We were still undecided so left the store to the return again on the 27/1/19. Anthony was on again and remembered who we were and what we were looking at. Assistance was given again with no hassles and Anthony was happy to answer the few questions we had. After re-configuring the lounge suite again we FINALLY decided to purchase the lounge. Sale actioned ASAP with ease. Communication clear of estimated delivery time and contact to be made with reference to delivery costs.

until the day before it happens! That was a blatant bare-faced lie as the sale was a "Black Friday sale", in line with the americans whom always have a sale after thanksgiving I think it is. SO they KNEW for a year it'd be a sale day, they just, simply, ripped me off !
Now, to make matters worse 2 months later it has ceased to work, power is gone!
It supposedly had a "10 year guarantee" ..And they were supposed to visit within 1-4 days to fix it, but it's now been 3 weeks and even after repeatedly telling me via phone & email after I enquired when/if they were coming, and being told I'll get the serviceman to call you today, even after that, there's still been no action at all!
Finally, 5 weeks later, it is fixed !
Serviceman informed me that these recliners all have a fault whereby, because of cheap wiring, the controller breaks quite often. So .. it's fixed now, but for how long will it work before needing to be fixed again ? The $64-00 question. It's comfy, but I suggest buying more upmarket, if you can.

Very efficient, backed their words with actions – I purchased a recliner chair at Xmas. When I got it home I wasn't completely happy with it. It wouldn't stay in the reclining position. I let the staff members know, they took me on my say so and said they couldn't replace it until April, Which was ok by me. Then she gave me a phone number for customercare which i rang, they asked for photos, which i sent, they came back wirh, The claim had been assessed, warranty expired2015 for the cover, as such Super Amart will not progress this claim, the thing is, 99.9% of the time i'v had the lounge i have been the only one sitting on it. by far the worst experience I have had at any retail store and I subsequently cancelled my current order and will not be returning.
We ordered a Harndorf $799 table online and were told it would be in on a certain date. We then traveled three hours from Armidale to pick it up, only to be told the truck drivers wouldn't turn in off the highway that day as they had the big truck and it went back to Port. Although not ecstatic, we accepted this and said we would have to get a friend to pick it up when it did come in as we had no more time off in the short term. The manager then rang me two days after we left Coffs Harbour and said the table had arrived and demanded to know when it would be picked up. I was only able to tell her approximate dates as I had no certain date from my family member on when they could collect.
She proceeded to ring three more times to both my wife and myself within the next four days, each time more abrupt and rude. Unknown to me, today my family member went down to the store as he wanted to measure the box to see if it would fit in his trailer. He asked if he could measure the table when the manager interrupted him and said "Why?". He explained he wanted to know how long it was.... She then cut him off and said "As long as the one you bought". He then explained he was just picking up for me. She then looked it up and said "well he hasn't even paid for it". I had only left a 1/3 deposit and was paying the balance on pick up which we had arranged at the start of the transaction. The manager then called me and I was told " Your person is here to pick up the table" (which he wasn't yet... just wanted to measure) "and you haven't paid for it.. so....". I replied that was fine I would give my credit card details. I was then told Amart did not take payments over the phone...??? Despite having done this for the deposit, and told when we left the day it was not available, that we could ??? Rude, disorganised, terrible customer service and incompetent!!!
Not only have I cancelled my order, my family member said he could not believe how he was spoken to and treated and would not return again. I will do the same. I am writing this as I dont think it is good enough to let this sort of behavior go unrecognised. I have owned my own business for the past 12 years and would never employ a person with that level of disrespect and belligerence, let alone have them as a manager. I have never been treated this way as a regular customer, who wanted only to buy a table. My wife and family have also been disrespected and tainted by their experience at Amart. This is also the first time I have ever felt compelled to write a complaint. My experience has definitely marred my opinion of Amart, and I have written an online review as a result.
