(which can be ordered on request). I was on the mission to buy the softest mattress to sink those hips in and still have support up and down from the hip area (waist and legs). My husband prefers the medium feel, but he said "happy wife, happy life" and was willing to give it a go. After much research, we drove to Ausbeds to pick up the chosen mattress. I must say, customer service was excellent at purchase time and we haven't needed any post sales support, nor anticipate to need any. Some weeks after sleeping on the new mattress my husband began complaining about back pain and a feeling of sleeping like in a dish. I reluctantly admitted that I am not perfectly comfortable either and as we were discussing "what's wrong with the mattress" I brought up the advice given to me at time of sale: "the mattress MUST BE ON A SOLID PLATFORM". Which of course we didn't follow and put it on the usual timber slats most beds come with. He looked at me, annoyed, questioning how could it possibly make any difference, and as I was trying to figure that out myself, I suddenly had a light bulb moment. Being a pocket spring construction, the springs are not intervowen together but move independently of each other. So some springs are supported by the timber slats and others are "hanging in thin air" in between them, supported only by fabric. So that means that our weight is only being picked up by half of the springs, hence the sagging feeling. We now have the mattress on a solid platform and it feels entirely different. It is soft and bouncy, yet very supportive and we both find it extremely comfortable. He said that this is now officially the best mattress and he finds all other mattresses less comfortable (he is frequently away with work). Happiness all around! In terms of temperature, it feels cool in summer and neutral in winter. I was worried it would be cold in winter, but that's not the case.

I am no longer waking up with a sore back unlike when I had my previous mattress which had started sagging and was really starting to affect my back. The customer service from Ausbeds was outstanding. I ordered the mattress and the base in the morning online. Courtney from Ausbeds called me within the hour to confirm my order and asked me when I would like it delivered. They didn't have the mattress in their warehouse so they made one for me and it was delivered approximately 4 hours later by 2 very friendly and helpful guys who set the base and mattress up for me. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they took the plastic wrap away for me as well as they recycle it (also a great environmental initiative). So far the mattress shows no signs of sagging which is great and my back has improved since sleeping on this. Only taking 1 point off as it is a little firmer than I was hoping for, but apart from that very happy with the quality of it and the customer service during the delivery process.

and made in the Sydney factory. As promised, the mattresses were delivered on time the following morning, despite the 1 hr drive from the factory. Harry who delivered the mattresses, was very friendly and efficient. He single-handedly managed to carry the mattresses (which were sturdy and heavy) up the stairs to the bedrooms, with very little help from me. Very thankful. The mattress felt good when I slept on it. At this moment, it is too soon for me to comment on the long-term comfort and durability of the mattresses. So comfortable it’s hard to get up in the morning! – The bed is super comfortable, perfect level of firmness for me. Was a great bed for around a year. 3 years in, there are 2 clear dents from where we lay, with a mound in the Middle – Not durable at all, lasts a year or so then you can clearly see the dents from where you lay. We have a mound in the middle so you are ending up sleeping on an angle because of this. We got the firm version as well and still this happened. middle cause its higher and its feels like you going uphill. i have turned it around but then its the opposite you feel like you body is arched and you can feel springs in the bum area and theres no support in the shoulder area it dips there to i cant sleep more then 4 hrs on it otherwise my back is paining and its getting worse i had trouble the other day sitting down cause my tailbone was bruised from the bed i have put a foam topper on it to make it softer but then it dips more im kinda dissapointed that the mattress didnt last long compared to my old traditional mattress which lasted 12 yrs

Delivered the wrong bed. No apology. Very poor customer service – I ordered Sienna SR4 Queen in the store and they delivered the wrong bed. The packaging say SR4 but after setting it up, I noticed it feels a bit firmer. Then I checked the label and it say SR6 Queen. We bought our Sienna 8 5 years ago and have loved sleeping on it. Any issues have been dealt with personally by Karl and he always takes the time to explain the technical details of his mattresses. Highly recommend supporting this Aussie business.

Why I reco Ausbed – The Ausbeds Sienna mattress is comfy and supportive, with a great mix of springs and a soft top for restful sleep. It's well-made and easy to set up, with fast delivery and friendly service. However, it might feel a bit firm for those who prefer a very soft mattress. Great comfort and quality at a reasonable price – This mattress was the firmest one I was offered. It feels great laying down on it - soft while seated but my body feels very flat and well supported when laying down. the firmness is perfect and i'm sleeping better as a result. Instore service and delivery were both excellent, materials used seem of high quality and iv'e got peace of mind knowing that the mattress design allows for changing firmness over time (should I need to) and that components could be repaired or replaced should the need arise.

size - 60kg, and 85kg. The mattress is pretty heavy, but I don't really think of that as a con as such. The customer service is ridiculously good too. Could not recommend this company more.
