Have a 4086C and after 4.5 years the Fabric Softener Dispenser started only dispensing intermittent. Tried various programs for a while to see what conditions made it work or not. In the end contacted Asko who informed me it was out of Warranty a month prior. All be it the warranty is for 60 months without fault and I was lucky to get 55 months… Read more

without fault, they said out of warranty and didn't care, what was worse than it being out of warranty now (Not when the fault happened) is the lack of assistance or empathy. Told to phone a local repairer or fix it myself. Service department has ghosted me and refuses to answer emails. For an alleged High End Washing Machine, the service and care from Asko couldn't be more bottom end. It is a $2000 Washing Machine, I was expecting better from the product and much better from the service and help line. Last Contact with Asko was them saying sorry it was only a 2 year warranty not 5 year as first advised. Still no offer to help fix or suggestions what could be wrong, just reiteration to get an external service company in to look at it. In the end I gambled with replacing the water inlet valve unit myself, suspecting a solenoid valve issue as per Dr Google and it fixed it.

⭐ 1 STAR – TOTAL RIP-OFF Paid $1,899 for an ASKO front-loader and it’s failing after just 3½ years, making loud grinding noises. ASKO’s response? “Not our problem.” They want $99 call-out, $45 per 15 minutes, plus parts and if it’s not fixed, more money to strip it at a service centre. Nearly $2,000 for a machine that can’t last 4 years. That’s… Read more

not premium that’s a scam. My old Fisher & Paykel lasted 12+ years and cost a fraction. DO NOT BUY ASKO. Overpriced junk with zero support.

Purchased 24 November 2025 from Winning Appliances. Still waiting for delivery in February 2026. Asko has messed up delivery 6 times now, including today. So sick of rearranging our days and missing work for these muppets. They just don't care. Terrible customer service. Don't buy Asko! Never again Show details

This review is a bit of a mixed bag. I absolutely loved my new machine when it first arrived. It washed well, spun the clothes well, almost dry, and the various functions did what they said. The star ratings good and water efficiency high. I was raving about it. However, once a fault arose, it went downhill very quickly. The fault was a… Read more

metallic ticking noise on the spin cycle, which intensified the higher the machine spun. The service agent suggested a new door seal to rectify the fault, in the first instance. I was skeptical of this, however took their knowledge of the product, having come directly from Asko (not an Agent) as the right step. This made the fault worse.

I had to wait three weeks for the part to arrive and be fitted, in the first instance, so it has been a long drawn out issue.

As to the time it has taken to resolve the full issue. I raised a service call on the 16th February 2025, and it was finally resolved with a refund (excluding delivery) of the full purchase price on 30th April 2025.

I would have been happy with a replacement machine after the first service agent visit. However, after the door seal was replaced, I no longer wanted an Asko product.

It took three service visits, plus the collection of the machine on a different day to keep this moving. Luckily I have a flexible working arrangement, as the Service Agent was only available in my area on a Friday. My frustrations compounded by the fact that their arrival time was only confirmed late or after business hours on the Thursday before.

Through this whole process I have had to follow up with additional calls direct with Asko at each step of the process. Not once, have they been proactive. Yes, I was extra frustrated on one of the calls, but the annoyance factor and absolute lack of compassion or care got to me. I also needed to engage the selling agent to assist, as I was getting nowhere with Asko, on my own.

But the icing on the cake was the text message I got the day before the faulty machine was picked up, confirming the Delivery of my New Asko product. Good to see the AI machine is working in their dispatch system.

So, not only was the product not up to standard, the after sales has been extremely poor too. I sadly therefore can't recommend this product.

You couldnt' give this a worse rating – Just bought via Winning Appliances who then passed the sale onto Asko. I can't say how bad this has been ... the machine runs at 85 decibels so sounds like a 747 is landing on the roof. It doesn't wash things well unless about 0.5 kg of laundry in there - and this is an 8kg machine. Such long washing cycles too compared to my old Beko, and still… Read more

things aren't clean. Now the door won't close. Oh - and the Asko delivery guys dumped my old dryer over the road when they were paid to take it away. Dealing with customer service has been so frustrating and no-one knows what’s going on.

Appalling! Don’t do it!!! – If I could rate with negative stars I would. DO NOT INVEST in ASKO!!! Asko, I am writing to you to express my dissatisfaction with one of your products that we recently purchased. We were steered by a salesman away from what we originally wanted to purchase, to purchase an asko as he said in his words, “their products never fail”. We told the… Read more

salesman our previous washing machine lasted us over 5 years used heavily on a daily basis serving a family of 5, for around $1000 cheaper than the asko unit. He assured us the quality difference between the two was comparing a Rolls Royce to a Volkswagen Beetle.

We took his advice and not only trusted in this product, but bought the high end version of both the washing machine and dryer for almost $6000.

We took delivery of the machines approximately 7-10 days after we had ordered them.

The machines arrived in a new and satisfactory condition, all wrapped in plastic and sat in our garage as we left for our holiday for a few weeks.

