ALDI Ambiano Multifunction Vacuum Food Sealer (Jun 2016, Jun 2017) Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: VS2650Does the Ambiano food sealer need a clear hose to function?
Where can I buy the air hose for the Ambiano Vacuum Vacuum Sealer. I bought it from Aldi 23rd December 2020
Sorry; I've never taken mine apart to see the air hose as going steady.
After placing bag in proper position, pressing vacuum and seal, it says vacuum and seal is complete but it doesn’t vacuum only seals. Help!!!!
What Micron are these ambiano vacuum food sealer refills as it is not written anywhere?? And are they suitable for Sous Vide cooking??
Yes, I use them for soups vide every day.
I bought one of these and it doesn't vacuum seal the bags as there is another air hose attachment needed and this is not in the box how do I get one of these
Does anyone know if the vacuum canisters (to suit this machine - with the appropriate valve) are available as a seperate item? Thank you in advance.
HI and where do you buy more bags and rolls from please??
I buy them on eBay. It is times cheaper than in a shop.
Where to purchase plastic bags to suit
In my experience the cheapest price you can get on eBay. It will be times cheaper then buying the same in ALDI or in any other shop.
Once food is frozen can you put in a pot of boiling water to heat up content?
The bags will hold in boiling water, but placing frozen food in a bag in boiling water would generally be a no - especially if it is fresh meat. Depending what you are making it will most likely cook the outside of the food before it cooks the inside.
You could do a sous vide with food inside the bag if you kept the temp of the water down somewhat and the food defrosted.
Can the black gasket be replaced not dealing so took out wipe off slit in half?
Why won't our machine work with other brand vacuum bags. It vacuums ok but then doesn't keep the seal.
Not sure why but the dotted or textured bags are the only ones that work correctly. We even returned the first sealer thinking it was faulty but it turns out we were using the wrong bags.
Have you tried sealing twice? We have had success with making it seal again.
Can I get replacement gaskets for my Ambiano vacuum sealer?
I don't know for sure but I very much doubt it seeing it's an Aldi dedicated appliance and part of why they offer them at such a cheap price I would assume. So can't really help you Dave, sorry.
when are you going to have the rolls and bags on sale because the food sealer does not work to well with out them
I have no idea Terry you will need to talk to Aldi about that one, I'm just a user. :)
My Ambiano Vacuum food sealer is not very good. It doesn't always vacuum or it will vacuum and when I seal the air is back in the bag. I'm very disappointed with it and would not recommend this product to anyone. I'm probably going to give it away soon because I needed it last night, and all my food didn't get sealed.
I had the same problem, but fortunately managed to remedy it effectively by carefully removing the foam gaskets, rinsing under warm water, applying a *tiny* bit of liquid hand soap (in case grease was involved), rinsing, drip drying, then reinstalling. After this, the unit would hold vacuum firmly and proceed on to sealing.
Recently bought one, used it once went to use it again and it wont seal the bag and also wont suck all of the air out,but it will seal the bag with nothing in it,please help?
If you are closing the lid correctly Pat and it's still not sealing all the time or sucking out the air then it's either faulty or the bag's not sitting at the correct spot on the rubber seal. Try moving the bag so that the end of the bags falls just short of the top seal (when looking at it from the front of the machine). If everything is in the right position and the lid is closed properly then the suctioning should be strong and should take all the air out. If not I would think it's faulty and return it.
I agree with Louise. It could be that the end you want to seal is not positioned correctly. The instruction manual gives guidelines re how the plastic must be placed. Also make sure the machine is closed properly. You should hear a click when you press down each corner to close the lid. If all of that fails your machine is faulty and you can return it for a refund.
Thank you so much Ladies, I will try what you have told me and see what happens.

I did not get a canister attachment with my vacuum sealer when i purchased it 2 years ago, is there some where i can purchase accessories? thanks Dianna
Not that I'm aware of, sorry.
Haven't ever seen any
My vac sealer does not suck the air out? When you put your finger over the air tube you can feel it suck but it wont happen when you try to suck and seal? Any ideas please, its not that old.
When I use the sealer....melted plastic sticks to the silver ribbon and wont seal properly until it is removed. How can I stop this?
I don’t think the sealer should be silver. Mine is covered by a brown woven material which actually protects the strip and stops the plastic from burning. Enquire at the ALDI store and if you have the receipt try another. Mine is fantastic think you just got one that wasn’t properly checked.
I double checked and yes the strip is silver. I don't think color matters as my brother in law also bought one and said I was trying to remove thesealed bag to quickl, so I tried again and it has been working just fine ever since. I hope this answer also helps some one else who may have the same situation. I love my sealer now.....thank you all. Sincerely....very happy customer
How often do Aldi have the vacuum food sealer refill rolls for the Ambiano food sealer?
Hi Sua,The sealer and bags are in the Aldi catalogue on sale Wednesday 27 Feb.They come up regularly.
My vacuum sealer sucks the air out but it doesn’t seal it automatically. And of course when you stop it air comes back in before it can seal. Any suggestions?
Mine does the same. Waited for these and now bitterly disappointed.
I have the same problem.
I have just used my vacuum sealer for about a year and it will not vacuum seal, I press the button and the light comes on and the sound starts but no vacuum, any suggestions as to what I can do? The sealing is fine, its just the Vacuum.
Mine has done this on and off and usually find it is because there is food or liquid in the top part of the bag which stops the air getting in/out. Also clean the seal area including the little hole that is the vacuum.
Thank you Nicole for your suggestion I'll make sure it is clean then try again, It's been that long since I used it lol
Although the Ambiano is just about fool proof I would agree with Nicole’s suggestions. If you still have your receipt ALDI are fabulous with returning products. I always make sure if wanting to vacuum something that is liquid that I freeze first. I also wrap in a cheap freezer bag before vacuuming in the vacuum bag and take it out of the more expensive bag whilst still frozen so I can use the bag again, just a little shorter. This is very economical on the bags.
Thanks Chrissi what you have suggested is a great idea reusing the bags, Unfortunately I didn't keep the receipt xso hopefully after xmas I will get it out and try it again. Have a merry christmas x
