Never buy from this store – Still waiting for item to be sent. They are extremely slow at returning emails and couldn't tell me when I could expect my item. This store doesn't actually have stock, just orders from their 'suppliers'. Waited 2 weeks now and still nothing. Please read these reviews and don't purchase from this store. Not worth the hassle.

Do not buy anything at babyshopdirect: They violate consumer rights – Bought 2 pieces of Tasman Eco furniture of https://www.babyshopdirect.com.au/ Never buy from this store. The total cost of the furniture was well over $1000. Both pieces arrived damaged. This is furniture for a 6 month old baby! A bookcase had the rear cross beam split and the back leg separated so it was going to fall or separate further if it bore any weight.

As per AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW the first constitutes a major fault (it has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying it if they’d known about it; it is unsafe; it is significantly different from the sample or description; it doesn’t do what the business said it would, or what you asked for and can’t easily be fixed) where only refund or full replacement is acceptable, the second bookcase could constitute a minor fault so repair is also an option. I wrote to babyshopdirect and gave them the details, photos, and these options as soon as the faults were discovered. 1 month later they have refused to do more than send a replacement draw which won't work because the chest is smashed internally and have done nothing about the bookcase. They offered me $100 back. For unusable and dangerous children's furniture that cost over $1000 in total this is ridiculous.

Damaged Product! Terrible customer service! Never again!! – It took them 2 weeks to ship my product after I emailed them to chase them up about where my product was. The product was all covered in dust (inside its box!!) and all scratched. Sent them photos and asked them either to replace the product or give my money back.. Been waiting for another 2 weeks. No resolution! Will take them to Consumer Affairs.. Wish i read this page before I purchased from them. Will never buy from them again..

receiving my order confirmation I did not hear anything for a few days and called to check the progress of my order - I was advised that they were waiting for an item to come from another warehouse and they gave me my tracking number. My order arrived a couple of days later - perfect!

My only complaint was that I did not receive a shipping notification but when I called, the assistant said that it was unusual as they were usually automatically generated. But overall - great experience.

Positive buying ecperience – I purchased a car booster seat for my son, that I wasn't able to get anywhere else. The price was fantastic and customer service was great I received my order in 7 working days. Very happy with my purchase and customer service.

Wish I had read reviews fist – I ordered an item two months ago, after many excuses and no forthcoming contact I am now ready to report tham to Consumer affairs. They obviously do not have the stock they advertise, and took the money as soon as I placed the order , this has been the most stressful purchase on the net . I would advise anyone not to buy through this store .

Worst online experience ever!!! – Ordered bed set for my friend on 26th April 2015 still they have not even sent me the item over a month later. I've emailed several times and it has still not been sent, had to buy her something else...wonder if my order will ever be sent???

Horrendous customer service, extremely slow sending items. Stay away! – I made an order 6 weeks ago, still have not received items. I email and request updates, they take at least a week to reply, each time with a new excuse regarding why my items have not been dispatched. Any other business would dispatch within a few days, I'm wondering if they even hold stock. I will never deal with this business again. They are cheaper, but it's not worth the stress, I'm actually wondering if I will ever receive my order!

Slow! not helpful! ridiculous terms and conditions! – Yes, its cheaper. But your baby might outgrow the order by the time it's delivered. It's the third week and i'm still waiting. encounter with australian business that is oh so not helpful.

I suppose if money is important - call their sales team and double check if the item is in stock and could be dispatched pronto. Otherwise - avoid!

Terrible experience – I ordered a cot, only to now be told its out of stock and coming from a supplier, expect it to be 12 weeks. I asked for a refund but they said they will only give 50% of what I have paid back, otherwise I can have a store credit. Customer service is terrible i.e slow to email you back, on hold for ages and unhelpful and rude staff. Ask yourself before you order- Is it worth the hassle??

So slow. Wish I hadn't bothered – The price may have been cheaper than buying the cot in store but it certainly wasn't worth it. It's been more than 2 weeks now and with a baby that has definitely outgrown her bassinet in that two weeks I called and was told "another week or two". Absolutely disgraceful. "Up to 14 days" my backside. Will never buy from them again.

was coming late October. Wasn't too happy as this was 3rd time date changed, I thought a phone call would have been nice. After speaking with not very helpful assistant, purchased a mattress with a discount as i was assured i'd receive my items late October. The last few days felt uneasy & am anxious too get my son into his proper bed, checked my emails now & see another email stating cot won't be in Australia until November 19th THEN ALLOW TIME FOR SHIPPING TOO ME. Not good enough! I clearly stated IF their was any problems AGAIN i wanted a phone call. NOT another email. I am furious. I sent back an email requesting a phone call first thing in the morning too discuss my money back. Surely i will be within my right too receive it back as i have been more then fair in waiting. My son is almost 8 months old although his a smaller bubs he needs a cot now. NOT in another month. If they refund my money i would maybe change my review SLIGHTLY however all the lead up too this i don't think just giving me my money back rectifies the headache & fact now i need too get another cot & fast. Happy! – Wow!!! I take back ever doubting this service, i wrote a review about ordering my item Friday August 1st, and I have just received my chair today, August 5th Tuesday. Very fast service! Exactly and even better as they stated, within less of 3 working days I received my glider chair. Definitely will keep purchasing from Baby shop direct in the near future. Very fast delivery!!!

