good – I purchased this phone second hand. It is a great phone and has good quality. But, it heats up very fast and becomes a bit too hot for me. Nearly all the chargers i have bought for it have broken within days. The phone system works fast and the camera quality is great. The battery life isn't that great as it turns off when it is on 20 %.  Show details

Switched from Samsung – I was always a Samsung person, but I switched to the 'dark side' when I was given this phone by my father. I have found it has a lot more features than the Samsung and doesn't seem to freeze as much as my Samsung did (I had Samsung galaxy 4). It's also easier to hold anc use as it's smaller than the Samsung. I always thought iPhones were hard to… Read more

Great for a first phone and great for its time! – In my opinion, apple did a really great job with the iPhone 5s! It implemented the lightning charging port which is great. The phone is great for people with small hands that can't hold larger phones such as the iPhone 6 plus etc. The camera is also decent for the price. Although it is a great phone, the battery life is a bit of a let down...  Show details

Ok but not perfect! – I bought a refurbished phone that came from Hong Kong and it has been ok. Time will tell how it lasts. The battery needs charging every day with only average use. Sometimes is is difficult to slide to answer. However, I am finding it easy to use and a good introduction to iPhone. The phone has a 13 month warranty and that is the main reason I purchased the phone.  Show details

Old schoo in the New Time – I still love small phone in the years which are dominant by large monitor cell phones. the one I bought is second hand, cheap nothing wrong, just cost me around $250, then you can get a cell phone with apple system which is the best system of all mobile phones. worthy to get one if your budget is under $300 BUT DON'T UPDATE TO ISO11!!!  Show details

An excellent phone but the battery puffed up after only three years & no joy from Apple – Loved this phone. Last of the "perfect sized" phones I think. It did everything in a small package. Battery life was always a problem. Maybe it was faulty from the start. The battery puffed up & pushed the screen out just recently after nearly three years. Took it to Apple Store & they said it's normal when battery gets to end of it's life! How… Read more

come my iphone 4 & ipad 2 are still fine? So I had to pay $120 for a replacement. Asked about upgrading but told since the 5S was faulty (!!!) no go. Disappointing. Anyway was a great phone let down by a fault.

Works very well for older technology – I knew it was discontinued, but bought it for emergencies only First time user of camera.Very easy to use.Very bright screen, dropped it twice and no damage.Use it for watch and torch as well as talk and texting.apps run as smoothly on phone as on my i pad.Key pad buttons a little small so I bought a stylus.  Show details

Very Good! – Has lasted a long time and is easy to fit in pockets or wallets. The phone is a bit low on storage but that is because of the model I chose. Overall I would definitely recommend this phone for a good way to communicate to people with a smaller sized phone.  Show details

Solid Phone, Good Price – The iPhone 5s is an older but still very competent iPhone. With age, its price has gone down significantly enough that the price is so good it's really hard to not give this phone a recommendation. Great camera, great build quality, zippy performance and a stunning retina display all in a metal constructed, thin and light frame. Whats not to like?  Show details

Good All Round – I find this phone good all round. The only disappointment is the battery life. When using the internet a lot the battery life is terrible. I have however given mine a fair hammering and I have never had any issues with damage such as cracked screens or the like. Good overall  Show details

Love this phone! – While there are much newer iPhones out there, I love this one! It has all the features I want, but in a size that is easy to transport and use in your hand! Previously I had upgraded to a newer one, but found it to be too big & cumbersome. Also, since the price on these has dropped so much, you don't have to worry about breaking/losing a really expensive phone! Too bad support for this will end soon.  Show details

Perfect size – I understand the benefit of a larger screen, however, iPhone 5s is a lot easier to use it with one hand. Very reliable but the battery's capacity is getting smaller and smaller as it ages. The back of the phone is prone to scratch. A very easy to use and reliable mobile phone overall.  Show details

Still a great phone if you can live with compromises – Although nearing the end of its relevancy, this phone is still capable of being your daily driver. If you only have a small budget for a phone, buying a second hand Iphone 5s may be more worthwhile than buying a cheaper Android as it still runs quite smoothly and gets all IOS updates.  Show details

Best phone Apple came out with – The size of the phone is the perfect fit for your hand, pocket & if your a women; your going-out purse. Camera is good enough quality & has the fingerprint sensor so its just as good as the Iphones that have continued to come out. Sad it has been discontinued.  Show details

A great phone – I have had this phone for a number of years now and it has never let me down. I find it easy to work and understand and the memory is pretty good too. iPhone with a mind of it's own – Refurbished and sadly acting up for the short time I've had it. Keyboard, numberpad are erratic and phone freezes continuously. Yes this is a known issue with Apple, but phones should not be resold if this issue is not recognised in the "refurbish" process that is Satiated as being undertaken. Prefer just to exchange or refund. December 2016… Read more

Update: I had hoped that the updated iOS would alleviate the problem, but it didn't.

