I had a poor experience with Dr. Christabel Abalo. Despite being very unwell, my concerns were dismissed. She refused to provide a treatment plan, insisting I wait 24 hours to rebook for symptoms observance, yet contradictory told me to book her again in only 16 hours. It felt like the priority was securing follow-up bookings rather than patient… Read more

care. When I called the next day to see a different doctor, I was met with the same dismissive attitude and told to "just find someone in person." I would not recommend this service if you are looking for actual medical support and empathy.

Would not work for this group. No cars provided ( only to the privileged) or salary sacrifice. Way behind other employers!

Terrible service, Medibank is wasting money on this program. Today, a physio turned up on my doorstep without any prior notification. In the past weeks, either never turned up, rang in sick or provided such late notice that it was impossible to change the session time. I Would NOT recommend post-op rehab by Medibank's Amplar! I wish i had chosen… Read more

inhouse, post-op rehab (which i was discouraged from) instead of going through this ridiculous and inconsistent program!

Terrible service from Dr Christabel Abalo. I was experiencing menstrual cramps and mild flu-like symptoms only. She refused to issue a medical certificate, just like that. In the past, this had never been an issue, and I don’t understand what is happening with the service it has clearly declined.

This company has poor, nay, incompressible management. Breaks appointments, doesn't inform patients, leaves them hanging and without service. Also management is defensive and uncomprehending that criticism is not a personal attack, but instead is a… Read more

plea to do better by its customers. Choose another health provider. The good employees here, and there are many, deserve professional management...as do patients

Follow-up  · Why did I give the company such a poor rating at first? I followed the phone answering protocol - it asked for the third option (3) - from memory about discussing patient visit times. The calls were not picked up on three occasions. For new patients, this is unsettling, in my case, maddening. Then I picked the first option (1) and got an answer,… Read more

Absolutely not patient centred care. They get 2 stars as the physios I have had have been very good. The company however ignores patient requests, focus appears to be solely on their scheduling system, not the patient. I requested to have the same physio for the 6 weeks rehab in the home programme, & was told 'it was added to my record ' - had no… Read more

impact whatsoever. They organised (without advising me) an appointment that clashed with a doctor's appointment, so they had to 'reschedule' the appointment. It took them a week after my discharge from hospital to get the first physio appointment in place despite being advised days before I left hospital. They are just a shambolic outfit. Noting that they are part of Medibank...

Just watched someone who was the driver of a Amplar fleet vehicles (Corolla), push a trolley on purpose into another parked car at Aldi Clovelly Park. if that is the type of staff you employ then I do not recommend this company to care for loved ones. Very disappointing to see such careless and disrespectful behaviour. We will wait for the owners to return to their car and report this obviously targeted attempt to cause damage.

Punctual. Not really what l needed. I have multiple medical conditions besides my broken foot. Therefore, l say with that in mind, the advice was more detrimental than beneficial. Unrealistic exercise prescription exasperated my spinal condition.

I received a phone call from Amplar Home Health regarding booking a nurse for the home visit. That appointment was confirmed. They rang me three different times, and it was confirmed for morning, and I did mention to them I have GP's appointment in the afternoon. Unfortunately, the day prior to my appointment, I got a text message from them, 4.30,… Read more

saying they moved me to the afternoon for tomorrow nurse visit. I tried to call them. I was on hold for half an hour. The phone cut off. No one answered. So I tried to call them the next day on the appointment day. I was speaking to Adriana, A-N-D-R-A-N-I, and she was very rude and professional. She didn't want to listen to me. I tried to explain to her and told her that we have a GP appointment in the afternoon, and my nurse visit was morning, and it's in your notes, so we won't be able to change it. She said, no, we don't care. Cancel your GP appointment. It's with us. If the nurse changed the appointment, you have just to accept it because they're busy. I understand they're busy, but the patient is busy, too, and the patients have other doctors' appointments, as I'm in my 80s. So, unfortunately, she was very rude and professional, and she just didn't want to help us. Thanks. Done. Finished.

I cant believe this company, following a stay in hospital I needed wound care every second day. The first day the nurse turned up as expected but after that NOTHING, apparently there was a scheduling error and so the nurse never turned up. I rang to ensure that the nurse would come the next day and was told she would be there at 7.00, so got up… Read more

and ready, but she never turned up. Ring the company and was told that there was a scheduling mistake and no one had been scheduled on??? Asked to make a complaint, took two phone calls to get to someone who was apparently a clinical lead, was no help and said she didn't know what was happening as she was only clinical. In short Dont use them, they are not reliable

I had a total hip replacement on 03/04/25 and my hospital and physio service set up Amplar Health so when I discharged from hospital (08/04/25) I would be given Physio in the home. Today is 1/04/25 and I have had no satisfactory outcome from your company. My daughter has arranged for me privately to receive Physio in the home today (I have private… Read more

Ampler, don't do it – If I could give zero i would. No coordination between phone people and physio's. Limited to nil return calls. Limited to nil notice of when the physio is attending. Don't do it.

Terrible physiotherapy service – Amplar Health management / coordinators were disorganised, uncoordinated and were poor communicators. I answered their questionnaire multiple times with different people and my answers were not recorded in their system, nor were the answers communicated to the physios who also did not have access to my data. I had 3 different physios over 3 weeks… Read more

- handover was not apparent. Amplar scheduled their physios without negotiating or confirming with me. They did not respond to my email communication nor did they inform the third physio that I had terminated their service and it was embarrassing when the physio turn up at my home. Two of the three physios were excellent. All in all Amplar Health provided very poor service.

A system designed to deny assistance – Amplar refused my request for domestic assistance after a pelvic fracture because I had previous public health physiotherapy. So any engagement with public health means they do not help you. Medibank private employs the cruelty of this company.

So helpful and I'm grateful – I had to stay over night, after hospital procedure. I was picked up from hospital and dropped off here. The room I stayed in, was very clean, tidy and had everything one would need for overnight stay, TV, seat, foot rest, temperature control unit, comfortable bed, shower and toilet. A staff member organised my tea for me which was OK, but I… Read more

Don't. Just don't – It seems to be absolutely impossible to schedule a visit and have them turn up at the scheduled time, if they turn up at all. I am not talking plus or minus an hour (which they seem to think is normal), but 2 hours, 3 hours. I have explained over and over to the people scheduling that I work from home and have meetings. I reserve an hour either… Read more

side of the scheduled time, and still they turn up whenever they choose. Basically, if you have an appointment on a particular day, roll the dice as to when they will turn up, if at all. Physios are OK when they do turn up, but you won't see the same one two times running. At least, I have not.

Ampler health. Non existent post op rehab services! – Do not bother with this essential service post op. It does not happen. Still waiting day 6 post knee replacement surgery to see anybody at home! No safe assessment, NO PHYSIO! Surgeon is furious and so are we. Having to now seek a private physio & wait again. This is not on & should not be offered to anybody post op, it is not something that can simply wait! Not to mention the cost !!!!

Too long to wait for rehab services to be arranged – It took a week for them to arrange in-home post-op rehabilitation. Despite offering a national service, they do not account for interstate clients and are closed on weekends and public holidays.
