We absolutely love our new dryer – We purchased the 9 star energy efficient, 10kg dryer and we love it! Since purchasing it about two weeks ago we have put everything through it from cat rugs through to bedding and clothing. The amount of lint that comes out of the lint catchers (there are two!) is amazing - and it’s easy to clear, clean and understand how to use. Being a… Read more · 1
condenser heat pump dryer (this is a thing!) it doesn’t blow out lint all over the laundry and heat up the room which is awesome.
Also, the loads generally take less time than it originally states as it works out if clothes are drying quicker than predicted. Oh, and it has a light inside so you can see better!
As we intend on keeping this for around 15yrs or more we couldn’t go past a 9 star energy efficiency - especially since it has 10kg capacity and a 10 year manufacturers warranty. Love it!
Terrible product and company to deal with – I have had this dryer for 18 months. It spent the first winter being fixed for 6 weeks because the motor had somehow come loose?! I'm now in my second winter, it fell apart 8 weeks ago and ASKO still haven't made a phone call or replied to the service agent about fixing or replacing it. I have called ASKO directly 4 times to resolve the matter,… Read more
to be told a senior person would call me back. No reply. This dryer cost me $2899 and is still under original warranty (it hasn't reached the extended warranty I purchased extra!). Please don't buy this product, it is terrible, and the service is even worse. It has been noisy and broken from the second it came out of the box. It takes forever to dry clothes, everything comes out terribly creased, the sheets get so tangled you nearly need to cut them. My old $1100 dryer was faultless for 5 years, I wish I hadn't sold it with my old house.
A lemon?? – Bought a new ASKO heat pump dryer in April 22 after being told it would be a 6 month wait to get a new drum for my Miele dryer. I have had lots of issues with my Miele washing machine and so decided to buy an ASKO. I had an ASKO washing machine in the past which ran faultlessly for 24 years but this dryer has now stopped working within a year.… Read more
Having spent 3 months overseas since buying it it's not had heavy use. The service man tells me it needs a new motor, even though it would run, but just not consistently start. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. When you spend in excess of 2,500 for a dryer the first thing I expect is reliability! I am so fed up spending large amounts of money for supposdly quality appliances which fail and then you face a battle to get them repaired or replaced. I have always thought it best to buy the best you can afford for the "workhorse" appliances but it seems that no longer works.
Buy something else if you want to dry clothes – If you love ironing this is the clothes dryer for you. There is no dryer setting that dries my shirts and trousers that doesn’t need ironing afterwards. I’m not talking about perfection, I’m not talking about dress shirts. I am talking about my 50% cotton 50% synthetic work shirts and work pants to a standard that my 20 year old Simpson dryer had… Read more
no problem achieving with no auto programs. I don’t want readers to think this is user error, having spent this much money I went through the instructions and tried every program and progressively reducing the load to 2 shirts only in a 10kg rated dryer looking for any approach that would be just good enough. Nope, this is a very expensive paperweight. I note this “product review” website doesn’t let you provide a rating for performance, my rating for performance would be zero stars.
don't be fooled-not worth the money – We purchase our 10 Kilo Asko dryer and had it replaced as a DOA- wasn't drying the clothes. 15 months ago we had the belt replaced as it snapped. Now the pulley is broken and needs replacing. Asko says its out of warranty now and they don't do warranty on parts that have been replaced and further more they have no service rep for my area anymore.… Read more
I would have expected a $2500+ machine to have not this much trouble, or at least have some decent backup from the company as they claim to be of the best quality and supposed to last and tested for a 20 years worth of hours, it did not always dry the clothes very well by the way.
Dryer broke twice in two years – I regret spending $2600 on a dryer that has broken once under warranty and once under extended warranty. It has now been almost two months sitting broken waiting to be fixed under extended warranty with neither asko or the extended warranty company are fixing the dryer and making excuses. Most other places would have given a new dryer by now but… Read more
not asko. I am a carer of four kids and use the dryer daily. I am disgusted in their customer service and their unwilling to resolve this in a timely manner.
Love this dryer my electricity bill has gone down heaps – Wow I dont know why I didn't buy this dryer earlier I put all of our wet clothes in the dryer so far hasn't shrunk a thing yet. It's easy to maintain takes no more then 5 minutes to clean the heat pump easy to put back together I've got the T408HD which is the 8 kg but it fits everything from the 10kg asko washer with room to spare.
