Thanks Kosta for your patience and understanding with our loan needs and timing. Being on a rural property makes it hard for good communication with limited mobile service. Sometimes we felt that’s some calls were unnecessary though, a simple text would’ve sufficed but I suppose you have boxes to tick

and other finance companies. After more than six days of waiting and getting nowhere, I got in contact with Darcy — and within around three hours, I was approved and everything was sorted.
Being completely new to finance, I really appreciated how easy Darcy made the entire experience. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions and was always available on the phone whenever I needed help. I never felt like I was being left to figure things out myself or wondering what was happening next.
Darcy genuinely went above and beyond. What had been an absolute headache through other companies became incredibly quick, straightforward and stress-free. No unnecessary steps, no constantly chasing people up and no waiting around for answers.
I picked up my new Raptor not long ago, and to top it all off, Darcy managed to get me a considerably better deal than the other finance options I had been given.
For my first ever experience financing a vehicle, I couldn’t have asked for a better or easier process. I’m extremely happy I ended up going through Darcy and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for vehicle finance — especially if it’s your first time and you’re not sure where to start.

The consultant I was assigned from Fido was amazing from the start, very polite friendly, was very clear with information. We did have a little hiccup because I’m on the pension but he went out of his way to find someone to give me a loan. opinion they should make it easier not harder to pay off your loan, not his fault. He did make sure I got the option to pay off early which I will definitely take advantage of. Apart from that I had a great experience with them. Highly recommend.

Jack Le Forest was fantastic from the beginning, making the process easy and hassle-free. The only shortfall was that they didn't disclose the interest rate until I asked for it at the end, after the contract was signed, and I know why, as it is high with this particular lender.

Timelines were not met. Communication poor. Application submitted even though I was told they were approaching funders to find the best rates. Then I find a credit enquiry and approval in my inbox. They promise great interest rates but you don't find out the interest rate until you have purchased the asset and your credit score has been impacted.
I had a terrible experience with Fido Finance. Initially, I was impressed when Bailey called within 5 minutes of my enquiry, promising he would “absolutely” find a lender to fit my budget for a vehicle I was travelling to inspect in 10 days' time. I immediately provided all our info-payslips, IDs, etc. Despite "conditional approval," bailey… Read more
flat-out refused to tell me the interest rate or repayments. I was told it wouldn't be "fair" to give a rate earlier in the process- a ridiculous sales tactic I've never encountered with professional brokers who are actually transparent.
It's now 5 days before I inspect the car. After I had to chase him, bailey claimed the delay was due to the seller not providing info. I checked with the seller directly, who proved via time-stamped messages and calls that bailey hadn't even contacted them until hours after he claimed he had. When bailey finally did speak to the seller, I was told that bailey was condescending and dismissive of them, despite the seller having everything ready as id pre-warned them.
I couldn't even compare Fido's offer because bailey refused to tell me what it was. I ended up going with another company that was professional, honest about timelines, and upfront with the numbers from day one.
To make matters worse, when I informed bailey that I had gone with another company, he tried to claim he was consulting with the same lender and would have had the same outcome. This is hard to believe, given that the other company gave me a confirmed rate during our very first phone call and had the seller paid within 48 hours. Bailey couldn't even give me a ballpark figure after 3 business days of having my documents. It’s clear he was either stalling or just couldn't match the service I found elsewhere.
It's actually quite ironic that their website claims they "move mountains to fund your loan within 24hrs" when my experience was the exact opposite.
Avoid Fido if you want a straightforward, quick turnaround.
Terrible service, with never getting back to you as promised and then only after one’s rings numerous times. The agent didn’t seem to care to much and never put much effort in. Took 5 working days to find out what anyone with loan expertise should have known in one day.
