push lightly into the 4 plastic recessed tounges and use the screwdriver to ease the cover off. Then you end up with the circuit board , use the small screwdriver to push the battery our from uner it's metal sandwich, Order a new CR 1225 3 volt battery , I bought 4 on e-bay for around $4. Poor service – Interesting to note negative reviews below. I was happy with my previous model, but have had trouble removing the filter from my current model which as noted below was > $250. Amazing product and service – Had a filter installed from Aquaport 4 years ago. After 4 years of functioning without a hitch it started to leak. Got electrocuted!!!! DO NOT BUY – My electrician & the Dr in ER said my husband is lucky we just built a new home & have safety switches otherwise he wouldn't have survived! Way too expensive for what you get – Tried two of these units from Good Guys. In the first one, the ambient tap leaked badly so took it back. In the second one, it was so noisy I had to close all the doors to that room so I could hear the TV so took that one back also. Good Guys were really accommodating and gave us a refund. Waste of money – Bought the unit today and set up per the instructions. Noticed the filtered water chamber does not fit flush with the cooler unit when pushed down. Re checked "o" ring seating, all good there. Screwed on the filter bottle screw nut and the water chamber still does not fit flush with the cooler housing as per the instructions.
