Some of these reviews are interesting to say the least
Sure, if they have done the wrong thing give them a 2 or a 1. But I looked at 1 review and they gave Esanda a 1 because they are still paper-based and another who complained they took advantage by offering high interest rates and gave them a 1 which is just crazy. I do agree with the reviewer regarding how archaic they are with their paper-based system however they offered me a very good rate and on the few instances where the funds were not ready when the DD hit they only charged $5.00. I definitely would not give them a 5 but they can offer good rates if you time it right. I take two away because of their lack of an online system which not only is inconvenient it does give an air of non-transparency be it correct or otherwise
ANZ Repossessed my car because i have lost my job
I have had a car loan with Esanda (ANZ Bank)for the last 5 years, I have been unable to pay the last 2 instalments due to my loss of income, so they decided to repossess my car during the middle of the Victorian Covid lock down, shame on you ANZ, you have not only taken my car but also any chance of be getting money when the lock down is over.
Spread the word everyone, let everyone know how they treat customers in short financial difficulties that have not been caused by me.
SHAME ON YOU ANZ
Terrible Company..don’t do it
This Esanda/ANZ is crap company. Call up to ask pay out figure and I pay then close the contract/account, the basted still taking out my money from my debit account. And try to ask and return the over payment and toke 3 week to get your money. Never ever again deal with this Esanda/ANZ .
Please you people try other Bank don’t go to this company..
I got a car loan through Esanda back in 2014. I got a Toyota Corolla 2009 model for $13,000 and still have another year left to pay on it even though I have made extra repayments on it to pay it off quicker. Once I finish paying the car off I would have paid $28,500. The interest is ridiculous, they are con artists and even when calling them numerous times about how much i have left owing its like the price never goes down! I have enquired about paying out the loan but theres a payout fee as well. I have also asked them previously if I am able...to sell the car and pay out the loan with the money I receive for the car and they said I wasnt allowed to and apparently it is in the contract (however I couldnt find this anywhere). It has just been an awful experience and I cannot wait to be done with Esanda. I should also mention that they tried to sting me with a higher interest rate before this one but I walked away and they knocked the interest rate down by 5%!! I am so glad that I never agreed to pay that and am upset at myself for still paying what I did.
Early Termination Fee
What a rip off .... do the right thing and pay your loan on time EVERY month, then sell you car, get the payout which includes an "Early Termination Fee". Not only do they "stack the loan" their way so that the initial 2 or 3 years of payments pay off the a big chunk of the interest component first, BUT then they charge an early termination fee. Corporate GREED highlighted again.
ANZ and Esanda are terrible.
Poor service, I asked for a car loan payout letter. They issued one with $2000 higher than Principal+early termination fees, called 3 times no one could explain to me why i got charged extra. I have been working with ANZ since i started my business with over a million annual turn over but they made me really disappointed. I am going to close all my accounts today and suggest that to everyone.
A company that will give you no future
A company that does not call, SMS, email, you and they will default you without hesitation. I have a default cause of this issue and I found out by another company doing a credit check. I rather go to the big banks even though they might have a higher interest rate they keep you updated. You want kill your future then this is the company for you
Dodgy, rude and verbally aggressive
Shocked to receive an unsolicited, unprofessional and unpleasant phone call demanding my account details with ANZ from ANZ Esanda Finance. I naturally assumed it was a scam and refused to give details as they couldn’t tell me what the call was about! Dodgy as..hope it wasn’t ANZ who gave them my name and number!!!
Worst phone call
I received a phone call just before saying I owe $140 and was in arrears last payment was made last year we're now in June 2018 they came across it now this is a scam I'm not paying it they also charged me interest after all this time didn't receive a letter or phone call. What a bunch of thieves. Don't trust them.
Esanda stuck in the dark ages
Im suprised that in this day and age they have absolutely no form of online service to customers. Perhaps its a sales stratergy to keep us from paying off that loan faster. Every time i want to check my balance I have to call up, and when i want it in writing its a locked pdf with a long winded password they only give you verbally over the phone. Sound dodgy?
Dont ever sign with esanda and if the broker says its a good deal with them then wait or renegotiate with another lender. I found out 2 days after I signed with esanda the inhouse car finance was 50.00 per month cheaper.
One of the few companies still using paper (i.e. no online functionality)
Terrible interest rates (especially if you are going for your first car loan - Esanda tried to slug me with 14% on my first Mazda). They have zero online account functionality (all phone and paper). If you want a payout quote, expect to call them and be on hold for half an hour. And to top it off, most employees have the personality and friendliness of a wet mop. Rotten egg of a company and a perfectly good reason to dump ANZ as a bank. Note also that this company is so behind the times, that they don't even have an account on Product Review to give feedback on everyone's reviews... Esanda = Dinosaurs = Due for Extinction.
Questions & Answers
Apparently I have an outstanding loan. It would have been for a Holden Viva back in 2011/2012. I was currently living in Perth W.A. The car was stolen & burnt out in 2013 in Launceston. There was a police report & the car was destroyed. I was at the understanding that it was reported to you. I only found this loan on my credit report & what do I have to do to repair this please.
