They take your money and send you crap – Recently ordered two baseball hats for £25.00 from www.babyshowersgalore.com and received two baseball caps which were worth about 50p each. This web site looks too good to be true and it is, they will rip you off. Stay well clear or you lose your money.

OK – Great logo and presentation, the image comes off as professional. Good range but sometimes products are not always in stock and can take months to arrive. Staff are unable to tell you when stock will arrive. I placed an order for my cot and pram in July last year and it did not arrive until mid October. My gift registry vanished and had to be done… Read more

from scratch again. I was quite annoyed that the online gift registry and in store registry are not able to be synced up with each other.

My latest experience was today at the Camperdown store when wanting to receive credit on items received from my sons Christening baby shower. It turned out that when creating this gift registry, the old one (from my baby shower) was not closed and I ended up receiving items from that old one, of which i had already bought since.

The manager covered in visible tattoos and an attitude to match was unable to help me saying 'i needed to ask my friends for their receipts'. I almost walked out of the store very upset but insisted on speaking to someone else, It wasn't until a very helpful staff member [name removed] looked up my details on the system and was able to print off the receipts within a couple of minutes. Something so simple, a manager should be able to rectify these very common returns. Some staff are friendly and helpful Slightly disorganised, messy store. Unable to order stock through.

Awful site - do not buy anything from them! – Ordered a bumbo baby seat, money was taking practically straight away. A week later nothing I continually checked there website and it always said processing. I contacted them asking what was happening with my order. I gave them my email address, home & mobile number and ask them to contact me as I could not call them - no response a few days… Read more

later they updated there "track your order" bit to say item was out of stock and they were going to contact me but I heard nothing. Another week past I had not heard anything from them it had been two weeks since they had taken my money and no-one had bothered to write an email or call to let me know my item was out of stock and to offer me an alternative after 1 month 5 increasing annoyed emails begging for a refund I am still without a bumbo seat or any money I am not looking at what further action I can take. Never, ever buy anything from these people. I would highly not recommend this site I usually always purchase items online using paypal as a safety net but was drawn in by their sale prices it is something I now regret. No pros of any kind! Everything - took my money and never gave me my item. Fair Trading is the next step I think.

Excellent – I can't thank [name censored] at the Belmont store enough for her patience when we were looking at prams recently. Nothing was a problem, she spent so much time demonstrating each one with us - all while our toddler was tearing around the store, which didn't bother her in the slightest! We were able to take each pram outside to see how they fit in… Read more

the car and how they pushed on the outdoor surface with our son in them. We've come across many stores who are nowhere near that obliging. Although (as with most baby shops) items can be a bit pricey on the floor - everything we have purchased from there has been discounted at the register for us. Sometimes you just have to ask! A great shopping experience overall, would happily shop there again. Great selection, well laid out, very pleasant knowledgeable staff. They have change facilities (rare for our region!) and the store is always really clean and well organised. The nearest store is over an hour away from us! They hold very limited stock on some items, so have to order in which can take a week or two to receive. Our experience has been that this is generally for the larger items though.

Excellent – We bought a Jeep Classic Duo pram about 5 months ago after engineer at expo talked it up and sold us on it. We were always going to purchase the Phil & Ted. This Jeep is very overrated and our baby tipped backwards in it. After a very long warranty issue with repairs and phone calls the engineer stated that we must have had bags on the handle for… Read more

it to tip. This engineer, who works for Carlyles, was very rude and aggressive towards both my wife and I. To cut a very bad, long, experience short the store manager, Keperra, followed this up. The area manager then viewed our pram and after a five minute phone call we walked out of the store with a Mountain Buggy Elite. Our experience with the Keperra store has been nothing but first class. If you want extra stress in your life purchase a Jeep pram!! Have bought a fair bit of stock from Keperra store in the last 6 months. Always are treated with respect and never kept waiting for service. Product knowledge by all staff was very good and always were honest with us. Being a large company there are too many policies when it comes to warranty issues which slows up the process.

Terrible – Regarding the Kepperra store: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We had the most incredible saga getting a pram we ordered. Originally two weeks' wait, it turned into over eight, and then we only got it because I filed a formal complaint with the state manager. (In the meantime they kept trying to hoodwink us into taking two different coloured pram sections! … Read more

Not suggesting that we did, but slipping in other coloured bits, telling us they were the bits we wanted when they clearly weren't.) What was -- at that point -- potentially another further six weeks' wait miraculously became only two days' wait once I'd stamped my feet. The state manager called me direct and proceeded to bad-mouth his staff at length, despite me telling him repeatedly that I had to go because I was supervising my young children! He called to iron it all over by applying the Basil Fawlty method. What a shambles.

When we finally got in to pick the pram up we were given a bit of a cold shoulder by the staff, presumably because the manager had blasted them. I think their issues are at a systemic level; if staff can't find things, is that their fault, or because the management doesn't have decent systems in place? A total dog's breakfast. Give it wide berth. Close by Poor service, poor management, rude, disorganised, dishonest.

Good – I have found staff to be well educated on their products and they are always really helpful, they are happy to spend as much time with you as you need. Good – Babies galore always seem to have the best range of products by far and most of the staff working in the Wentworthville store are very knowledgeable and very friendly. OK – Store and staff are excellent! They just have one downside which is that they seem to be priced quite high. For eg I paid $109 for a playgym, found it later at BIG W for $78 which was their regular price... so can be disappointing. Bad – Babies Galore seems like a necessary evil, really. There are things that we pretty much have to get from there, and the experience is typically not very pleasant. Chatswood store to have helpful staff and a good range of products. Chatswood isn't our most convenient store... the most conveniently located is Warringah Mall store in Brookvale, which is terrible. Excellent – Wollongong (Warrawong) NSW store If anything, they're probably not the cheapest store around, but they stock a good range and you can generally find something in your price range. Having said that, due to my disgusting treatment by the Pram Warehouse at Loganholme, Babies Galore were more than willing to help me get in contact with the manufacturer to fix my problem, even though they were getting nothing out of it. Terrible – Our recent experience at the Castle Hill store mirrors that of many other reviewers here, in that staff seemed to go out of their way not to be helpful. none of them were about to offer any assistance anytime soon.

After approaching them and asking for assistance with one of the products, a staff member finally came over, but was sullen and unhelpful. When asked which colours the store had in stock, the staff member did not offer to check, but instead replied "I dunno, probably the same as the one on display" despite it being available in 5 different colours. Anyway we decided to purchase it, however when we went to the counter another staff member took 20 minutes to check stock and then inform us that they did not have any, and it would take at least a week to receive it. If we'd known this when we first enquired, we would've left then and there! Unfortunately as we were from interstate we didn't have the luxury of waiting around for a week.

We also enquired about whether they would ship interstate, another question which no one in the store seemed capable of answering... so basically the whole experience was a big waste of time for us, something you can't really afford when you have a 6-month old in tow. Access to a reasonably wide product range Appalling customer service, lack of stock

Galore, they have clearly found a market, but from my observation they need a bit of fine-tuning. Huge range of products, catalogue. Catalogue prices aren't always what you pay at the checkout.
