Good monitor – I’ve been happy with this monitor. I haven’t used the sensor pads yet as she sleeps in our room and is noisy all night but when she is napping it’s good for us. I also like I can see the temp of the room and shush her without going in. I’ve taken this outside while gardening and it has also worked well..
Plenty of features not worth the price though – Being a first time parent I was overwhelmed with decions on a moniyor for baby. At the time the AC1100 was top of the range product. Setting it up was easy, the features are great! I noticed the quality on the screen wasnt too great and the reach will drop out of signal the distance was only about 10m but would always alert me for no signal.
Dissatisfied with quality of screen and customer service – I purchased the video monitor after previously using another angelcare monitor.. besides the frustration of the battery life being poor and you constantly need to charge my biggest disappointment is actually the quality of screen giving the price I paid. I accidentally knocked the parent unit screen over on my bench (not dropped on the ground,… Read more
just knocked on the bench) and the screen cracked and now I'm unable to use it. I called customer service and they said I just need to buy another one. That was really annoying to hear as I only had it for 2 months at the time and I didn't even drop it. Now I can't access any of the menus so i can't use it properly

Gives me peace of mind so I can sleep at night – What a great device! While my baby is a sleep means that I can have a sound night sleep as well. It will go off after 20 seconds of no breathing. Sometimes it will go off because you forget to turn it off, but I am ok with that as it means I don't have to worry. It also has a built in thermometer that lets you know how cold/warm the room is.....but I don't find this entirely reliable. Highly recommend this product
Saved my babies life – The sensor mat alerted us to a ALTE, my baby stopped breathing. I got to him so quickly and this was imperative to getting him breathing again. He was then unresponsive for about 15 minutes while ambulance took him to hospital. Aside from this the product is easy to use, and clearly works! Without it, we would not have our precious baby boy… Read more · 1
with us today or he could have damage from being oxygen deprived for a longer period. More likely because of the timing - dead because I would have slept through it.
Unreal monitor – I have a 9 month old and have used the monitor everyday with no issues. Can't fault this product at all. Currently using it too haha Love the double motion sensors. Makes life much easier. Camera is awesome. Need to purchase a tripod as my boy is standing and reaching for it haha Show reply

Not happy – I purchased this unit for my grandson when he was born. The first two weeks were ok, then the handset began to beep about every half an hour. This went on for a quite a few weeks and was driving my son and his wife crazy. Then is stopped as suddenly as it started. The next problem was that the battery life wasn't very long on the handset,… Read more
which was as annoying as the beeping had been. It was difficult as they needed to obviously move the handset about but always had to plug it in.
My grandson is now two and a half, they stopped using the monitor after he was eighteen months, and just relied on hearing him cry as their house is not large. Now another baby is due in about 9 weeks and we need to get this monitor organized again. If the changing of the battery doesn't help, or it starts the beeping noise again, it will be thrown in the bin (despite paying a lot of money for it). I will then get the old monitor my daughter has had for three children, which is now 7 years old (not an Angelcare) and still going strong without a battery change ever!!!
NOT HAPPY.
Great monitor but disappointed in the quality – We purchased the angelcare monitor in 2014 and it was great! we were content knowing that we could see and hear our baby when in his room. We had it for just over two years and it stopped working. The screen is blue and we cannot see/hear anything. I called angelcare and they said it's the batteries. We've replaced them numerous times with… Read more

Keeps me awake all night while my baby sleeps! – We have been using this monitor for two months now. First two weeks I couldn't fault it. Then randomly one night while I was sleeping it started beeping and the display turned white (whilst plugged into the parent base) I took it off and it returned to normal. Put it back on the charging stand bam! White and beeping. Each night it's been getting… Read more

Unreliable – I purchased this monitor as it had been highly recommended however I have found it to be totally unreliable after only four months of use since my baby girl arrived in May 2017. only to find the system without power. On the third occasion (last night) it no longer turns itself back on. The parent control has also frozen on one occasion, I woke only when my baby was screaming however when I turned it off and then back on this rectified the problem.
I have left a message for customer service to phone me back this morning.