Shortly after returning we had the washer and dryer installed and were excited to use our new products.

The first wash all seemed to go well.

The second wash a small leak occurred which we dismissed as we weren’t sure whether one of the kids had spilt something nearby and hadn’t mentioned it.

The third wash the units door would not close.

We got in touch with Asko and were put through to a third party repair/maintenance company.

The repairman came out and removed an “O” ring which was around the inside face of the door as directed by the asko technician via a phone call. First of all we weren’t happy at all that such an expensive machine required an item to be removed in order for it to function. However nonetheless we were reassured once again by the repairman that they are a great machine and barely if ever fail.

The door closed without a problem and the machine functioned for the first few washes without a fault.

Then shortly after the machine flooded out laundry. We’d get one wash that worked then 2 that would leak and so on.

I rang the technician and was told ring asko. I rang asko and was told a second repair would have to be carried out. I strongly expressed my disappointment and discomfort in having the machine have a second repair carried out again considering it is brand new. I said I wanted a replacement machine or a refund as this is a joke for such a high end machine that practically was handed to us dead on arrival.

He told me it is protocol to have 2 repairs to be carried out before you are entitled to a replacement or refund.

The technician came out, he fitted the O ring and the door would not close, he removed the O ring and the machine leaked.

I rang asko and said enough is enough and we want the machine replaced or a refund. I was told that a new door will have to be fitted, I again expressed to him that this is not right and we did not spend almost $3000 on a washing machine to have a replacement door fitted and the hinge shaved in order for it to close and operate.

We received a poor quality product from the day it was delivered. We allowed 2 repairs to be carried out and still have no machine to wash our clothes. We have been forced to use the local laundromat.

We expect a certain basic level of quality and service from both your company and your product, a brand new high end product, dead on arrival is been treated as a second hand 3 year old unit been covered by warranty.

The mental and physical stress this has caused us from not having a functioning machine, having to take our clothes to a laundromat and take time away from our jobs for a technician to attend to the machine has been taking a toll on us both.

Numerous calls and emails a refund was approved. A pick up date arranged only for a no show.. numerous calls and emails again only to be told they don’t service my area and that I will need to wait up to 3 weeks or take the machine myself back to goodguys. Took it back to goodguys now we’re still in the process of chasing our refund! Absolutely disgusting!! The service call line can not transfer you to any department it’s only email to which they don’t respond too!

Save your self the stress and don’t buy an asko!!

Don’t buy ASKO - not worth the high cost – Purchased in 2017 ….2024 rattling around on high spin and had it diagnosed that the Shock absorbers are gone. Happy after 18 months – I'm surprised by some of the reviews, after 18 months I've been happy with no issues. We bought this washer alongside the matching dryer, we've never had a matching washer and dryer but our dryer was starting to give out and our washer wasn't far off. When we purchased these we had a European laundry in a small, open-plan townhouse. We were… Read more

looking for heat pump dryer, so we chose the dryer before washer. Since we bought this machine, we have moved house. One benefit of this machine has been the use of cold water rather than hot. Our new house has an older hot water system with 125LT which can be a stretch at night with washing up and 3 showers - so I'm glad this doesn't put extra pressure on hot water system! I also love the rubberless door...it's a little tougher to open than my last machine but worth it as we have no issues with mould and doesn't require regular cleaning like our last machine.

Energy efficiency was important to us and the Asko washer and dryer had a great rating, particularly the dryer with heat pump. Given we had euro laundry that was part of our kitchen, it was also important to me that this looked good and was streamlined - the digital screens definitely help reduce visual clutter and I think the set looks great together.

The selection of cycles are easy to use, my husband called the cycles logical or intuitive - we typically use the quick or normal cycle but there's a good range for deeper cleaning, bedding, delicates etc. The capacity suits us as a family of 3, it's small enough that we can do regular loads but has enough capacity for when we want more heavy duty washing including our king doona cover.

While it is on the pricier side, my husband's mate is in the business of repairs / services and said the brand was generally well made and he didn't see many issues. This was a useful recommendation and helped us justify the cost. I did get these while they had a promotion on so saved a fair bit off RRP. Overall i'm really happy with performance over past 18 months, it's a quality machine, easy to use and looks great.

Terrible experience! 4 years of nightmare – We are super disappointed with asko washing machine we bought, and their customer support! We have purchased an asko machine 4 years ago, at the asko… Read more

website it was represented as no vibration washing machine ( now re-worded into low vibration), same was said by the sales representative, however it was shaking at 800 like crazy since day one. We were never able to try a higher speed. The front door opens directly into the edge of the door frame, scratched on both sides, front door is leaking time to time... Four years we couldn't get any proper support from asko, all calls were met by unfriendly customer service reps, and transferred to same technician every time, which was blaming everyone and everything around but not the machine itself and wanted to charge us for a call out every time, even though it is covered by the extended warranty. Four years later, and we have given up trying to fix it personally. We went and complained to the good guys store where we purchased it from originally, and said that they should stop highly recommending asko to their clients (By this time, shaking mashing had caused cracking in the plaster walls of our laundry). After the good guys manager's followed up with asko, we have got an offer of half price refund or machine repair. What about the damages to our property, what about 4 years of frustration and stress?? Repairs would work 4 years ago, when we originally asked for it. Regarding a half price refund - i believe the refund for faulty product should be full and straight away if you are not able to repair or replace it!