Six months on and it is still erratic and possessed!

April 2017 Update: So finally gave up due to never being able to reliably receive a call or text message.

Took phone to Apple Genius Bar. They opened up the iPhone and gave it a coursery inspection. Bad news.

Full of 3rd party parts and "tampered with" areas. They didn't do a full inspection as they decided in the

short inspection time that it wasn't in their opinion an Apple product. Their records showed that the serial number said that the product was a grey 16gb IPhone 5c. I bought a gold 32gb supposed to be iPhone 5c.

I'm now waiting for a response from the "senior technicians" of Kogan on this "refurbished" device.

So after getting 2 iPhones from Kogan, both procured from China, both tampered with, dodgy 3rd parts that Apple refuse to have anything to do with I conclude that you need to steer clear of “refurbished” garbage, it’s just a code word for trouble.

Best model no brainer – Simply the easiest phone system available! iPhone has a very user friendly application system for all ages and failproof to a tee! Owning an iPhone has never been easier! I know quite a few people in their maturing years and they actually enjoy learning more about their phone and feel more confidant using them! In their own words! Easy peasy!!

Good product yet battery life could be better – I've had this for a year and a half and I liked it yet the battery life was bad. Had to recharge every night. It would be best to purchase a power pack phone cover to help levitate the stress of no power when your at a concert or out and about.

I use my iPhone 5 for all my internet needs. I have apps for banking, social media, research and art – Excellent value! A walking library, bank, and reference unit. The most versatile and useful product I own. As a researcher I can access google at any time, store articles in Evernote, iBooks and kindle and access social media and email at any time. I work in Community Services so my phone is a vital part of my work.

Phone was great, warranty is useless – This was my third IPhone and I loved it. The phone itself had a ding early on but still continued to work for another 18 months. ding in the corner of the case. Sorry but I find it hard to fathom how it took 18 months for that ding to kill the phone. The phone itself has always had a cover including a glass cover. Absolutely a waste of Money – I personally think iPhone anything is a waste of money. No freedom at all and the fact remains that iPhones have little errors, ALL THE TIME. Always causing me problems and as I use it for business it is unreliable. In the end I simply would not buy again. Tom

Perfect phone – Perfect phone. Excellent battery life. Keeps all your data even if u change phones. Very strong. Camera takes amazing pictures. U can share ur photos. Music and apps. With family. Started with iPhone from the very beginning and would never change. Siri needs alittle work but apart from that iPhone is the best.

Battery life is so bad – I have had so many problems with the battery life of this phone. It switches off at 20% charged and then will take a full five minutes to switch back on. Otherwise it will jump from 30% - 2% with reloading my email inbox on the mail app. Have to charge it 3 times a day.

Possibly the best Apple mobile product – The iPhone 5s is so immaculately made, with flawless workmanship and perfectly logical dimensions. It fits very well in the hand, provides a great aesthetic to the user. It has a fast response to every single app thrown it's way, added to good battery life and brilliant camera. Great phone! – The iPhone 5s is an amazing phone.. But the only thing I wish was different was the battery lasting longer! I love the quality and every feature that the phone has! It is the perfect size for me and I just love everything about this phone so much. It's amazing!! ;)

Good phone but slightly overrated – I love the looks of the 5s. The speed of the phone is really fast. There are never any delays on anything and touch response is immediate and accurate.Overall performance is very good. The Apple ecosystem is amazing. Every good app is available for iPhone first or exclusively in some cases. The battery life is average I need to recharge phone every night. Overall I'm very happy with this phone.

Just Amazing! – This is the best thing I've ever bought! Recommend to literally everyone! Good resolutions and just really good product. Really good size, and definitely better than the four version. Apple are always very helpful if you ever have any questions about any products. Just all rounder very VERY good. Cheers
