Not good – It might be a good formula but I find it very hard to feed it my baby. It does not come out of the bottle. My baby is only 12 weeks old. We are using Dr Browns bottle. The formula stucks in the nipple as it would not dissolve properly. My baby kept crying while feeding. The whole box is going to bin as I cannot see my baby struggling to get the feed. Going back to Nan Supreme. Show details

Successful experience – Due to hospitalisation from birth to one month, my son and I had to work very hard to establish breastfeeding, which we have now achieved at four months. My son was fed expressed breast milk, however he required more than I could express at times, so formula was used. In the hospital they used a different formula and my son was unable to keep it… Read more

down and had stomach pains. Once home I received advice from the pharmacist, who informed me formula labelled HA is easier for babies to digest and has closer characteristics of breast milk compared to other formulas. My son hasn't had any issues with Aptamil Gold+ HA and hasn't indicated to know the difference between the formula and expressed breast milk. The Aptamil Gold+ HA is easy to prepare, my son appears to enjoy it and I appreciate the inclusion of Omega Three. I recommend this formula, especially worth a try if your little one has difficulties keeping other formulas down or tends to have regular stomach discomfort

Completely different baby – Ever since I brought my baby home he would cry nonstop. At first I thought it was colic he had allot of wind and shown signs of colic. I tried three different formulas, bottle changes and drops (nothing worked). A naturopath suggested to try hydrolyzed formula. I did some research to understand what exactly this meant and even though most… Read more

information advised it was for babies who are prone to allergies. I should note that my family does not have a history of allergies but I was desperate to try anything. Hydrolyzed formulas have broken down protein to help the baby’s stomach digest the milk much easier. Despite the smelly poos, bland taste my baby is no longer in distress. I add a little bit more water to prevent constipation and it works very well. I should also note my breast milk was also causing him distress as he would get abdomen pain and severely cry. I have now changed to giving him formula full time and plan to introduce my milk in addition to other full protein based formulas once his stomach becomes stronger and when he can handle it. This formula was seriously my last resort and it worked!

Good HA formula however supply issues very frustrating – My daughter has been on this formula for about three months, first mixed fed and now solely formula fed. We chose this HA formula because of a history of milk intolerance in the family. It has worked well for her however due to the constant supply issues I cannot recommend putting your baby on it. Over the weekend I had to enquire at over 20… Read more

stores/pharmacies before I found one tin!!

I called Aptimal on Tuesday morning (closed on Monday due to the public holiday) and explained my difficulty finding the product. I was told it had run out of stock before Christmas and I can either order it online and pay $8 a tin extra postage or buy in bulk with free delivery. No apology, no empathy and I was left feeling very very disappointed and not valued as a customer at all.

If anyone should understand the effects of suddenly switching a baby to normal formula when they have only ever had HA it should be the trained Aptimal staff.

Unfortunately I feel like I'm going to need to research another suitable formula for my little one as I don't want to support a business that doesn't seem to support the small time consumer. Ordering in bulk at $150 a carton just to ensure I can get the product isn't financially always an option unfortunately.

Absolutely love this formula! – My baby started on aptimal ha straight from breastfeeding and it was great! It was recommended by my lactation consultant!! It was a worry after having a older child with milk protein intolerance! Quick and easy to prepare! Just a bit of a shame on availability of it! Show details

A good brand and easily accessible – Transitioning from breastfeeding my 1 year old, this was gentle on her tummy and easily digested. Being HA it’s better on them. I’ve never not been able to find or buy it. Always available at Coles and Woolworths or Priceline etc. nice smell and not really thick when made up. Mid range in price too.

Perfect for newborns to 1 year – I have had to mix feed my 3 month old due to attachment issues and this formula I have found to have the least side effects and seems to be digested easily and my baby is very happy on it in conjunction with breast milk. It’s very easy to prepare and my baby always has a big smile after each bottle.