However, we couldn't get this sorted with asko till now, and we are going to get calculations of all the damage done, including the total cost we paid for the product, warranty and delivery, and lodging this case with ACCC. For all of you who are considering purchasing asko products - save yourself from lot's of stress and go ahead with another brand.

Follow-up  · We went ahead with a different brand. Happy so far. Will never buy asko again and do not recommend to anyone

Follow-up  · By the way, at the time we started the process through the ACCC regarding ASKO and the faulty machine, we were also preparing to take the matter to VCAT if it was not resolved. ASKO kept dismissing the issue and suggesting there was something wrong… Read more

Service and delivery was very streamline and hassle free with the delivery guys cleaning my laundry before they left. The only thing l can fault is that the spin cycle (2-3 mins at the end) is loud.

(Of course that would be too sensible ) I also commented to them that they require payment before their product leaves their building well I have the same policy but they would not agree to that, all I needed was confirmation via one of their service people that the door opening was faulty or normal they still can't tell me that but since then I have found out, and we have two Asko washed machines and one heat pump dryer we have been Asko people for as long than l can remember more than 25 twenty five years I have always recommended to my clients to install this brand because of their backup service and long jeopardy I was a master plumber in my past life so I know what I'm talking about regarding services their product is getting cheaper but not in dollar terms and their service department is appalled we are still waiting for a reply from the service department but I think they're just hoping that we'll go away

After several attempts they finally understand that I just need someone to come and put it back on. This unsettled me so I called Asko for clarification but the guy was rude and just kept repeating the same T&C’s to me which didn’t answer any of my worries. So I said I wanted to return it for refund under its warranty and to be directed to that department, which he told me he can’t do, I just need to send an email. Which does not sound right at all. He kept talking over the top of me and not letting me explain and when I told him off for it, he hung up on me. Im still in the same situation of not being able to put the rubber seal back on and not knowing if they’ll cover it under warranty or try to put the blame on me and bill me the service call out fee of $90 plus $40/15 mins. For a VERY expensive washing machine it’s a waste of money! I wouldn’t ever waste my money on Asko. Who said thete was an updated modification for the door but would have to order another one. Rang Asko and said we wanted a new machine as we didn't trust the fix would help. New machine was delivered, had to convince delivery guys to install for us as the we had paid for installation of the original so seemed only right. This one lasted about six weeks before it also started leaking from the door. Another wait for the service agent who when came said that there was another new fix for the door. Decided to give them one try to fix. New fix makes the door sit visibly not straight in the front of the machine and you guessed it, started leaking after a couple of weeks. This time have asked Asko to refund, which they agreed to without arguing but service agent has to confirm fault. Requested new service agent. Was told they would contact us within 48 hours to organise time, have been waiting two weeks. We actually really like the machine but the constant leaking and hassles with repair mean we will never be buying another Asko product.

Every few months we've had leaky seals that needed to be fixed, the whole door had to be replaced and now at a year and half after the most recent whole machine replacement, the whole machine almost blew up and started a fire in our apartment. Something in the drum broke and it was suddenly off balance and creating immense friction. When I heard the bang and scraping sound, I ran over and shut the machine down. There was smoke pouring out of the drum. Thank god I was home when this happened. It is not under warranty anymore, so I will not be getting anything from this company ever again.

I would strongly not recommend this product to anyone. I think the reviews on their website and other stores trying to sell this to you are either fake or gotten from people in the first few months of ownership. This product does not stand up to normal family use over time. (We are a family of three and probably run 5-6 loads a week of normal clothes, towels & sheets).

Brand new and unusable – It was connected for the first time and water everywhere, I rang customer service who logged a ticket with service agent - two weeks to wait. What a joke, I replaced a 7 year old asko due to issues with that one, wish I hadn’t! What a piece of junk. Show details

Never ever buy an Asko – Second machine I’ve had due to Asko replacing after years of issues. Have had new machine for 7 months and it has lost all power. Asko customer service is hopeless, they will not assist. Waiting ten days for a technician due to Xmas. And then told if it was unrepairable it would be up to 3 weeks for refund to be approved. I asked if I could pay… Read more

for my own tech & be reimbursed- answer no. I asked to be reimbursed for laundry mat - answer only with receipt! When I asked what laundry mat has receipts - the manager said they do in Victoria.. I’m in QLD. The Manager was so rude, told me for all he knew I didn’t plug it in correctly. Do not ever buy an Asko, absolute rip off. Dud machines, so expensive & no after sales service at all. Asko Management rude, condescending & aggressive
