I used to love Aussie Broadband (I've been a customer for years).. Unfortunately, their customer service has gone the same way as the other big telcos.. Ordered a New SIM card on 29 January... I'm still waiting (today is 13 Feb)... Called for support and it's not their problem. I need to deal with AusPost (tracking shows the SIM card has been… Read more

travelling around Melbourne between 30 Jan - 12 Feb, it's still in Melbourne & I live in Sydney)..

Even after the call for support, I'm still receiving sms messages from Aussie Broadband telling me to Activate the SIM or it will be disabled... How can I activate a SIM that has not been delivered yet!!!

Surely they are smarter than this???

I decided to move my Mobile Sim card to Aussie Broadband Mobile and take advantage of the bundle price as I already have my internet service with them. While I got my SIM in just a few days, I apparently made an error in ordering my SIM card and ordered a data only card by mistake. I was somewhat surprised when I activated my new Aussie BB Mobile… Read more ·  2

sim that even though my number had been ported from my previous provider I was unable to make or receive phone calls or SMS/texts. I rang Aussie BB customer service to learn I had ordered a data only Sim. However they were able to rectify this my slightly modifying the monthly Sim Card Plan and removing the 'bars' on the SIM so that it could send and receive Phone calls & SMS/texts.

So this was all working a few hours later when I was made aware of an issue that when I called or received a phone call it shows up as a 'Private Number' and not with my or a caller's phone number. Not a good thing when so many calls are 'potential scams' and need to be screened before answering.

This morning I rang Aussie Broadband and customer service was able to help me rectify the issue with me making calls so that it now shows my caller ID when I ring. The receiving calls problem maybe a network issue and they will try to have this fixed ASAP.

I'm hoping to be able to use my phone 100% soon, but I am now pretty close.

I transferred from Telstra pre paid to Aussie broadband a months ago, I did it all online, got the sim in 2 days, and was connected 45 minutes after starting the process....I didn't even have to speak to anyone....fantastic product, fantastic price.... Show reply

Follow-up  · One month on, and I wonder why I stuck with Telstra so long, considering I'd been an Aussie Broadband customer for 4 years....I have had nothing but top quality mobile phone coverage.....

The mobile coverage is average however when there is coverage the phone is intermittently not receiving calls... saying the number is not connected, unreachable, or just hangs up. Clients cannot even leave a message. Have contact support on multiple occasions, issue continues to happen. They say will get back in 24-48 hours but never do. Very… Read more

Poor customer service, nil attempt to resolve issues, blatantly ignored complaints – Honestly the product, experience, and customer service have been quite poor since i've signed on. Signed onto Aussie broadband mid 2024 and sim card failed towards the end of christmas (Other SIM cards work on my phone). Called through for a resolution. They couldn't do anything except send a new sim. Called on 26/12/24. SIM was dispatched on… Read more

30/12/24 and havent seen it since.

Voiced my concerns today: - Delayed dispatch - Unable to port my number to any other provider due to failed sim - Aussie broadband billed me for the sim which has failed as well as the month for a service that isnt active.. - The response from the support team was that the sim was lost in transit and they dispatched a new sim card...

Poor customer service, ignored my complaint and nil proactiveness to remediate anything.

Will be porting over to a new provider once SIM card comes through. Really dissapointed in this provider that claims to be a representation of Australia...

Excellent service from this Telco with an onshore call centre – Since porting over all my services from Southern Phone to Aussie Broadband I couldn't be happier . Recently I had a problem with the reception on my mobile phone and they did everything they could to troubleshoot the problem , in the end it was determined that the sim had become faulty and they promptly dispatched a new one , they also called me… Read more

and emailed me as a follow up to ensure that I was satisfied with the resolution before they closed the fault . I'm also totally happy with the porting over process from my previous Telco and the rates I am receiving .

