The teens are cooking – The recipes use staples that I already have in my cupboard and best of all my 16 year old son is cooking! We are all really enjoying the meals. ( I especially love the one pan recipes, minimal cleanup. ) ( One tray sticky chicken with fried rice made by the 16yo) Show details · 1

Shopping list makes this app so helpful compared to others – I really like this program and Lyndi's philosophy. I have cooked at least 10 of her recipes already and they are delicious. Some great things about her app: - set how many portions each recipe is for - portion size is very large. My husband and I are often full - uses realistic ingredients you can get from the shops - my grocery list is becoming… Read more · 1
cheaper - easy to cook - meal prep good, especially with her one pan dishes - freshness - lots of notes and suggestions of alternatives - Videos for meal prep and eating mindset - I have asked recipe questions and received responses withing 48hrs
THE BEST THING: My grocery shop time has halved because of this app - I select what I want to cook and how many portions. I then add it to the shopping list. I go through the list and "cross off" all items I already have, sort it by shopping isle category. While I am going to the shops I set it to hide all the 'crossed off' items. As I go through Coles I cross off my list and my shopping list gets smaller and smaller until I have finished. Its fantastic and makes my life so easy! Thankyou
Best recipes: - Healthy sticky date pudding!!!!! Delicious - Mexican Nacho Bake and Mexican Lasagna
Only suggestions: - I would like more meals with meat - my husbands a bit funny with vego recipes - Coles recipe list option
Full disclosure: - I haven't done any workouts yet
Back to Basics has removed a massive mental and physical load from my life – I am IMPRESSED! Back to Basics has removed a massive mental and physical load. I love to plan and prepare but felt a huge weight every week around planning what to eat, what we needed to buy, when I would go to the shop, and preparing and cleaning up. Lyndis recipes offer choice, diversity, and simplicity along with something new to try, and… Read more
new (easy) techniques to learn. I love the efficiency of selecting our meals, popping them on the shopping list, adding the ingredients to my Woolworths cart, and having them delivered while I balance full-time work, part-time study, a social life, and maintaining our home. I find great pleasure in seeing what ingredients have been selected and adjusting my cart to suit our budget and the brands we prefer. I love how Lyndi keeps it real in her meal prep videos: a little spilled food on the bench, mismatched containers, food straight out of the packet, no nonsense but plenty of humour.
Good bye diets and hello life! – I am really enjoying back to basics and it is very affordable compared to a lot of other programs out there that I have tried. The recipes are pretty easy and of course you can have snacks if you want to but the further and further I go into this program I’m snacking less because I’m feeling more satiated at my main meals. The workouts are great… Read more
and I pushing me to get out of my comfort zone and believe it or not I don’t spend all of my days pumping out my workouts I feel like I still have a life and get to enjoy all the things that I want to. For so long with me at least I was very much all or nothing and being part of back to basics is helping me be aware That I don’t have to be like that. Lyndi is fabulous and she is so real and doesn’t pretend and this personally helps me to feel like I can do it and I can fit in. Join join join and just see what you think. The back to basics community is awesome as well and everyone is just trying to do their best and nobody is pretentious like a lot of groups I’ve been a part of in the past!!!

Easiest Lifestyle App! – I love this app. I have studied both a Cert 3 in fitness and diploma in nutrition but still love the ease and access I find with Back to Basics. Many creative options and different workout patterns or styles (Bounce!) Highly recommend it. Show details · 1
Busy Mum – My baby is now 3 months old, and I have an almost 3 year old. Neither of my children like to sleep during the day, and so this is perfect for squeezing in a quick workout when I get a spare 10 or 20 minutes. The videos are great and well explained, but I do find the app difficult to navigate. I also wish there was a way to subscribe to the workouts only, as I don’t want/need the nutrition/recipe section. I couldn't love this program any more if I tried! – This program has been life changing for me! The app is super easy to use and I love the fact I can add my shopping list straight to Woolworths. It makes shopping on a budget so much easier. The food is simple, healthy and quick to make. Show details · 1

Great start – I havnt really tried recipes so can’t review but they look easy enough and well laid out. I found the informative videos where you tick off what you have watched the most useful such a great start when you have no idea what to do! The videos I love that it’s helped me know what exercises I can and cannot do which has given me confidence going to… Read more
the gym. The audio isn’t the best and I also couldn’t see which videos I’ve done/havnt done not sure if I’m just missing that but always useful to know what you have completed. The workout themselves I am enjoying.
Got it for the easy one-pot recipes mainly – - usually have a bit more than “1 serve” - somewhat satisfied but not “full” - haven’t tried the workouts yet - the link from picking a recipe to grocery list to woolies has been glitchy and still takes a bit of editing to get the shop right - have noticed that in some recipes that all the ingredients list isn’t always included in the method… Read more
when you go to make it (I think the recipes > method need a good proof read) - would like clearer timeframes on how long something will keep in the fridge or freezer from time of cooking

Food is delicious and the program is supportive but the technology disappoints – The recipes are fantastic, varied, delicious and easy. The planner is useful - until the planner breaks and all of your recipes I are gone and you’re left with food for the week with no idea what you were going to eat. Show details

