stop smoking. I drove the car for 3-5 hours but smoking didn’t stop. It was leaving such a thick smoke that the cars behind me were not able to see their ways and they were beeping at me. I took the car back. [name removed].... the dealer said he will show the car to his mechanic and I had to be responsible for that. He signed off an agreement from me for that.

A week later when I went to collect the car, I wanted to show the car to an other mechanic to make sure if their mechanic had done some work to fix the car. [name removed].... said I couldn’t take the car before paying the money. If I didn’t do so he will see me in the court. HOLLY Crap, what a polite way of serving customers!!! I never refused to pay.

Finally, I had to pay an additional $2000 to collect my car without a mechanical inspection.

What they actually do is: firstly they show a mechanically okey vehicle to customers. They show you a bunch of fake paperworks such as fake road worthy certificate, fake logbook, fake service stickers a $1000 mechanical assistant warranty if your car had major issues just to manipulate you.

After they receive the deposit they change the motor or something and gives you a dead car. Because of the warranty you are more likely to contact them. Then they will sign off an agreement from you, writing you down as responsible for your vehicle and $1000 warranty from them. Then they will make fake invoice and charge you double, triple amount of warranty to give you your car back. I don’t know how they and their mechanics hold their license yet?

They are extremely RUDE and Blood sucker creatures.

DO NOT EVER deal with them!!!

Happy with the car so far and customer service was very good – I came over from Adelaide specifically to buy a 7 seater peugot turbo diesel. house with no transport and dying phone. I read the recent reviews on the Alliance House so I was having second thoughts but trusted myself to make my own mind up. An admin person let me in at 7:30am and rang Vince to see if he could come in early which I think he did, didn't have time on me. When he arrived he asked what I wanted to drink and made me a cup of tea as requested.

I took it for a test drive and found it as described and could find no further faults. Vince arranged for me, at my request since oil was black and no recent service history but I was aware of that beforehand, for the mechanic who had done the blue slip to do a service that morning . I was able to use the car to go the bank to withdraw balance of payment and take it to the mechanic around the corner who I also was comfortable with after talking to him. Vince provided printouts of where the bank, mechanic and registration centre were and then had the car cleaned when finished at the Auction house.

I am very happy with the car so far only been a week but have done 1,800 kms already getting back to Adelaide via Melbourne and Great Ocean Road, my wife loves it. Vince gave excellent customer service. The other sales guys there didnt look all that friendly, but maybe because I wasnt there client.
