Moving made easy – We moved from Hobart to Toowoomba late January / early February 2023. Estimating consultant was excellent to deal with, team of guys who packed and loaded our belongings were very helpful and considerate, and the arrival date was as scheduled and again the guys unloading were very professional and efficient. Amazing! – We used Allied to move our 3 bedroom house from Hobart to Devonport. Were very efficient, accommodating and kind. Jarrod went out of his way to make sure we were settled in. Will surely use them again!

A great job – They moved my 2 bedroom unit from Devonport to Hobart, and they weren’t able to drive truck into my street but this didn’t phase them. A great job and all my gear arrived safe and sound. Show reply

move Devport to Wynyard – move went ok but after checking I was some items missing, they were distinctive so they were noticed I have asked several times but they still say nothing was found in the container, all my boxes have been opened and check these items were not found

no resolution or offer of compensation no replies to emails.

- Truck Driver tried to back-up our steep driveway after warnings not to, tore up and destroyed the drive, no compensation or even an apology, currently taking them to the small claims court in an attempt to recover repair costs.

Tas Manager and Hobart Subcontractor are some of the rudest people I have ever dealt with, complete disregard for customers.

Allied Pickford just ignores all communication at all levels and hopes the customer will just give up seeking compensation. Advice don’t use Allied Pickfords, they are anything but careful.

Your Employees are an Asset to your Company – Your 3 employees who moved my home were excellent, organised, polite, helpful and in general - wonderful. They are an asset to your company and I would highly recommend Allied Pickfords. Show reply

100% Satisfaction – We moved a 40 square house packed with antiques and objects into store for 3 years. One year later we moved a bed, table & desk into the same storage containers for a further 2 years. All my beautiful things I had not seen for 3 years had been amazingly packed and were all safe and sound. The removalists were helpful in moving things about the rooms and assembling furniture. Worth every penny and would highly recommend.

sorted out. The real fun began when the truck turned up. Every item that needed to go upstairs was met with great apprehension by the 2 men. They even said that our mattress would not fit up the stairs!! They left a mirror out on the footpath in the wind which of course broke and they also brought in a solid wood table with the top completely cracked and a leg detached and commented that it had been dropped. Within a week we noticed we were missing some boxes. I notified the latrobe office immediately and they said they would look and sent an insurance claim form. I spent a lot of time chasing someone to quote on the repair for our table to be told that we didn't have insurance to cover the breakage!!! They have also lost our beloved dogs ashes that we had to have put down before our move and there has been absolutely no apology or follow up on where we are at.

There was no due care with our move and they have not fulfilled their side of the agreement. I have even tried to get in touch with the head office of Allied Pickfords to get some answers but no one replies to my emails.

I would not recommend this company to anyone again which is a real shame considering the Cairns office is such a diligent and hardworking team.

I arranged an appointment next day to pick my possessions up and collected them from storage. Very professional and efficient. I would not hesitate using the again.

I am envious! – Having read the reviews about peoples experiences with Allied, I am sorry to say our interstate move was the worst ever. We have just settled the insurance claim some months after moving from Tas to Darwin. Tas receptionist misplaced our booking so being overbooked, the crew weren't happy to be rushed with the pack up of our three bedroom house.… Read more

Constant complaints from the crew didn't help with the pack which took 11 hours to complete. The unpack was equally unpleasant. Broken and damaged items everywhere, they didn't want to unpack the boxes as per their contract and I copped an out of the blue mouth full of abuse from one of the Darwin crew because he had had enough. Called the manager who did nothing, not even an apologetic call back. Both my wife and I went out of our way to assist both crews offering cold drinks, coffee and biscuits and getting in and helping where we could. To be fair, the Tas manager, unlike the NT manager, was professional and sympathised with our issues however the crew really let him down at both ends. Having just completed the running around to get replacement values for damaged and missing items, I am very over Allied Pickfords and cannot recommend them to anyone.

Excellent removals service we have used them twice and would use again – Our first move was from the UK to Hobart and our second move was within Hobart. Both times we found Pickfords excellent. Fabulous staff and service – My move interstate was a breeze working with the professional staff at Allied Pickfords. From the initial home visit to cost the move the staff were fabulous. Do not use! – we arranged for Allieds to move some belongings from Tassie to WA. We were told it would take 3-5 weeks. After 8 Weeks we had not heard anything so i had to call them & ask where our stuff was. The girl in the Perth office i spoke to was THAT RUDE! & told us she didnt know where our stuff was. things would be there on the tuesday. but someone would call to confirm. They didnt & our stuff did not arrive. I called again to find out where our things were. They told me they would be there on the friday & that they would call at least an hour prior to delivery as my husband works nightshift he may have been asleep. On the friday the truck just rocked up with no notification as arranged. Amongst our things was a Tv which was damaged & Allied have claimed unless we saw them damage it (ie, it was dropped in front of us) we have no chance of compensation. we are now having issues with the insurance. (We were only quoted for standard insurance even though they knew our stuff was packed by ourselves)

Apparently Allieds do not believe in duty of care. I would Not use Allieds As they are rude & unprofessional, if you have a problem the will handball it from one desk to another. We can buy a new tv but the way in which the matter has been handled is disgusting they have not offered so much as an appology & the lack of contact from them during the time we were waiting for our things was completely unprofessional. 1 star is too high a rating for Allieds.

A pleasing experience – From the moment the packers arrived until the up-lift truck pulled out of my drive, the staff were courteous, happy and efficient.
