I've had to try and chock them. Ive called and emailed APS and I keep getting told that it will get passed onto management. This has been going on for months and no longer get any response from them, so problem still exists.
Would not recommend the bi-fold doors at all, however as I said their other shutters are fantastic.

go with the deal. Initial deposit was required and also informed of the time to manufacture the shutters. (About 10 weeks) but this came in earlier. Then to arrange a fitting date which changed a few times as I work away sometimes. No stress if I had to rearrange. Then the Lads who came out were also absolutely fantastic. Extremely pleasant good laugh and did the job with ease. Talked me through everything they did in case I need to alter /adjust at any time. They also took every bit of rubbish/packaging and run the hoover where they'd been working. Would definitely recommend. No stress . Job well done.

know they would have problems with their business and shouldn't plan a holiday just in case!). Also when the shutters were initially installed a tradie dropped a screw in my sons play room (lucky I found it before he ate it), and one of the tradies walked all over my house in wet dusty shoes resulting in me having to wash my floors when they left (thank you to the other two who did take their shoes off). Update 8 Dec 2022: after a couple more visits because one of my windows got measured wrong again the installers ended up having to modify my shutters on-site because the warehouse couldn't get it right. See pictures attached I'm left with a frame that is scratched, corners don't line up and gaps have been filled with silicone.

Fantastic shutters - poor service, communication, delivery and no installation instructions ! – I bought the external plantation shutters from APS for a DIY install. we were told to order before the end of the week to ensure delivery by Christmas. I ordered on the Wednesday (8th November) and paid - the ordering process was thorough, detailed but simple. After a few weeks, with Christmas looming, I had to reach out to them to find out what was happening with my order - it would be late as a component was not available or some issue with the powdercoaters ... all good, sometimes things just happen, but why no contact to let me know ?
The next issue was delivery - despite the clear statements on the website and the salesperson's reassurances that they could deliver the shutters, they then said they could not deliver and could not even help with delivery or provide any preferred couriers. After a number of escalations they arranged delivery with Pack & Send which I paid for immediately.
The delivery finally occurred on February 14th, seven weeks late. The next issue was that no installation instructions were provided and the shutters were NOT in the configuration shown on the website videos where they are preloaded in the frame, ready to just pop into the opening followed by a few securing screws. The shutters were all in seperate boxes with the top and bottom rails plus a box load of components that needed to be configured. All without any instructions !!!
I contacted APS again - they told me it was "not possible" to provide instructions as they shutters are bespoke sizes. This is patent nonsense. I spent a couple of hours working through the components to figure out the install and successfully installed the first set of shutters. I am now documenting the whole process and taking photos of the second set so that they have instructions for clients in the future.
All in all it has been a very bad experience but the outcome is that we have excellent shutters. If you are patient enough to wrestle through the process to get a great product then go ahead but it is far from easy to deal with APS.

Much better than timber – We recently replaced 4 white timber shutters across the front of our home as they had started to crack and separate and when closed, they did not stop light from entering as it appears they had bowed from heat, sun and fade from UV. should have not had to be included with some of your bad experiences. We hope that there would be another way that not all your customers are placed in the same basket. Our reason for stating the above is that we had a bad experience with another unrelated company and if we had paid everything up front, we would have lost everything.

This is an all Australian business, shutters are made in Newcastle, we like to support Australian businesses as much as possible. We got rid of all the old venetian blinds & curtains, happy to say goodbye. The rooms look bigger and we can control the light & privacy much better, also makes the house look more modern. Great Outcome and Product – Took a bit of time to sought due to Christmas and a busy time of year finally got it on track and shutters available within the time period. DIY install was very easy and resulted in a very possessional look. Just be aware these are a quality product and depending on size are heavy, you need a mate to help.
