DO NO BUY FROM BABYHOOD! We had a terrible experience buying a cot, the mattress and bamboo protector. Firstly when the items arrived, the mattress (which was protected by a thin plastic cover was completely ripped all over, leading to terrible dirt all over the mattress cover. acceptable seeing as we paid over 300 dollars for the mattress and cover. Unfortunately, the company did not think this warranted a full replacement and only a replacement of the mattress cover. However, when we opened up the mattress cover we noticed it was stained in blood!

They assured us it was red chalk but I have attached a photo for anyone wanting to see. We were so disappointed by their communication and how they did not believe us.

That said, they did decide on giving us a replacement cover, however, they sent us wheels instead.

Now, it has been over a month and Babyhood are holding our replacement package hostage until we send a random person their wheels, we are not even sending it BACK to the company. Personally I find this a terrible breach of privacy as I now have the name and address of a random customer of Babyhood because they were to lazy to send this themselves, (in saying this, I have sent this customer his wheel but still no package has arrived for me)

At this stage, I think I wont receive a replacement mattress cover, and even after asking for a refund, the company is refusing to comply.

Good luck to whomever decides to buy from this company, you may have your address and details given to random people, or you may not get given your parcel at all.

So in love with our cot – I feel in love with the bella cot over 2 years ago so when we knew we were having a baby I already knew what cot I was buying. It's beautiful visually and so well built. It was easy for my husband to put it together and the team at babyhood were super helpful and amazing to deal with. So recommended this cot and any babyhood products. Show reply

With so much overconsumption in the baby industry, it’s refreshing to have a piece that truly grows with your child. For anyone living in a smaller space, it’s such a smart option instead of having to store bulky furniture between stages or children.

part has snapped without actually coming off they also always switch to break even when we haven’t put them onto it. We love the rest of the co sleeper it’s unfortunately just the wheels that let this product down. I’ve being told I can purchase new ones but definitely don’t want to waste more money on another set of these just to break again shortly after. Did expect bit better quality wheels for it.

of a tear/cut and not a manufacturing fault. They refused to provide a refund. They were dismissive of my complaint and ascribed the blame to me - but as I pointed out, why would I deliberately damage something that I have purchased?? Further, the damage is in the corner, where the fabric is reinforced with a seam and multiple layers - I couldn’t generate sufficient force to tear it in this spot even if I wanted to.

Terrible customer service, and zero accountability. This was my first and last purchase from Babyhood.

Terrible experience, conned at the baby expo, if we spent over $1000, we would get a free travel basinet. we never got the travel bassinet. Spoke to 4 sales people on the day who said the travel bassinet will be included. No Compensation what so ever.....we spent close to $2000. very disappointing customer service.

Ordered a cot and paid $70 for delivery, only to be sent the wrong parts and left unable to assemble it. Instead of fixing their own mistake, they told me to drive 75 minutes to collect the correct pieces myself. On top of that, the pieces we were able to put together already had paint chipping off them. For the price you pay, it feels like cheaply imported garbage.

Their website proudly states they’re an “Australian family company,” but both the product quality and the customer service scream “[Content Removed] imports.”

When I called to speak with [Name Removed] directly to avoid the endless email back-and-forth, he repeatedly cut me off — to the point where I had to ask him to stop interrupting me mid-sentence. Completely unprofessional.

What a disappointing company. I’ll be telling every mother I know not to purchase from them. Would not use again.

When emailed about a refund, we were told to simply clean as they can't do anything about them because all sales are final and no refunds or exchanges are given. They always advised to send videos of the issue. The problem with that is that the wheel locking occurs randomly and I can't very well walk around with a camera constantly on the wheels on the off chance it happens.

The ACCC is very clear on this topic and that a replacement or refund must be provided if there are any defects.

