paying for the past three months, wondering why no credits were appearing in my account, only to discover they’d fundamentally changed the service. This feels like a deliberate downgrade in value for subscribers.

What was once a great app has become a money-grab. Long-term customers are paying the same while receiving significantly less, and the changes haven’t been communicated clearly enough.

I suggest the contact staff be trained to listen to the customer instead of making the assumption a number of times that I had made the mistake. I persisted for the benefit of Audible, but no apology or acknowledgement until I demanded one.

I acknowledge that Audible allowed me to return the faulty audiobook.

Beware of choosing the first listed choice for the sequel as it might inexplicably be in German and not the expected language of your country. Very frustrating indeed since there's no way I can find to rectify.

they can never fulfill. I had to go over and over again with the same issue, and every time they are over-positively running me in circles without solving the issue. I paid for audiobook(s) about three years ago and I wasn't using amazon or audible for few years. When I tried to access audiobooks I purchased, amazon blocked my account due to duplicated accounts. I have no problem with that and glad to remove one account to keep only one that works. I did everything they asked me to do and it seems the customer service take a great pleasure running me in circles with no final solution to the problem. I have no faith anymore in any of Amazon or Audible services. It is the automated system that decides either you are going to be their customer or not, and it is not for the customer service to decide. I feel I was left completely lied to with no respect to my time or money. They showed me how they can take my money for the service and block access to it anytime they want. Screenshots shows the last interaction with Audible customer service that stated they will reach me out within 48 hours with the solution, so I can access my audiobook(s). It was 8 days ago and still no answer.

Worst customer service ever – I have been trying to pause my account for two months . No one replies untill you cancel you account then they send a robotic email to say sorry you are leaving . They've blocked my account (stole it) – They blocked my account for no reason. They require documents from the bank that this is really my bank card. All possible statements and documents were provided, but they are still not enough. They just stole my account and all the purchased books on it. Thank you. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE AT ALL UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED.

Customer service..there is none! – I cancelled my subscription 3 months ago, I am still getting charged $16.45/month. I have tried to contact them with no result. Arranged for a call back got nothing, tried the live chat.... nothing. If you are looking to subscribe to this company think twice and read the reviews. Poor poor poor.

it very difficult to access much in the ‘plus catalogue’…..I have found it hard to access and has very limited items…and ends up including books I have to pay for……sooooo disappointing and has never been the case in the past…

 Follow-up  · Found a simple solution to the problem I was having accessing the ‘plus catalogue’……the app had changed a little and I now had to type plus catalogue into the search bar…..and wallah…..everything was back the way it was….back to loving my Audible

am buying. Audible explained that the copyright expired, and I would need to purchase them again.

The strange thing is that more than half of the deleted titles were the ones I listen to all the time. Audible keeps statistics on how often you listen to what books. It appears that the most listened to are scheduled for deletion.

So unfair and criminal to rob customers with unfair business practices. Don't start with Audible.

I appear to be locked in now with so many titles and quite a large investment of money I spend on these audiobooks. If I cancel, I am losing my whole collection/investment.

So, don't start!!!!!

 Follow-up  · I still don't keep track of all my audiobooks with Audible - that's a part-time job itself. There might be more disappearing since I wrote my review. If you cancel, you lose access to any of the purchased audiobooks. And yes, I have a yearly subscription on which I am buying one audiobook per month. I have had a great experience with Audible. As a person who reads alot of books and is used to a physical copy I have gotten quite used to listening while I am doing a workout. The voice reading isn't using the same tones I would use and a little more automatic but works well when cooking or doing a workout.

they couldn’t give me that persons name, not even their first name. So they are allowing someone else to purchase their products with my card without my permission. I then had to go through my bank to cancel my card. They also said that a senior member of their team would call me back as I wanted the situation escalated and no one ever returned my call. This company has no ethics. Don’t trust them with your personal or financial information, I got of lightly because the account my card is linked to I only put in small amounts to use online. If I had more money in there it may all be gone. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

raise a dispute with my bank to get a refund and stop further direct debits which I did. Ridiculous, negligent, fraudulent and an utter waste of my time and my banks resources.

If you have multiple unused credits that have been paid for these disappear if you cancel your membership. Yes it’s clear in the T&Cs in reflection but why do they cancel?? Why would something I paid for disappear. Use Spotify instead. Much more customer friendly

four digits of the card used and confirmed there were no charges on their system. They then asked for details of my other cards to “check further”. I refused to provide them, since it seemed unnecessary and unsafe. As of now, the charge remains unexplained, and I am disputing it through my bank. This experience has been frustrating especially so close to Christmas. I share this so others can monitor their accounts closely and verify any unexpected charges. Very dodgy practices!

Disgusting service when something goes wrong. Impossible to find how to suspend my account. Paying for nothing and no way to stop it. If you phone the person on the phone gives you absolutely NO assistance and constantly says to use the app, but it’s not working.

Hard to navigate. I can not update my plan from standard to any other option. Also if you are on a standard plan your monthly point, if you do not use it you lose it. It does not roll over. And they are unable to credit you any lost points. Very disappointing

Terrible, horribly designed app and website! I bought audiobooks with accompanying pdfs and the app does not allow new to find or view pdfs. Neither does the mobile version of the website! Eventually found a solution via a desktop version on one browser, but its ridiculous that i can't access content i paid for in the app! Their customer support and help pages were worse that useless... thank goodness for random redditors!

I rate this the lowest of lows! Purchased ebooks on Facebook that go through Audible but now I have to pay for a membership and pay for the books again. That definitely isn't going to happen. SCAM!!!

.com.au it switched me back to Australian Audible. I think it is designed to do this so they can keep taking the monthly fee. Absolute scam. Amozon didnt get to be the size they are by doing the right thing.

had 11 credits of the 12 they sold to me with the subscription. Now they want to change my subscription to a monthly plan to give me the pause, but to do that, they charged me extra. I specifically told them not to charge my card and they did it anyway. So I had to get onto them again and spend time on the phone asking them to cancel the charge and cancel my account. I don't want to do business with a company that takes back the credits you paid for, if you don't want to continue. It's just not fair. I'm not going to continue with Audible. There are better alternatives. You can see by the other reviews that they have a terrible subscription service.
