Great place to pick up some discount stays and have done so many times in the past. Have stopped using it as much as since the web site "upgrade" it now is clunky and throws up errors. Hint - if you are searching via a state page go back home first via the logo do not try to jump to another state as it may return no results when there actually may be results. Show details

We had a fantastic holiday exploring South Australia, and our experience with Travel Auctions made it even better! The bidding process was simple, and we were thrilled to save on our hotel. The call centre staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making everything smooth from start to finish. Booking directly with the property was seamless, and… Read more · 1
our stay in Goolwa was absolutely delightful. We’re already looking forward to booking more adventures with Travel Auctions in the future!
I have had a few auctions now and have been very happy with them all. The staff are really helpful and pleasant to talk to and made it so very easy to book. My last one was to Lake Bonney at Barmera in the Riverland and the Cabin was lovely, clean and a nice comfy bed. The website is very easy to browse and looking forward to my next little get away Show details · 1
Recently won bid for Normanville Jetty caravan park. Stayed on sites backing on to the creek. We shared a 10 night stay with relative. Had to amend check in date due to extending stay at previous park, and staff were accommodating and held our preferred sites. Would recommend using Travel Auctions to ensure best value for extended stays. Show details · 1
We have purchased many travel auctions over the years. Each caravan park we've been to with a travel auction we've thoroughly enjoyed. Always helpful staff at the parks and the travel auction girls at the office are always kind, helpful and obliging. Love to add another one to our list Show reply

Great site to obtain excellent discounts on accommodation. We won a bid for a holiday cabin at Merimbula and were able to double the amount of nights for the same discount rate. Will definitely be using them again for another holiday. Show details · 1
Follow-up · The two bedroom cabin at Tween Waters Merimbula was very comfy, contained a spa bath and comfy furniture, it also had direct access to the beach and an excellent pool. We were more than happy with the location as it was an easy walk to town, the beach and the riverwalk, and there was plenty to do both around the caravan park and in Merimbula itself.
We use TA alot and its been great. We have stayed at Caravan Parks that we would normally neglect and they have almost always impressed us to the point of us returning to stay again with them. it's one email I never swipe away without checking it out first. Keep up the good work everyone at TA. Show details
Follow-up · Just stayed at Merimbula and had another great experience thanks to Travel Auctions. This is a great park, great location, close to the beach, lake and the famous Merimbula board walk. Short walk into town. Keep up and great work and thanks again to TA.

when making a decision/purchase. I rely on her for advice and she explains carefully what inclusions/deals are on offer. I have purchased a large amount of packages throughout the years and Bambi is my go-to person for affordable, good value local holidays/getaways. She makes a special effort to contact and notify me when a new package is released. Bambi is a valuable asset to the company and always has excellent public relations whenever I speak to her. I cannot thank her enough and she deserves a high recognition/acknowledgment from the company. Looking forward to making future, upcoming bookings with Bambi in the near future. I genuinely appreciate what you do for me Bambi and it does not go unnoticed. Nothing is too much trouble for you. Sincere regards, Maria.
In September 2025 my bid for a powered site at the Pink Lakes Tourist Park in Esperance WA was successful. The bidding process was straight forward and easy. Making payment to Travel Auctions was a simple process, and the confirmation voucher was… Read more · 1
received within 24 hours. Arranging our stay with the Pink Lakes Tourist Park was also a very easy process, and we were allotted a site in the recently completed new section at the rear of the property where excellent bathroom facilities and BBQ areas had been built. As the shrubs around each site mature, the privacy between the sites will increase. The 10-day stay was very enjoyable and we will return.
One aspect of dealing with Travel Auctions I was extremely grateful for was when, in February 2020 I made a successful bid for a powered site at a caravan park in Mildura Victoria. At the time Travel Auctions would hold the amount of the bids in an account until such time successful bidders completed their stay. As we hadn't determined when we would commence our trip across the Nullarbor from WA, we couldn't immediately make a booking with the caravan park. Later in the year when we were ready to book, I tried several times by phone to make contact, but the calls went unanswered. Eventually I discovered that the owner of the property had not renewed the lease to the proprietor of the park, and that it had closed. As Travel Auctions was still holding my money, I was able to receive a refund.
Follow-up · I always take and use our own BBQ tongs etc to the communal BBQs. Although the caravan park's equipment has been cleaned when the cooking surface is cleaned, flies may have landed on it between then and when it is next used. As a result, I don't take much notice of what the caravan parks provide. I think that the photograph which accompanied my… Read more

and grandies, is so much better. Staff have been so good with communications and assistance, it makes life so much easier and adds to the fun and destination. We are still travelling with auctions yet to use. We also love the fact you can bid on great parks, that we enjoy, each time they come up.

absolute cr#p this is price gauging at its best before you place a bid, please investigate the actual price, quite often you will find you are being ripped off. This once was a great format but like everything its gone up.
firstly they overinflate the value of the package. If you check the same package on online booking sites you will often find it for $100's cheaper. Then if you bid "too low" they wont allow the bid. I have had them ring me to offer the place to me after I was not successful bidding at a price still higher than was on booking.com. Show details
Follow-up · My bid was approximately $100 below the price I had researched on other booking sites. I was contacted because despite the warning the system recorded the bid and informed I was unsuccessful. I was contacted some time later on the phone number in my account.
