Simple to use and extremely fast response – I work night shifts on the Weekends, so when I couldn’t make it to my Sunday shift and My regular Drs Surgery and all local surgeries were closed, I couldn’t obtain a Certificate which was demanded from my employer, I found Updoc by chance and had my certificate delivered to both my email and phone, whereas I was able to present this to my Manager on the same night, great speedy service, will use again if needed.
I used Updoc for a quick consult and it was really easy. The process was smooth and I got a call back pretty fast. The doctor was helpful and straight to the point. Good option if you need something simple like a medical certificate or script without going to a clinic.
Don’t believe all the 5 star reviews. If you have been incorrectly / wrongly billed or need online assistance you will never hear back from their customer service area because it’s all AI Robot. The medical Doctors are proficient, they are let down by the non existent Admin & Customer Care areas.
Quick, efficient, easy and trustworthy experience. I highly recommend Updoc if and when you need an urgent sick leave request and an in-house general practitioner appointment is not available to you.

uploaded pictures on the portal for the doctor to review and I was contacted within minutes by a updoc doctor. I’m very happy with the outcome. I was sent a prescription to my phone and was able to collect everything that I needed straight after the appointment online. Very happy with the service they provided and highly recommend to anybody needing an online GP.

Requested medical certificate for wife 9.30 in morning and paid. No response till night,except messages asking to pay extra for express option. Pathetic and clearly dodgy.

I have only used to get repeats on medication im already on. (SO FAR) i woukdnt go back to a dr and i have two in the family who wont write prescription for famil.
Follow-up · My experience with Updoc has been brilliant. So much so I just bought a year subscription. It works out MUCH cheaper than individual consults. Like most people you don't want to buy a year for something that is either a scam or completely inefficient or incompetent. I have been using up doc for nearly a year so it was a no brainer.

EDIT: I have emailed multiple times and had no reply. I still receive marketing emails despite unsubscribing.
Follow-up · Certificate was valid. They doubled up on the reason which made the quality poor and look like a fake.

Used Updoc for a medical certificate the other day and honestly, it couldn’t have been easier. Felt awful, didn’t want to drag myself to a clinic, so I gave it a go. The whole process was super straightforward—filled out a quick form, had a brief online consult, and got the certificate sent through without any hassle. Saved me time, energy, and sitting in a waiting room while sick. Definitely one of those “why didn’t I do this sooner?” moments.
Negative reviews
Do not use. Requested a medical certificate with specific wording required by my workplace. UPDOC stated they could use this wording and provided a preview prior to payment. Once payment was made, medical certificate was received with incorrect wording rending it useless. I requested to have this changed but was ignored by customer support. Ended up lodging a fraud complaint with my bank who refunded the money.
Business is terrible! They double charged me for a consult, tried to claim i entered a subscription, which i didn't and emailed to confirm this. They have now ignored me and blocked my email address! Avoid at all costs!
It’s been 9 days since my pathology test and I still haven’t received my results. communication process is extremely poor and they have little to no regard for patient health, just another online, faceless service praying on the vulnerabilities of our stretched medical system.

call from a doctor at 4am while I was asleep — nearly 11 hours later. By that point, the referral was no longer helpful and the delay caused significant inconvenience.
To make matters worse, despite the money being taken from my account, there was no accountability or proper follow-up. I feel let down by the entire experience, especially given the urgency of my situation.
Unfortunately, this service cost me both time and money, and I would not recommend based on my experience.
