owner insisted that I take the faulty bed back home and wait for a courier pick-up, which took an agonizing three weeks. The courier was a no-show, forcing us to adjust our schedules for two consecutive days. To add to the frustration, the owner falsely claimed to have refunded the money, resulting in numerous fruitless attempts to rectify the situation via emails and calls. Ultimately, I had to personally visit the shop and demand my rightful refund. So they sent me the right mattress that is dirty and ripped for a baby born prematurely with underdeveloped lungs. The manager [Name Removed] IS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE to deal with. To add to this, we enquired from manufacturer BABYHOOD Australia via Email, who stated fhat they have always had these cots in stock and nil delays in shipping what so ever.
Looks like Baby direct has a habbit of taking customers money and making them wait longer and then refunding.

If I could give zero stars, I would – I wish I had read the other reviews before making a purchase from this store. I very rarely post reviews but feel obliged to warn others. I bought a Bednest bassinet on a click and collect basis in late December. The website said that the bassinet was in stock. days. After 5 business days, I rang to find out when I could expect to collect the bassinet. I was told that it would be early to mid the following week. That time rolled around, and I hadn't heard anything further. I decided to email so that I would have a paper trail, which turned out to be wise. I emailed to follow up about the bassinet. I was told it would be coming shortly, and then again heard nothing. I emailed asking for a refund. They stopped replying to my emails. I emailed several times. Eventually, some three weeks after I placed the order, they said they would refund me, but then never did. I had to raise a dispute through visa to get my money back, even though I never got the item ordered. Absolutely ridiculous. I also note that the website STILL says that the relevant bassinet is in stock. Tremendously frustrating experience and for nothing, in the end. I ultimately bought the bassinet from Danish by Design, and received it with free delivery and no issues the next day.

Second to none service and great price on cots and prams – We went into baby direct store in hoppers crossing today, the staff were very friendly and patient showing us all the options on cots and prams . We went ahead purchased the cot on the day and we will for sure come back for more items.

They said someone will call us on Monday, no one called again. I called again today, they said maybe end of the month of mid August! It's been 1 month and a week since we bought the cot! And they denied that they said it's available in 1 week's time. Due to Covid, my husband and I has to self isolate once we get tested for Covid 19 and we will have to self isolate until we admit to the hospital! So this has cause us major problem!!! They did not offer free delivery etc on how they will fix this problem!

deceitfulness. Staff were constantly promising things they couldn’t deliver and when I tried to follow up, it was absolutely impossible to get in contact with anyone. One weekend I called both stores 20-30 times with no answer. Then, I asked my partner to call from his mobile number - and they happened to answer the first time. Coincidence? Or were they ignoring my phone calls to not have to deal with the situation? 3 months after ordering furniture and STILL receiving broken promises and lies (but no furniture) we decided we had had enough and wanted to receive a full refund. Again, we could not get in contact with anyone, so had to physically go into the store. We finally received a refund, with no apologies or compensation in any way. They simply did not care. Luckily we were able to go to baby bunting, ordered our furniture and received it within one week, just in time for baby. staff are never helpful, seems to chat to couriers more than actual assist customers.
Floating staff from their apparently sad-looking shelter or back office, are always too occupied to answer simple questions. Yes, always the same girls walking out never making any form of greeting. No names? No problem. You all know who you are, tsk tsk. You're all better off cancelling your laybys. Their "cheap" prices always and often come with big headaches, causing customers anxiety and even affecting their mental health!
Floor staff always chat wth each other or just using computers for everything other than stock checking. Without naming names, one boy pretentiously looks up our order, looks at his woman colleague and tells u its another 3 extra weeks. Putrid.
And the owner or whatever his so-called status is, poorly contends with his own customers. Never taking ownership over this failing business, its no wonder this sad shop always fails to impress even first time shoppers. He makes the most ridiculous promises, never delivers on time, never follows up, just an inflated embodiment of self-entitled ego. Very sad, so sad.
Pros: What now? Cons: Rotten service, no phone answering, no ownership. Just disgracefully staying afloat.

Three weeks later still no call so I called the store to be told the seat wouldn’t be in until early May and asked “would this be a problem” to which I answered yes as my baby was due early May. She then said I could swap from the maxi cosi we had ordered to another brand. I asked for it to be put on hold so we could come have a look at it in the weekend. She was very reluctant to do this but agreed. We went into the store to see the car seat and agreed to the one they had in stock. We were then told that this new seat was $20 more and we would need to pay the difference as it “was a better seat” they refused to waive the $20 even when we pointed out all of the above. I would not recommend this store and definitely will not be shopping with them again
Wish I could rate 0 stars – We ordered a cot in 2017 for our baby. At the end of 2018 we assembled this cot. The cot is faulty and after countless emails and calls they will not replace it or fix it. Stay away!!