Battery life is HORRIBLE – Can't believe it... in the 20th century .. the battery only last for 1-2 hrs...SHOCKING... the pads are the only good thing...SO disappointed.... I had it in the charger like a week turned it on.. and literally after 15 min batter went to 75 percent... half an hr and 50..

Average – The system has a good audio and visual quality. It also has a good range and has been helpful that I can talk to the kids from the receiver as well. There are some negatives that I hadn't considered when buying it though. The camera is not adjustable so I found it difficult to find a place to put the monitor so that the camera lens was looking… Read more

The battery life on it also hasn't been that long. It now only stays off the charge for a couple of minutes before the battery starts to die.

same model works differently – Got one of these for my first baby, would have given it a five star rating had I rated it back then. When number 2 came along almost 2 years later, I purchased what I thought would be the same unit, indeed it looked the same and had the same model number, but with one crucial difference. The newer monitor had an alarm that was activated on the… Read more
parents unit when the baby unit was switched off. What this meant was that, when the baby woke for a night time feed and you picked the baby up out of its bassinet, if you turned off the unit, which you need to do or the alarm will activate because it is no longer sensing the baby's breathing, then the alarm would sound on the parents unit, which is intensely annoying in the middle of the night especially for other members of the family trying to sleep. I tried turning off the parents unit before going in to baby, but this did not work either. Got the lovely shop lady to ask her suppliers about this and was told, this is how the new ones work. I got around this by using the new one on the toddler who no longer needed the breathing alarm and used the old one for baby.
Other than this one fault they are an extremely good unit work very well and give you a lot of peace of mind, so if they have fixed this annoying feature they would be worth considering.

Highly recommended at first but not anymore! – Only had this monitor for a year and a half and its gone from the best investment i made to a total headache! I cant have the video on anymore without it dropping out of signal, my house… Read more
isnt huge but there are only a few places i can have it sitting now that it actually works. It even drops out of range and beeps at me in the middle of the night sometime and our rooms are only 10 steps away from eachother. As time goes on its just getting worse and worse. I spent so much money on this thinking i would be able to use it with future babies too but unfortunately thats just not going to happen.
To say im disappointed with this is an understatement.
Buy a different brand – I did my research and the AC1100 appeared to have everything I wanted. However it thoroughly disappointed me. We have a two story house and the signal drops out between upstairs and downstairs. (My friend's Oricom didn't suffer the same issue). The first three months was ok and could use the parent unit with batteries. Though the batteries only… Read more
lasted about 30mins off AC power and never charged.
After three months could not use parent consult unless it was plugged into mains power (even with new batteries).
Night vision is terrible - couldn't even make out my baby.
Resolution is poor considering this is an expensive product.
Sensitivity cannot be altered.
I wish I bought an Oricom instead. Now I have just a really expensive brick.
Great in the beginning – Loved my angelcare in the beginning couldn't fault it, however only bought it April last year ( from babies r us) and it has stopped working! Not happy with the price you pay for these. Will definitely be considering buying an Oricom instead! Seems other reviewers having the same problem