Unreasonably long wait – I ordered a ergo baby carrier on the 16 May 2014 and only received the order today - 2 MONTHS LATER. I was also offered a play mat for the inconvenience they caused but I have yet to receive it. I definitely will not be ordering from this site again. Terrible service. Competitive prices Extemely long delivery timeframes and terrible customer service

A long long wait – I ordered a twin pram on 7 April having read I could expect delivery within 2 weeks and still have not received it. Each time I call up the timeframe for receiving it extends and I have not been proactively contacted by the company to explain the delays. Very poor customer service ethos. I just hope the pram is worth the wait.

Simple and fast delivery – I purchased a Safety 1st car seat plus a Boori cot with linen, delivery was quick and the price was one of the best I could find on the internet. Postage was combined and reasonable. I probably wouldn't have purchased if I had read the reviews here first which I usually do but I couldn't find that model elsewhere so I purchased anyway. Fast delivery and good communication – I was worried after I ordered our bassinet sheets that maybe I shouldn't have used Baby Shop Direct after reading these reviews, but the transaction was perfect! Ordered on Sunday and sheets arrived on Wednesday (today). Received two emails advising of order and then dispatch times. Found them really good, will use them again and do recommend them! Quick delivery & good communication

Long wait but great price and quality – I think most terrible reviews on here are being pretty unfair. I do agree do not order from here if you need the product within 3 months. However if you are someone like me who orders well ahead of time then having to wait is well worth it to get cheaper stock. I was told they were out of stock (which came as no shock because I read the reviews and the website does say products may not be in stock) and that I would have to wait for them to order it, but having ordered it when I was 5 months pregnant I was not worried. After the first month I emailed the company just asking if they had an update for me, they responded within a couple of hours giving me an estimated date. One month after that email (2 months from the date I made the order) I received an email saying they had received and dispatched my goods with an included tracking number, which arrived the very next day! I was definitely surprised as all other online products I've bought have taken days to arrive after being dispatched. Better yet they had given me an estimate that I would have to wait three months but I ended up only having to wait two.

All in all I received the goods two months after making the order (order was made late December and arrived late February), this I did not mind because I planned ahead and it was well worth the wait to get the price cheaper (I mean what do I need a cot for if the baby isn't here yet?). As well as the customer service being very fast and pleasant. Great prices, good customer service, reliable. Long wait for products but if you plan ahead it isn't a bad thing at all.

Do not order from them, company may not even exist! – If only there was a zero star rating option we could apply here. We made a purchase that never arrived. Tried to contact the merchant via phone and email and had no luck. Only hope that our bank is successful in reversing credit card transactions. We advise all consumers to find another store! Store may not exist, never received goods ordered!

cannot tell you before you pay (thats the tricky part eh) that there is a 14 day (!!) wait for delivery. Heard of computers and inventory management fellows? New invention.

This is totally typical of heaps of suburban shops that set up a website but dont have a clue as to what buyers want in todays day and age. Will never shop with them again. This is why the likes of Amazon and CatchoftheDay are eating aussie retailers for a snack- they are professionals who know what they are doing.

Poor cust service, no idea on whats in stock and the savings are measly anyways

Horrible!! – I ordered 2 Tripp Trapp Chairs on 25 November and have had a number of emails to say that they would be delivered in 5-10 days. Still nothing and now they have stopped responding to my email requests for an update. Don't use this store - is very unreliable and I am yet to get either the chairs or my money back.

Order Never Received – I ordered 2 items from BSD, and received an email after a day saying 1 item wasn't in stock. It's now been 2.5 weeks and not reply from customer service as I'm try to either get the 1 item delivered or cancel/refund but no luck. Very disappointed as I need the product and will now have to buy in a regular baby store. I should have came to this review site first, dumb dumb dumb Item "out of stock" and no ETA on arrival, poor customer service

Absolutely terrible service – Ordered my product 6 weeks ago - still haven't received it. They rarely answer the phone, and never return your call within the time they specify. They advise that your product will be in stock next week and then they will ship it ASAP - but they don't receive the stock. So disappointed. I will never order off these guys again. I am so annoyed.

Very fast delivery! – I went to Pram Warehouse to buy a capsule adaptor for my pram. They didn't have one in stock and said it would be 2-3 weeks before their next order came in. So that night I got onto the computer and came across Baby Shop Direct who was selling the adaptors for a similar price. Less than 48 hours later it was delivered to my door! Good prices, cheap postage, fast delivery

Great service – I ordered my Infa Secure Kompressor on Sunday with Baby Shop Direct but had a change of heart and emailed them on Monday asking if I could change the colour of the seat I had ordered (which was fine). She let me know that both colours I wanted were on back order and wouldn't be available for a few weeks, so I just asked which colours were in stock and went with a black one. It arrived quickly on Wednesday with no problems at all. Cheers

Ordered over 3 wks ago and only just received and email saying its being dispatched! – I ordered a product 1 1/2 wks before I needed it. And 3 1/2 wks on its still not here. Ended up having to buy something similar from our local baby shop. So what I initially saved on the original product, I ended up having to spend double that on something else! Item not in stock, still waiting for it!