They sent a product that had a huge chunk of the wood on an edge of the frame visibly cut off with some weird white residue which looks like they tried to glue pieces back on a $1600 cot and when we sent photos they said their is no resolution because we did not keep the box it came with. nothing to do with the delivery. We only realised during assembly after we had removed the box and cut it up to put in the bin because we didn’t expect something like this to happen. What a horrible experience to have your baby’s cot with a very obvious defect after you spent so much money and the resolution is well you didn’t keep the box so somehow they think they are not bound by consumer laws. Luckily I’m a lawyer with all the resources in the world. They also intentionally don’t have Google reviews switched on because of the influx of bad Google reviews. Their “extortion policy” is that if anyone threatens to leave a bad review if they don’t resolve legitimate issues this is considered criminal conduct?! Pretty sure selling defective items and saying there can be no resolution because the box is no longer available is against the ACL.

My husband and I purchased the Breathe Eze Cosy Crib Original. At first I absolutely loved this product and couldn’t fault it, however after using it for three whole weeks now we have come across a few issues with the product. cover is super tight which makes it extremely difficult to get back onto the cushion once it has been taken off. If you manage to get it back on, it doesn’t really go back to its original shape.

The second issue is that although it says it is breathable, my three week old sweats super badly when laying on this. On one occasion I went to pick up my son and he was laying in a puddle of his own sweat (and I mean a legitimate puddle). We got a fright thinking it was a medical issue, however we tried putting a more breathable barrier (a cotton towel) between my son and the mattress and the sweating stopped. In the photo I’ve attached you can see it was so much sweat that went through the mattress and soaked the fabric underneath. The mattress unfortunately seems to be a plastic sort of foam which you can imagine isn’t very breathable at all. It would be great if they could use a different mattress for future designs!

Other than that, the customer service is amazing and the other products I have purchased (a rocking chair and change pad) have been perfect.

We purchased the Classic Curve 4-in-1 cot and the cot base arrived broken in the box. citing a 5-day window to report issues due to their insurance policy. Because they couldn't claim it under their insurance, they would not take responsibility for the replacement.

Babyhood's solution was for me to pay for a replacement cot base ($225 plus shipping). I managed to get it repaired locally for cheaper but it was still an expensive fix due to the proprietary design. Then, when we finally assembled the cot, we discovered the drop side didn't work so that meant 2 of the 5 panels of the cot arrived broken. Replacing these broken parts would have cost as much as buying the same cot all over again.

On top of that, Babyhood's customer service was shockingly hostile and unprofessional even though I remained polite throughout. They even sent me a very hurtful email calling me a bad parent after I received advice from Fair Trading about my rights under the Australian Consumer Law. (I honestly couldn't believe this when it happened because I've never seen this kind of communication from any other company ever, but I've since read a lot of reviews from other customers who unfortunately had a similar experience and even received threats from Babyhood customer service.)

Overall, this has been a very stressful and expensive experience. The product quality is poor, and the customer service is hostile and unhelpful. It is extremely disappointing this happened with a company whose customers are primarily families welcoming new babies. It took me 6 months to post this review after it all happened because the experience was so distressing, and I know Babyhood argues all the negative reviews on this site so that was a lot to deal with at the time while I had a tiny new baby. But I'm doing it now because it is important for others to know what happened to us so hopefully it won't happen to you.

glides so smoothly, there is no annoying jerking movement, no rickety sounds etc. You can also completely control the movement - i.e doesn’t rock if you don’t want it to which is my preference as that movement can make me get dizzy. I would highly HIGHLY recommend

immediately emailed them to request a return and refund, but they refused.

I called and spoke to [Name Removed], who explained that this was part of their policy. Given that I'm due to give birth in two days, I asked if an exchange could be arranged, and she assured me someone would follow up. However, within minutes, I received an email stating they would not process an exchange. Their customer service has been extremely disappointing throughout this process.

Considering the industry they’re in, I expected more understanding and support for mothers, but instead, I feel as though they’ve shown complete disregard and are unwilling to accommodate at all. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I will be reporting them to consumer protection.