Can't live without it!! – I love this product! It is fantastic! And it gives me great comfort to know that when my child is sleeping, I can take the monitor with me and know that he is safe and sound in his bed! would highly recommend this product to every new mum. Love it!
3 years now, never had an issue! – I Love this monitor. Ready to buy a 2nd for baby no 2! I Love how it is easy to use, battery life is a couple of hours off the charge, and night vision and sound is great. Even on the lowest screen brightness, I am able to see clearly.
Have had no issues! – This monitor has been perfect! What some people don't understand is that if you put normal batteries (non rechargeable) of course it's not going to last long charged!! I have rechargeable batteries in mine and it stays charged for 5 hours plus off the charger!! It has been perfect for me and I couldn't live without it :)
Ok at best – We had the model down (without video) in Angelcare monitors and sold it because we wanted visual. We are not convinced this was a great idea. For the following reasons: - the handset regularly 'falls out' with the base unit and needs to be re-paired. This means going into the sleeping babies room and fiddling around with the base unit with a… Read more
handset that is repeatedly sounding an alarm
- the battery in the handset only lasted 6 weeks. When we called to complain about this we were told that the 'night vision' mode sucks the power so you need to have it on sleep mode (the whole reason we bought this was for visual)
- the 'touch screen' is not as touch/sensitive as you'd expect. For example - if your baby starts crying and you want to go in and pick them up, you need to turn off the sound and/or sensor pad. If you attempt to do this quickly the handset will beep at you and won't complete the task. You need to press each button and then wait 1-3 seconds before pressing the next button.
- if you forget to turn off the sensor pad (using the handset) in the middle of the night before going into the babies room an alarm will sound. This either means turning the base unit off in the babies room (thereby starting an alarm on the handset in your bedroom which wakes your partner) or else you need to leave the baby crying while you sprint back to your bedroom to turn it off. There ought to be a switch on the base unit to turn off the sensor pad momentarily for sleep deprived / forgetful parents (or sneaky mother in laws who like to go in an pick baby up while mum is sleeping... And end up waking her with the alarm)
Don't waste your money – Monitor's overpriced and has stopped working after less that 6 months. Called customer service and was simply told to buy a new one. Thanks for the great service! I will be advising all friends and family to stay away from this make/brand. Trust all the other comments below and pick another monitor!
Parent console doesn't charge easily – Takes 4-5 minutes to turn on. The battery last maybe 30 minutes when not on charge. Not reliable. Very disappointed after paying over $350!!! Would go for the ORICOM BABYSENSE instead. The only reason I bought this monitor was for the sensor pads. Wish I had done more research before believing in brand

Disappointed – Considering the price, terrible night vision, I can barely make out my baby.Parents unit does not stay charged very long. I can't comment on sensor pads as I didn't end up using them as Bub has been in our room. I just set this up although I purchased it 6 months ago. If I hadn't had it sitting there so long I probably would have returned it. Very… Read more
disappointed, especially as we chose this over another due to the wrong advice from the lady in the shop that said the sensors go directly under the sheets/mattress protector - we thought these square pads would be more comfable than the round ones of the oricom
On our second one but now it has stopped working :( – Easy to set up and use. We had one for our first child but it stopped working after about a year. little noise. We have just started using for our second child now and it worked fine for a few weeks and then the sensor pads weren't being picked up - tested with the old ones and they aren't being picked up either so looks like something has gone wrong with the nursery unit. Not sure I'll bother buying a third as the price is just so steep and it doesn't seem to last much over a year.
Alarm is going off when i am resettling my baby – Was good to start with have been using for around 6 months is set up correctly and settings are all good but now every night when my baby wakes i pat him back to sleep and the breathing alarm goes off!!! Very frustrating as it sometimes wakes him back up or if im half asleep it freaks me out as i have to check to make sure he is actually breathing

Was 110% happy with this monitor now having second thoughts – We've been using this monitor for about 4 months now and tonight the sensor pads decided they would stop working. I've turned it off and on from the monitor and power point about 20 times and it still keeps beeping like there is no… Read more

Not sure if it gives peace of mind or not?? – We have been using this monitor about 3 weeks. The sound and video monitoring is good. The movement sensor pads are the reason we bought this model, but I'm not sure if they work properly or not. We test it each night using our hand on the mattress, it picks up movement and the alarm will sound when we remove our hand. But a few times the alarm… Read more
has gone off when our son has been in the cot being patted by one of us, so there is definitely movement. We have tried different sensitivity settings. So it makes me a bit concerned it isn't working properly.
Also sometimes when we have the parent unit in sleep mode, it will do three quick beeps and the video screen will come on. It is the same as the low battery noise but it can do this even when fully charged and sitting on the charging unit. This can happen during the night when we are all asleep (very annoying) or during the day (when we don't have the movement or other alarms activated). I can't find a reason why it does this - it's not only very frustrating but again makes me wonder about reliability.
The other thing I found annoying that you might what to think about before purchase is the nursery monitor has to be quite high to see into the cot, and a minimum of 1m away but the cable is fairly short so it can be a bit difficult especially if you don't have a close powerpoint (manual says not to use extension cord).
So overall I gave 2 stars as I don't have peace of mind and I'm not sure if I'd recommend it above other brands. Also I wrote an email over a week ago to the Australian email contact on the Angelcare website asking why the parent unit beeps and "wakes up" for no reason, and why the movement alarms goes off when we are patting our son in the cot, but I have received no response.

