Disappointed

I was really disappointed with Now Finance. I got my credit rating and interest and applied for my loan which would have gotten rid of two credit cards and a small personal loan and also extra for improvements to our house. My payment would have been less than what I am paying now for the credit cards and loan. Anyway wasn't the case, which is fine but they declined my application within an hour of my applying. I only knew it was declined when I went in to check. They never rang me or emailed me. I just thought someone may have phoned to discuss the matter or help me sort out a solution and the chat lady...was quick to get offline.

Great service

Great customer service, very fast and professional. Always available to answer questions and respond to concerns. Very responsive and understanding. Not much of an impost on the customer to provide documentation.

Great service with prompt payment..

Now Finance were always pleasant throughout the whole process. I would prefer to know every detail of information that is required for processing upfront, otherwise excellent service and prompt payment.

Great do deal with. Lower interest rates than the banks.

Great to deal with, based in Australia and freindly staff.
Rates were better than the banks, finance was approved and arranged quickly (was In my account that night)
I am into my 2nd time dealing with them now. They set me up with a larger loan to buy a car.
Only downfall is no online portal to monitor balances and manage payments.
Need to Call or Email for a statement ect, they are quite quick with that.

Horrible customer service, no communication, over a week to get any form of reply. worth paying more interest than dealing with this company. avoid at all cost, they pretend to know what they're doing.

customer service officer lost my paperwork had to send through multiple times just do yourself a favour if you have any self-respect and believe you deserve more as a customer go ANYWHERE but here.

Stay away with this company. They love to play with words

I received a mail from them to apply for a personal loan and I could check my interest rate offer without affecting my credit rating. But they are very missing leading and here is how...
1.) you will go through the process of "Check your rates". It will tell you are successful on the next screen but won't show you the rates.

2.) you have to click "Start application" and then it will show you the interest rate. I also received an email saying that based on my "Credit score" they "May" offer me an interest 8.95%, however the interest they offered was double.

3.) when I raised my concern with their online chat team, they said it based on my credit score and they have used the word "May". If it is based on my credit score the offer should be 8.95% or else they should not say "Based on your credit score". If my credit score says I have good rating then why the fine line. Be clear in saying "We may offer from 8.95% subject to other terms and conditions" instead of saying "Based on your credit score" this term is misleading.

4.) the online chat lady was rude too... "You should learn to read the ****" is what she say.

There are plenty of other finance sources to try with, but not "Now finance".

In regards to our discussion about your online experience which we discussed over the phone which appears to be a misunderstanding about our get my rate process to clarify. Our interest rates starts from 8.95% depending on your credit score which you obtained upfront. And in regards to our mail out has reconfirmed that our interest rates starts from 8.95% depending on credit score. Really appreciate you taking the time to discuss it over the phone. All the best.

Highly recommended

I was glad I went with Now Finance. They were friendly, timing it perfectly and were great. I was able to get the money within a few hours after being approved. If I had one minor detail to fault, their online chat could use a few tweaks. But besides that, I'd highly recommend them.

Excellent and easy service

Good for quick cash

Overall good. Guy I dealt with was pretty approachable and pleasant to deal with. Some others could be little annoying as they wanted to deal with me every single time I called them. So it was bit frustrating to tell different people the same thing again and again. Should have been one dedicated person to deal with not multiple ppl for one file. Overall I'm happy with them.

This company was a nightmare to deal with

This company has been a nightmare to deal with. My customers service officer kept asking for paperwork that was previously sent. [Name Removed] . My customer service office who was helping me tme with the loan talked me into applying for more then my original amount - eg I applied for $12000 debt consolidation loan to pay out some small loans to reduce my repayments. [Name Removed] advised me to applying for a higher amount $30000 which was later denying. I have a good credit score and repayment history so not sure why the loan was denied. You need to scrap the pre approval process as well because that mean next to nothing

The assessment process works through a number of areas and is not confined to one area i.e. credit report which is why we may request other supporting documents at a different time throughout the application process. Worst company ever

Customer service is rude, have been taking double payments out without notice or permission and proceed to send an email the day they do it and say they havent been able to get into contact with me (lie) via calls, sms etc..

Asked for financial hardship, declines it even though i have no job etc..

Will try and pay it out early and they can stick it.

My customer service experience was encouraging. Staff were helpful and patient. I was informed of all costs. The rate for the loan is very reasonable, better than some other lenders.

