Very bad quality and delays fixing issues
BAD quality overall, leaving a bit of defect on everything (missing wall painting, blocked duct heating vent, missing sealant, missed tightening of dishwasher pipe, loose or broken GPO, etc. a lot). Some of these they fixed, some they regarded as small items and they just ignore them (I'm tired to chase them up). Worst of all is for bigger items they have the same tactics to delay fixing. I worked with a lady called [Name Removed] from Frasers, had some issue with the rain water dropping from soffit instead of running through water pipe. I orig...inally reported that as a water leak and so during our session she kept telling it was not a water leak despite the clear water marks on the soffit. She could not just by-pass my misuse of terminology to just acknowledge it was a defect that needed to be fixed! Before that I got a photo and also showed a video when it was raining to her, but she still requested another video when it rains next time, that's when I lost my patience. Please excuse me for the my bad temper on that day but if I didn't do that the issue wouldn't have been fixed by now. Now coming next is the squeaky floor, Jacqui and her floor laying guys agreed it was squeaky (in multiple places) but was not severe (They originally said it was not consistent but I objected and showed them it was consistent). The guy recommend if he fixed in one place, other places may get squeaky later on so let's wait for 3 months to see how it goes and contact them again. For this I'm still waiting but it raised a concern now when I got to know about their issue with my neighbour just opposite the road: it is an issue with his squeaky laminate floor and you can see a saggy hole in the floor with your eyes. He reported the issue 8 months ago when he moved in and everything went on very well, someone came to have a look and and the conversation with Frasers gave an impression that it would be fixed (but not yet due to Covid lockdown). Now the Covid lockdown is gone, same lady above came and had a look again and same thing she said it is not a defect. How do you feel entering your new home with the floor having a saggy hole in the living space and squeaky sound everywhere and it is not a defect??? Discussion is still going on but it wastes so much of our time. While the lady was doing this and getting paid, we had to spend time doing research and asked for time off to talk to her. It is not the right thing for a big company like Frasers to do so. You got issues with quality, you have to fix it and not pass to your customers!
Very disappointing company
It is often found, when dealing as an individual with the corporate system, that the corporate system will try its best to misguide you into doing certain actions that you would otherwise be well-informed enough to not do.
I am severely disappointed because they had double price list and show us cheaper one then when I interested in, Sales manager brought new price list from inside sales room.
I would not recommend anyone use Fairewater display centre to buy it but to instead find a real estate agent. If I could give a -5/5 to express my utmost disappointment I would.
This is bad
They tried to charge me to replace basin in the bathroom which has the very poor design of the basin in the bathroom. This is a layer separation due to poor quality material of the drawer so water and moisture will settle on itself causing warping. That makes us hard (I want to repeat again: very hard) to clean our face and do daily brush teeth. I am not happy to pay something it makes us hard to do daily work life and it is not cause from us. You can find the same complaints in Community Wolli Creek on Facebook. The cleaner also told us this i...s a common issue because of poor quality since he did his job for many apartments in Wolli Creek. We was extremely careful with keeping the bathroom drawer and basin wiped, cleaned dried after use. However, as I said this is faulty of design of basin.
Great Customer service and Premium Plots and Professional Sales team
Bought a Land in 2017 Dec.The location and the developments were extremely high in quality. Developer planning requirements are clear for Architect to design efficiently, no guesswork, less frustrating abortive work, has a competitive edge over others with the right products, Developer optimizes use of its land and not necessary maximizes its plot ratio;
Poor Quality workmanship
I had purchased two houses from Fraser and my jaw dropped looking at the quality of what they had delivered. When i reported defects, i was told that it won't be rectified as they are within the building standard tolerances. When I threatened to take them to VCAT, they paid for a building inspector to carry out an inspection report where all of the issues i had reported (plus more) were captured. Fraser showed no intent in getting these items rectified. It has been over a year now and I am still trying to get those items from the building inspector's report ticked off. If i had known about the quality of their delivery, i would not have signed up for the second house. The worse mistake of my life. Stay away if you can.
Pride in workmanship & customer Satisfaction not one of their objectives
From day 1 our experience has been a complete disaster. Apartment covered in thick concrete dust from ceiling to floor on settlement, kitchen cabinets needing multiple replacements to get right, car parking encroached by air conditioners & storage cages, intolerable noise from other apartments. After 4 attempts by these baffoons to hang a bedroom door that would not stay open we gave up live with it. My wife will not have them in the home again, just no respect - filthy boots, knocking walls & doors & obviously zero skills.