Not 100% sure – My 4 week baby girl seems to enjoy drinking this formula but once she has finished she throws up every single time, I think it’s reflux but not sure, she also has a poo explosion everyday without a doubt. She is very red on her face (possible rash) not really sure if it’s from the formula. Personally I’m not enjoying the smell of the formula either. Any advice would be great :) Show details

This formula gave my son diarrhoea! – My son has had 4 poops (very runny and yellow) in one day since I started him in this formula. He’s drank Nan Comfort, Nan Optipro and Aptamil Pronutra without any problems but this has given him diarrhoea! Very upset because it’s much more expensive than the Nan range and I was hoping it’ll help my son with his regurgitation and reflux but it has ended up giving him diarrhoea instead! Will not recommend. Show details

Ok – The formula was ok my son didn’t seem to enjoy drinking it. Only a few mls and he had enough. The formula also left red spots on his face around his mouth. I didn’t buy this formula any more. Having said that however my elder son had this formula when he was young and it was fine.

Been a Great formula for those with sensitive stomach – After trying many formulas with our daughter having different reactions to others! Aptamil Ha has been the most suited for our lil one! She suffered reflux and would vomit or get constipated on others! But the HA moves her bowels everyday or every second day (soft poos) and less (if any) vomits and reflux... just wondering though since the product… Read more ·  1

was improved if it could be giving her a skin rash? Small red dots over her chin, neck and chest...and also quite red in the face???

Great product – My 2 daughters had used this product. They love Aptamil Gold + HA as it taste similar to my breast milk. My daughters were bottle feed and breast feed at the same time. They had no issue with the formula when I first introduce it to them. They both are growing very healthy Show details

Didn't agree with my baby – Super easy to prepare. I did notice it had a strange smell in comparisons to other formula I had used and also made my baby's breath smell bad. My baby appeared to enjoy it at first until he started to refuse to drink it and I noticed a red rash appear on his face which gradually spread onto his neck and chest. I stopped using immediately and… Read more

changed to another formula. I am not 100% sure what caused the rash but it subsided a few days after I changed from this formula.

Worked for us! – We tried our bub on 7 different formulas until finally trying this one. She was terribly constipated on everything we tried including the novalac constipation formula. She was always wriggling around in pain after feeds and seemed to be getting worse. Since having her on Aptimal HA she’s doing soft poos, more contented overall and sleeping better. Very relieved.

Wasn't for us – I had great hopes for this formula, but unfortunately it wasn't for us. Our baby started refusing it after half of the tin, as I believe it was worsening his reflux due to it being so thin. It mixed well and didn't foam up which I was very pleased about and bub was very regular on it. Such a shame because I've read it is fabulous for other babies. Worth a try, just not the miracle formula I was hoping for.

Saved my son! – Couldn’t be more thankful for this formula, I had my son on 3 other ones and all made him constipated and sick, until I got him on this one (because it has low iron), and now I haven’t had a problem since, it’s not upsetting him whatsoever and it’s well worth the price

Great peace of mind – This was the third formula I've tried and I'm happy that I found something that agrees with my bub. Aptamil HA dissolves easy in water & doesn't clot or foam. Bub no longer struggles with constipation & I can rest easy knowing he is getting all the nutrition he needs. Highly recommended.

good powder but hard to find – We tried a few formulas and my baby liked this powder the most but it is so hard to find that we eventually had to give up on it and opt for formulas that are a bit easier to locate. if the supplies can meet the demands then this would be the one to get

Value-for-money – The powder is smooth, dry and never stick together. It dissolves very easily in water and leaves not clot. It tastes sweeter but less milky than A2 and my cousin loves this brand most. The package is user-friendly too, with the scraper on the can. It is really value-for-money and my cousin is sticking to this brand. Highly recommended.

