This is Perfect!
Aurora QueenThis is a great mattress. I went to a showroom with no staff and tried around 9 mattresses. Selected one of them, and ordered online. After around one month I can’t see any problem or issues with physical shape (sagging) of the mattress. It looks like this new method of manufacturing is more durable than traditional spring system.

Best sleep in years!
Aurora QueenThe mattress is fantastic! The service from Ausbeds is excellent and the delivery is very quick. Martin was very thorough in setting up the mattress and walking us through the steps to adjust the firmness. I used to wake most mornings with a sore back, but the Aurora mattress has solved that problem. I wish I had bought it sooner. It's great to see that the Ausbeds mattresses can be unzipped and any internal parts can be replaced, which will increase the life of the mattress. Can't fault the quality of the Aurora or the service from Ausbeds.

Best Matress ever!
Aurora KingThis is the best company to buy a bed from! From the get go my husband and I were greeted by Karl who assisted us in picking the perfect bed. Our delivery driver, Martin, was awesome too. Everyone we have dealt with has been super friendly and helpful. My husband and I are loving our new mattress and looking to purchase another mattress from Ausbeds soon for our spare room!

Great quality service and beds. Sleeping like a dream
Aurora QueenFantastic service from Karl & Martin in store and delivery. We visited many times to make sure we were happy. More importantly the bed is top quality and sleep has been a dream. Very satisfied with our purchase. We chose these guys over the online only shops as we got to test it out, got loads of info, the changeable system and locally made for easy customer service.

Fantastic bed!
Aurora QueenI ordered Aurora Queen, firm and a matching base, and had them delivered to Melbourne. Delivery was smooth. I had to help the delivery man, who is a solo operator. But that was no problem for me.
I'm over 100kg. Karl advised me to go with firm springs rather than medium. Karl knows his stuff and took the time to answer all my questions via the website chat and then via email. My sleep is much improved. I wholeheartedly recommend Ausbeds!

Adjustability is the Key
Aurora QueenI have slept on a waterbed for 38 years, so when it was time to change to a more conventional type of bed, it had to be a good one.
I ordered the Aurora in the "Medium" (5,6 or7) firmness after discussing my options with Karl. I thought the 6 would suit me, even though Karl had suggested the 5 might be more appropriate. After giving the 6 a two weeks trial, I had to concede that Karl knows more about beds (and customers' needs) than I do!
I changed the bed to a 5 and it is now perfect.
I have just finished my fine tuning by trialing three d

It goes very well with the 50mm latex layer in the top of the Aurora bed. Martin, who delivered the bed, gave me good advice on how best to maintain the bed to get the best performance such as rotating the microsprings occasionally. Karl also gave me a good tip on selecting the best sheets (at least the fitted bottom sheet) with a stretch jersey knit which allows the mattress to flex and adjust to suit individual needs. While I do not have a long track record of sleeping on a mattress with innersprings, on the occasion of staying over at family or friends places ( who tend to spend big on beds) I would have to say that the Ausbeds Aurora is at the top of the list.Purchased in .

Consider buying an Aurora-range AusBed
Aurora QueenA few years ago we thought about getting a better mattress. We’d never found ours really comfortable. We went to one of those showroom places and felt very embarrassed as we tried out mattresses, lying next to each other, with salespeople looking on. The mattress we liked best was $6,000. But the trouble was it was very hard to be sure which we liked best (somehow the memory of how something feels fades very rapidly!). $6,000 was a lot of money!
After a couple of years overseas we came back to find our mattress (stored wrapped in plastic in our

Excellent product, awesome service!
Aurora QueenI've just moved over from New Zealand and wanted a quality bed since we spend 1/3 of all our time in bed.
I came across AusBeds online. The first thing I noticed was that Karl (the owner) is really passionate about answering questions about beds in general online and helps clear up misconceptions. You don't see big retailers doing this!
When I got to Sydney I visited the Marrickville factory shop and Karl showed me through the AusBeds product range. He advised me I should pick a bed based on what's most comfortable to me purely based on feel
... Read more. I was shown the layering system which allows you to fully customise the softness vs firmness of your mattress. Karl gave me the privacy to try out each bed without any pressure Karl also gave me advice about the materials used in each bed and how that relates back to comfort and also longevity. In the end I decided to get the Aurora. Karl helped me to place my order and arrange free delivery to me in Newtown. He also threw in a free mattress protector at no extra charge :)Purchased in at Ausbeds for $2,930.

Great Product
Aurora QueenI live in Melbourne and took a Punt on buying the Aurora from Sydney without even seeing it or trying it. I loved the idea of being able to adjust it yourself.
I called first to get a better idea of what I was buying and Karl was great at explaining everything about the bed, he is very passionate about what he has created .. No Comparison to most bed sellers, who don’t even know what’s inside what they sell.
It was a great decision, l love the mattress and l have never slept so well.

Questions & Answers
Is this mattress suitable for an adjustable bed base?
Yes, However there are some things to know in order to optimize further.
1. For people that only want to tilt the mattress to 20 degrees, (not very much) no modifications would be necassary. You can just buy one and it will work.
2. For people that want to tilt it more the 20 degrees, I would take out the border wire. This would add extreme flexibilty to the mattress and you could bend it 90 degreees if you wanted to.
When you take out the border wire the edges will also be softer, so I usually tell people to only take it out if necessary, karl, owner at ausbeds
Is there any sagging when you sit on the edge of the bed? Thanks
Hiya! Short answer, no
Long answer
It depends on what your last mattress was. If you had a mattress in a box this mattress's side support will be far superior due to the border wire running around the top and bottom of the perimeter of the pocket springs.
If you had a mattress from a retailer it probably had a foam wall around it which can be a firmer edge than what I have in the Aurora. Edge support like everything in a mattress is about balance. If you have too much edge support the mattress will become uncomfortable close to the edge. If you don't have enough, you feel like you're gonna roll out of the mattress.
It is for this reason I have built my mattresses so that when you lay on the edge of the mattress you won't roll out, but also you won't feel a hard edge. It feels even all the way to the edge.
Before this edge support, I was using something much firmer, which was better for sitting, however, laying closer to the edge you felt like you were rolling " up a hill".
So I went too far with the edge support, reigned it back in and now It's well balanced and I wouldn't know how to make it better than it is :) karl..
Thanks Karl!
is the removable cover washable?
Hi Graham, I designed the quilting and the mattress. So I should be able to answer your question :) It is washable. However, you should take care in washing this cover (or any mattress cover). If it shrinks it will tighten the mattress and make it firmer. There are certainly other mattresses with covers that are easier to wash than my mattress covers. However, as with anything in the world of mattresses, there's always a tradeoff. A thinner cover will move around a lot more. Also If I used a thinner cover there is a good chance that whatever spills on the mattress will go through to the foam underneath which is unwashable.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask away, happy to help :) karl..