Not Aussie Broadband – Signed up for Aussie Broadband Black Friday special on Prepaid Mobile phone plans. Decided to move 4 mobile numbers over from other providers. Two of the four number ported over within 15min albeit on seperate days. All good so far. Then today (11/12) get an email that the 3rd number (15yr old kids number) is active and to install the new SIM… Read more

card. After installing the new SIM, no network and SOS continued to show up. Called the call centre 3 times and got 3 different stories as to why this was the case. Still none the wiser what had happened but apparently it is a faulty SIM card. So a new SIM card will be sent out and should be received in approximately 5 days. So in this day and age, a 15yr old child on school holidays to be without mobile data for 5 days is absolutely ridiculous. Especially form a so called Telco. And would not offer any other option other than standard mail delivery. A faulty SIM card is not a customer fault. So now i have organised for a courier to collect the SIM card from Aussie Broadband in Morwell and have it delivered within 2 business days at my own cost of $56. But Aussie Broadband are going to waive the first month's billing of $17.50. Way to go Aussie Broadband. Above and beyond for customer service. Look elsewhere if you can.

Very good and happy but slight improvement needed to be near perfect like your NBN service – I like the customer service and mobile network quality. Very happy. 4 Stars only because I think mobile network customer service staff need a little more training on Mobile network assistance. You have perfect customer service for NBN connections, I think mobile network team level of skill and knowledge could have been better. Also, there is no eSIM available yet which was a bit disappointing. Show details

Mobile mayhem – My Mobile was not working; not able to make or receive calls, so I borrowed a phone and gave Aussie a call. It took the friendly operator a while to sort it and figure out what had caused the problem but they were so helpful and patient and gave me easy to understand instructions. Aussie Broadband is the best provider we have ever been with! Consistent excellence customer service. Show reply

Misleading and deceptive about international roaming – Absolutely appalling mobile phone service. Poor coverage ~ 6 days in Broome with no coverage in May. Worse still is that They do not offer international roaming unlike other providers. They do not disclose this in their marketing or signup. This causes problems when travelling outside Australia where bank transactions require OTP to Australian… Read more

Aussie broadband mobile – We were looking at reducing costs and looked at swapping our phone plans from a premium provider to someone cheaper. We already had NBN with Aussie broadband so looked into their plans. Prices seemed really good and a further 50% off for 6months promotion sounded great. Agreed to have 2 x Sims sent out. As we didn't want to be left without a phone… Read more

we were planning on activating one, then on another day activating the other. We have 2 young children and love busy lives. Apparently you can only try port your number once per day. After 3 attempts across 3 days and multiple phone calls to Aussie broadband we have given up. From my experience since Aussie broadband became a publically listed company their customer service is gone. We will not be activating either Sim and I'm considering removing the NBN and finding another provider. The Aussie broadband team when dealing with our Sim card issue have proved to us that they're completely incompetent and do not listen. It's really not that hard to port a number, but apparently Aussie broadband can't get it done. Steer clear of Aussie broadband.

Very frustrated with poor service – I recently bought a new sim from Aussie broadband and a new phone elsewhere. After setting everything up I wasn't able to send or receive mms attachments. barred mms services due to scammers, however they didn't believe it would impact many customers so they didn't bother to let me know. I have been with ABB for many years, but this is a deal breaker for me, I start researching for a new provider as soon as this review is finished. Very disappointing Aussie BB, never assume your decisions to impact customer services don't warrant communication with them first!

Great Aussie Broadband Service – Mohamed was excellent in attending to my complaint that my broadband service was slow, and sometimes non existent. He patiently guided me to reset both the nbn box n modem. He tested my speeds at the end of the works. Now I get better use of my Broadband service. His excellent service got me to sign up for Aussie Bb SIM card for my mobile. Show details ·  1

Barely even a joke – Signed up for Aussie Broadband Mobile. They said it would take up to 10 days to send out my sim. A little long, but fair enough. After that 10 day period, I called back to ask where my sim was. They didn't know, and said they would lodge an inquiry. Just under a week later, I call back again. A shrug, "We're still waiting to hear back". I… Read more