Any complaints are met with the same old tied line "it complies".
Worst decision we ever made.
Excellent quality and very responsive to fixing any defects
Overall the workmanship and quality was excellent. It was exactly as per the contract and the plans. They even gave us more car parking space than we thought we were going to get.
There were very minor defects such as a crack in the gyprock in the ceiling appear after a month. Frasers came out to fill it and paint it over within 72 hours.
Tap leaks and paint marks and re-grouting all were corrected within 48 hours.
Those were the only defects we've had.
Customer service from Frasers could be more responsive when you an enquiry, but their online hub for reporting hubs is attended to almost immediately within 24 hours.
Ask the actual people who live in one of their houses
Well space is great but the detail and other items are debatable.
The estimated replacement cost is doubtful or fanciful in their eyes they are saying look as the increase value "this isn't the building "its Sydney prices not the building itself.
They use mdf scirting very cheap and the doors are equally cheap.
The painting 3 coats doubtful and outside paintwork is looking sad already lel alone the plastic fake wood is bleached already 2 years now. Mirrors are also desilvering on edges probably due to week extracion fans.
Buyers beware as ...
Careless and arrogant
I have never encountered a company that shows such a total lack or care and respect towards its own customers! The home we purchased was riddled with flaws, and when this was brought to their attention time after time, they did not seem at all concerned. They took no responsibility, showed no empathy, and certainly never apologised. You would think developers would understand the importance of a what a HOME means to their clients but not Frasers. I would never go anywhere near this company ever again. I have lived in many new homes, and have never experienced such a large number of flaws and such poor workmanship. Just sad really.
Very poor service & workmanship
Don't buy any development from Australand; the sales people are brilliant but after a year things started breaking and leaking and as developers Australand will not act as the maintenance period has expired. I now have problems with cracks on the exterior walls after only 2.5 years.

Failing to rectify defects properly
Our strata scheme has retaining wall defects since occupancy in 2014. Frasers had been wasting warranty time taking years to rectify. My section of the retaining wall was first rectified in July 2017 with just mortar place in the cracks and the other section of the retaining wall keystone blocks were replaced in October 2017 because they think the other section is more defective than my section of the wall. The rectification was not rectified properly and continue to shift and more cracks appear and Frasers just returned to silicone the cracks ...as wide as 2cm. I believe there is no drainage system in place and Frasers had previously just drilled holes at the bottom of the wall to let water out. This issue is still ongoing. Frasers properties are very poor quality and they do not rectify defects properly.
Very frustrated with Australand and their faulty workmanship with regard to the build of units in Northcote, Melbourne. A number of units are experiencing serious water leaks to the front of the properties with loose tiling and faulty waterproofing on balconies resulting in water seeping through brickwork and plasterwork and puddles of water forming inside the units as well as dripping on to electrical wiring of lighting. Australand have taken the position that the waterproofing was completed to ‘the standards at the time’ so accept no responsi...bility for it. That’s their position though – I’m sure VCAT will have a different position for them to take upon reviewing this case. Poor quality workmanship and equally poor quality customer service with denial of all responsibility.
Questions & Answers
Keen to buy a property at Ed Square. The property is expected for handover in mid 2023. Can anyone please comment how close Fraser Properties deliver on estimated completion dates? Moreover there is no display properties ATM for the property type that I am buying so it is hard or guesstimate what I am expecting to get as inclusions etc. Any feedback on those please. I am also concerned about how the bank will value the property 3 yrs down the track and if it is undervalued then it would be a disaster. I am a first home buyer and can someone please share thoughts and experience in my scenario. Thanks in advance.
We purchased off the plan years ago all looked good but the builder who actually built the house wasnt good.. they have been liquidated now so thats a relief for you, just check who the builder who does the work is.frasers are a good company and big enough to stand bytheir reputation, there appartments ive seen built by Taylors look good .
We're looking at purchasing off the plan with Frasers at Burwood Brickworks in Melbourne. I've read through the reviews and questions and this has confused us even more as there's been some really positive and negative feedback. We understand the risk we take to purchase off the plan but this is a massive community like group they are building. Would anyone be able to provide any feedback or advice? Thank you!