Saved me from Credit Card hell!

I like many others was drowning with Credit Card interest, applied to NOW Finance and application, assessment, approval to payment into account was days! NOW Finance interest rate is half the amount I was previously paying so you have saved me thousands in interest payments! Customer service was fantastic, people call you back when they say they will, no nonsense just competent, timely service that beats one of the big four hands down! No hidden fees, no extras, incredibly satisfied with NOW Finance.

They require your online banking passwords to access your bank statements. Also give you "pre-approv

Firstly, they send you messages and emails "congratulating" you for your pre-approval. This is a red flag. It's a marketing ploy - their pre-approval means nothing. At this stage, they haven't even looked at your credit reports. This is not a pre-approval like you might get for any other line of credit; they actually have no idea if you are going to be provided the loan at this stage. They are trying to get to you continue your application. Second red flag - they ask you to provide your online banking details, including passwords, so they can see your bank statements. This step is outsourced to another third party site. DO NOT DO THIS. Never give out your passwords to any third party. There should be no issue with uploading PDF bank statements for a loan application. A bank statement is a perfectly acceptable, legal document that will show them with all the information they need, however they do not provide this as an option. Applying for a loan should not require your online banking passwords. Please keep in mind, if you have voluntarily handed out your sign-in credentials, and at some point in the future there is a data breech and you lose money as a result, Banks will not provide you with a refund as you were responsible for providing your sign in credentials in the first place. Now Finance will tell you that your details are encrypted and secure and the data is not stored. Regardless of what they've chosen as their position on these sites, do not take the risk. Banks advise against these banking data sites, as does the Centre for Internet Safety at Canberra University. Despite what Now Finance or any other Payday Loan business says, they have no control over how the third party banking-data site handles your data, and you have no idea how these sites actually use and store your data. Please do not accept this practise as normal, or support any business that utilise this practise. Run a mile.

Good Afternoon Gemma, As Head of Compliance I manage any feedback in relation to any concerns raised by a customer. Firstly, thank you for raising these matters. I’ve reviewed the application and can confirm our team have acted within the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009, responsible lending guidelines and our Credit & Lending Policy. I understand your concerns in relation to using the link to request statements through the Proviso functionality. I can confirm the user inputs their banking details to the portal as a one-time use only and these details are not stored nor can they be retrieved by another party. If a user has concerns keying in their details, they could merely change their internet banking password the very moment after they have completed the process of statement retrieval. Before we introduced the Proviso function I completed legal and compliance due-diligence to ensure the requirements of the Privacy Act were adhered to. Our reasoning for using the Proviso statement function is to provide a secure platform with a quick turnaround timeframe to assist our customers. Once the user has finalised the request, we would receive statements electronically within less than 6 seconds via an encrypted file directly to our secure internal file. Many customers use this function and the feedback we have received is very positive. The Proviso system permits a seamless and secure environment which assists not only the consumer but also the lender. All lenders noted on the bank statement link have provided access via their secure links to do so. Customer feedback in general is that they want a decision on their application in the shortest of time and as we are in a highly regulated environment, we must ensure adherence to the responsible lending obligations. Our Policies and process are designed around ensuring regulatory compliance whilst also meeting the consumers need. To clarify we are only a Personal Loan provider and not a Payday Lender as noted in your feedback. ASIC have reviewed the secure bank statement retrieval portal along with each lender. Each lender has provided the secure information that enables bank statement retrieval for each of their customers and have completed their own due-diligence in relation to protecting their customer data. I'm in desperate need to consolidate my loans - everything comes out at the wrong times and it's a struggle. I don't have a great repayment history and currently have a loan with a lender called MoneyMe - are they classified as a payday lender? Asking before I apply so I don't waste anyones' time. Thanks

NOW FINANCE assess all applications under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, responsible lending guidelines and our own Lending Policy. We must ensure that our product meets the requirements and objectives of the customer and that the customer would be able to meet the obligations of the contract without causing hardship. If you make contact we may be able to work through a possible solution.Don't bother with this company because of you have exsiting debts they factor this into the application process. I recent applied for a debt consolidation loan with Now Finance and it was rejected based on my current liabilities, that would have been gone if they approved my loan. I have a full time job and excellent repayment history and good credit rating but was still declined based on current financial obligations. I'd try some other company these guys will just screw with your credit score and won't approve if you have current debts - don't fall for their hype.