Broken after 7 months – After writing a review stating this product would not work with a ceiling fan now after 7 months of use it has broken. The camera section when switched on made a loud popping noise then you could smell a smokey smell and this product no longer works. Overall reliable except for our parent unit dying once – Overall, love this monitor. However, out of the blue, our parent unit started having a really faded display, then the display died altogether. called them at 4pm the arvo before). We did however have to pay $60 something for it, which I was a little disappointed about, as it was through no fault of our own that it died, just technical fault, and it is a top of the range unit in price already, so you would think that would be an exchange no brainer no charge? Anyway, it wasn't, we had to pay, and did, and we're happy with the new unit. It holds its charge properly again, has a bright display & works as clearly & crisply as ever.
Sensor pads are horrible – I have a premie baby (27weeker) so a monitor with sensor pad was a must after 3 months in hospital. Amazing except.. battery life – I purchased this item February 2014 but it was not used until April 2014 when my son was born. I couldn't fault it's functionality and has helped me feel reassured night after night for nearly two years however, by 19 months the battery now lasts about 15/20 mins max which makes it almost unusable unless it's on its charge cradle, poor for its price.
Good, but doesn't work with fans – I have Almost no faults for this monitor. The sound is clear and undistorted, the talk function is clear in the baby's room, the settings are easy to navigate and change. My favourite features are the VOX so it's silent in my room until he makes a noise, then the sound switches on. I also love the function that makes a beep when baby moves… Read more
(breathes) so if I haven't seen him Move for a while, I can listen to the beep and feel reassured. The only things I dislike is that it doesn't have video and it doesn't work when there is a fan on. That annoys me a lot, but I realise it's because the sensor pads need to be sensitive to work properly. What I did to overcome this was out the fan outside his room so the air still circulated but it was blowing near the cot. I would recommend this to everyone I know! I co-slept when he was younger, but he was very active and kept waking up with me so close. He is a very big boy, so outgrew the bassinet quickly and I had to transition him to his cot in his nursery at 7 weeks. I felt secure that the Angel care monitor was watching over him, and we have have no issues so far (currently 18 weeks).
ONLY CAME WITH 1 SENSOR PAD – Hello can someone please help me I purchased my Angelcare AC1100 from Baby Bunting and just found out that it was supposed to come with 2 sensor pads however we only ever received one in our box. It would probably explain why when we moved out son into his cot the Sensor Pad and Alarm would only work on occasions. Can someone please tell me who I need to speak to regarding this.

Unsafe and Stopped Working - Major Failure – We are deeply disappointed with the quality of the Angelcare AC1100 baby monitor manufactured by Angelcare and their seller and distributor in Australia. astounds us.
When the unit failed I checked to see if it was just a power cable failure and it was confirmed that the base unit failed. When I contacted them the company representatives offered quickly to send me a replacement power cable. When I explained that the base unit was what has failed they both tried to push me that it could be repaired. I clearly indicated that as a safety item designed to protect a newborn that it's failure is considered a major failure as confirmed by the ACCC website hence we are entitled to a refund or replacement https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/consumer-rights-guarantees/repair-replace-refundand
This despite the fact that the manufacturer Angelcare now offers a three year warranty on its products and its within this period and the fact its a premium top level product - hence would be expected to last much longer.
Yet the companies still want to say its not a major failure. They want us to rely on a "repaired" safety item to protect our child's life! When I clearly reminded them of the law, consumer guarantee they both failed again, They also told me that if I want to go down the avenue of a refund or replacement that I should take it up with the ACCC - that it was up to me and that I should go back to the company where it was purchased. Meanwhile we have had nothing to protect the safety of our child
