did not face any sort of damage to the feet/unit at all, the drivers literally put pillows under my TV to balance it as they did not have any sort of tools with them to tighten the screws that were knocked loose and the drivers also placing my clearly written box of “dishes/glassware” on its side rather than upright, thank goodness I had wrapped these dishes in paper but this just goes to show how careless their removalists are. Upon loading the TV into the truck the drivers asked if we were able to take the TV in our car as they claimed the screen was “thin” what??? If I could’ve taken a 75” TV in my car I wouldn’t have needed to hire removalist! I have only ever lived in rentals so I am familiar with furniture removalists and moving in general, never have I been asked if I could transport my own TV because the screen was “thin” Delivery drivers deny any sort of damage to the fridge as there are no dented walls etc which is true and claim the fridge was covered in a blanket, also true, however, fridge is only three months old, there was never a dent prior to it being touched by them. We were there during the delivery of our new fridge from appliances online and thoroughly inspected the entire fridge (as you do with a new purchase) and can confirm there was no dents. Given that the screws in the stand of my TV were able to be knocked loose causing the TV to be unbalanced and needing something under it to make it secure/balanced I believe they were either loading, unloading or handling my furniture in a rough manner or furniture wasn’t secured properly in the truck. I just do not understand how the screws in the feet were able to be knocked loose when the TV was loaded into the truck completely fine but when it was unloaded there was an issue. Payment, asked the drivers about the dents in the back of the fridge (note, fridge was bought into the kitchen, delivery driver took a photo of the dent before slotting the fridge into place) when asked about the photo he had taken of the dents, he denied he took a photo even though we were standing right there and watched him take it (reason unknown) they were very quick to deny any damage, one driver stating he had been a removalist for five months and the other a few years and kept on stating the fridge was covered in a blanket during transport so they are confident the damage did not come from them - they also deny the screws in the feet being knocked loose during transport/unloading was from them even though the TV was completely fine when loading at the old property. Smug attitude from one of the drivers stating nothing is actually broken and that these are little fixes and that I was making a huge deal over $300 (total payable to drivers) which I felt was completely disgusting and totally uncalled for, not to mention that very same driver laughing during this altercation. This very same driver stated “this is why we told you to take the TV” like excuse me?? You asked if I could take the TV as you both stated the screen was “thin” so it’s now my fault the screws in the feet have become loose during transport??? As we are passing the other drivers phone back and forth between myself and him to communicate with the person I made the booking through via call to try and deescalate the situation, he actually snatches the phone from out of my hands when I was handing his phone back to him in an aggressive manner and was telling me to hurry up with payment. Absolutely shocking and disgusting service, I do not recommend this company at all to anyone, I found this company through an ad on facebook and decided to book as their pricing was relatively cheap, but it seems you really do get what you pay for. Pay the extra $ so your furniture can arrive as it left, you’ll probably receive better customer service and professional removalists who actually know what they are doing. Nothing Aussie about this company.

Add on - went over to the old property as we have hard rubbish to put out next week and some cleaning left to do and found the coffee cup they were drinking out upon arrival just throw on the ground in our garage! DISGUSTING!!!

Thank You to the 2 gentlemen that moved us. They were polite and very careful with our items. The worked in a timely manner and provided a promte and positive service.

Moving experience was good but please be transparent on the advance money taken as driving gas fee because it's misleading when you call it a deposit and don't adjust in final bill.

We engaged this company for our move, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. For comparison, the exact same household items were moved by two different men during our previous move, and we never experienced anything like this.

What should have been a straightforward move took 11 hours. A significant amount of our belongings were also left behind, and there was considerable time spent talking to each other in their mother tongue rather than focusing on completing the job.

To make matters worse, our steps were damaged during the move. The company advised us that they have insurance, so I contacted them about having the damage repaired. They have now asked me to submit the details by email, which I have done. Let’s see whether they will actually take responsibility and arrange the repairs.

I will provide an update in the next few days once I see how they handle the situation.

Based on our experience so far, I strongly recommend doing your research before engaging a moving company. Moving heavy household furniture is part of the job, and you deserve professionals who are properly equipped, experienced, and accountable for the service they provide.

Please don’t fall into the same situation we did. Choose experienced professionals who are properly equipped and built to handle the job.

Very disappointed. Very slow workers 2 people to carry a bedside cabinets a joke. Using sellotape to keep doors closed on expensive furniture has now left a residue on the furniture that I'm struggling to get off because if I use a solvent it will remove the paint. items than planned. However, before those items were loaded, I specifically asked whether they had time to take them and was assured that they did.

There was swearing and inappropriate language used in my home in front of my eight-year-old child, furniture was handled carelessly, some items were left outside my property, and the move was so slow that I ended up helping unload items from the truck and moving them into my home myself.

What was most upsetting was how my complaint was handled afterwards. I was even asked why I paid if I was unhappy with the service. The answer is simple: by that stage it was around 7pm, I was alone with my child, and I wanted the movers out of my home so we could finally settle in for the evening.

Many of my concerns were dismissed or not properly addressed, and the only resolution offered was a $50 voucher towards a future move. Based on my experience, I would not recommend aus City Movers.