Love this formula – Third formula I tried for my baby and the only one that hasn't given her horrible gas, reflux, or constipation. It also keeps her full for much longer than the others I tried, with both other formulas she was demanding to be fed again after only an hour or so, with Aptamil she drinks the 5 bottles recommended per day and goes at least 3 hours… Read more

Good but hard to find – This formula is good & easy to make. My baby loved it. It was easy on his stomach. Unfortunately it is hard to find in stores. It's almost always out of stock so I had to switch to a different brand. If it wasn't for that I'd still be buying this product.  Show reply

Best formula on the market – Great formula used it for both my babies and one was premature with reflux. Easy to prepare. Best formula on the market no wonder its used in all the maternity wards. Only issue is its hard to find and more expensive than other brands but I wouldn’t use anything else.

Fantastic!!! – This was the 3rd formula my baby tried as he was continously vomiting and had terrible reflux with other brands! This formula hands down is the best!!! No more reflux!! I highly recommend this formula for any bubs that struggle with reflux, vomiting or allergies with other formulas. Thankyou HA

Great for little tummies – My baby was sensitive to both my milk and my S26 gold formula. So after speaking with the pharmacist we decided to try this formula. For once my baby was not constipated, or hungry, or crying in pain. It filled her belly without the pain and upset she had experienced with other milk. I also found the Aptamil HA AR formula to be just as good at the plain HA version.

Best formula ever! – This formula is amazing! Easy to prepare and my son absolutely loves it! So first of all i was breast feeding up till 2 months then i started uni and i was breastfeeding and formula feeding so i started with S-26 gold and my son hated it he was sooky with it he vomited a lot with it and then i tried NAN optipro ha gold and he had the same problems… Read more

and then i was like i might try something thicker so i got the Aptamil AR gold and he was really good with that and then i wanted to go back to something normal so i tried the Aptamil ha gold and hes really happy with it! I love it!

Not perfect but good overall – I have been using this formula for about 5 weeks now changing from S26 Gold Comfort. I find this formula is easy to dissolve and it is useful that it is made with 30mls of water per scoop. It allows for more variation in the amount of formula I make up per bottle. Other brands usually are made with 50mls or 60mls per scoop. My baby seems to be… Read more

tolerating this formula well. It has a nice smell and looks more like milk. He has not had any constipation on this formula compared to when we were using S26 Gold. However, I have noticed that his gas and poops have become a lot more unpleasant smelling. The availability of this formula has been good as well. I have been able to purchase it from Woolworths Online and my local Chemist Warehouse.

Good brand, hard to find – My child has used this brand of formula since the hospital. I have continued with it as my child had no problems drinking this formula. The only thing is being able to find this product anywhere in shops. When I do, I normally stock up S much as I can.

Great Products, Lacking Stock – This formula is easy to prepare and it is well-liked by the baby. To date, I haven't noticed any side effects of the formula yet but the main issue with the formula is that it is hard to find in many supermarkets as they tend to be sold out or out of stock.

Really fantastic formula for my daughter – We really love the Aptamil range of formulas and have used them for both our children. this so I moved her on to the HA. Instantly she settled well onto this formula and we have been very happy with it since.

It made me comfortable to know that there were other products in the range including the Allerpro which ended up being the only formula my son could drink. I also called the hotline on a number of occaisons and felt that they provided good, clear advice on preparation etc.

Good Formula but Large Volume per feed – I introduced this formula to my exclusively breastfed baby at 6 months of age. not a bad thing of your baby likes to drink a lot. However my baby usually doesn't drink that much as she is easily distracted. Overall i am happy with this formula and would recommend.

Excellent – Our 11 week has been on Aptimal since 2 weeks. The first couple of days on the formula, he had a bit of gas , but after that he has had no problems. Like all formulas though , his poos are really smelly. We did try other formulas but this one seems to work for our boy :-). Only thing, I wish Coles stocked it too!!!

Perfect for sensitive tummies – I have a milk allergy and when my twins weren't born we had them on APtamil Gold + as my son did really well on it.