Life changing and simple – I’ve dieted for 35 years and to be honest was feeling exhausted by it but I still wanted to make changes. I started examining my emotional drives and relationship to food and as part of this started to take on Lyndi’s advice and downloaded and started using the app. It’s been life changing for me (and in a simple, positive, sustainable way). feel great and my whole attitude has changed. The program is clear, positive, simple and contained. I feel great and am no longer focused on my weight, rather, I’m focused on being healthy and feeling great. There’s no counting and recording and I can’t say what a relief that is.
Loving the pregnancy app – I love the recipes as there is so much variety, they are easy to prepare and they taste so good. There are also air fryer and slow cooker filter options too. It's also really handy as you can save your favourite recipes to easy access them at any time. I am pregnant with bub on the way and I am also enjoying the workouts to help ensure my body is some what prepared and strong for labour. Highly recommend Show details · 1
Every single recipe has been delicious! – I absolutely love the recipes. I love how I just know they’re healthy and don’t have to stress about what’s in them. My confidence in cooking and the frequency of cooking has increased since I joined. Show details · 1

I love this Back to Basics – Back to Basics has a wide range of recipes that are healthy. The bonus is that all of my family have enjoyed every recipe that I have cooked from this app. The shopping list is also extremely handy to stay organised with grocery shopping and enables planning ahead. Makes Cooking Stress Free – I recommend this app to so many people. I love that recipes link directly to my click n collect from woolies (makes life so easy). More vegan and vegetarian options would be ideal, I’m trying to eat less meat but would prefer not to replace meat with cheese, I would much rather more recipes with beans and lentils. I love the meal prep videos,… Read more · 1
these help me stay motivated and show how easy it is to cook the meals, more of these would be great. Overall I can’t recommend this enough and will continue to use it especially if there’s more diversity in the meat free options. I also really enjoy the positive self care attitude towards nutrition (rather than all or nothing mentalities) this has helped me stay consistent.
Love how simple back to Basics is – Love back to Basics & Lyndi's book & anti diet approach to food. Depending on energy, nausea & food aversions during the first trimester able to change recipes and plan as you feel. Show details · 1
Great content, a little tricky to get use to – I love the app. I love the recipes and the workouts. It’s amazing! The food is delicious and easy to make and there are lots of workout options. It can be a bit slow and hard to navigate sometimes. But I love it Show reply
Great family friendly program! – The food is great, easy, family friendly and filling while being kind to the budget and time constraints. The program is easy to follow but honestly I was expecting more of a full plan with breakfast and lunch included. That said, the recipes are easy to swap in yourself. Show details · 1
Such a great, balanced resource – This resource is extensive and all-encompassing. The range of recipes (great for the whole family), and focus on mindset, and at-home exercises are great. I also love the features like ‘add to shopping list’ and videos for the recipes. Show details · 1
Quick and delicious healthy recipes – I love searching through the recipes for meals for the family. The recipes are all filling and the family enjoys them too, the ability to increase and decrease the servings on the app is my favourite part as it adjusts the ingredients for how many people I am cooking for. I hope to be able to use the exercise feature soon as well as the pregnancy option, I've searched through and it has alot of valuable information for pregnant women. Show details · 1
Exactly what I needed – After years of watching the scales and calorie counting I felt awful. I decided to give this a go and my relationship with food has changed so much. I feel healthier, and stronger all while eating tasty food from the recipe selection. Show details · 1

Back to Basics soo helpful and supportive – I am so nervous about this pregnancy but the pregnancy videos helped me feel better about my body and the changes it’s about to go thru. The recipes were simple, quick and healthy with lots of choices that helped me pick lighter options to help keep my morning sickness at bay. The app and Lyndi’s exercise videos are easy to follow and help keep me motivated during pregnancy. Show details
Great content, just tricky to use – I really respect the quality of the content on this app. It is clear how much effort has gone into making sure that the experts that are brought on are well established, industry leaders and that is so great for having confidence in the program, recipes and exercises. The app is so hard to use which is the main drawback for the price that is charged. Show details · 1
Just love this program and the recipes – We are loving the Back to Basics. The recipes are easy to follow, taste amazing and I am find it easy to make double quantities for each meal, and then have meals made for 2 days. As a bonus I've also lost 3kg, just by sticking to the recipes. Haven't tried the workouts yet, as I walk at the beach each day. Show details · 1
Still getting used to it but loving the content so far! – It makes it difficult to access the app when each time I open it it requires me to sign in again (very difficult when my password is generated to be secure and I have to search for it on my laptop before I can get in). I'm enjoying the content but consequently haven't explored it much. I like that I can favourite my recipes and search for those… Read more · 2
easily with the app (much more difficult to find my liked recipes via the website on my computer for some reason). I love that all the recipes are short and easy to follow and that I don't have to dedicate hours to making the meals. I need to try out the exercises as I haven't done this yet but this has always been a hard thing for me even before I was pregnant.
I actually use this multiple times a week – Nearly all recipes have become family favourites, they are full of flavour and are simple enough to get right first go. professionally guided workouts are 20 minutes, so I actually do them! And the support team are easily accessible and so lovely to interact with. Show details
Workouts are great! – I tried a different Pregnancy app before Back to Basics and I can say that I much prefer Back to Basics than the other app. The workouts are really good, I like that there is a range of different workouts that you can choose from and they vary between 10 min or 20 min, they are fun and makes me feel good. I haven't tried any of the recipes yet but… Read more
they do look delicious. I also enjoy the videos for each trimester of pregnancy, they are very informative. I think that overall the app is really good and I am enjoying using the app mostly for the workouts, they are great.
Delicious, easy recipes – The Back to Basics app is great. It has a huge range of easy, delicious and nutritious recipes which make meal planning each week really easy. The recipes can be easily altered to reflect what ingredients I might have available at the time. Lyndi and Les are supportive and very receptive to ideas - I suggested an idea for the app and they did it! Show details · 1
Definitely a time saver for me – I switched to Back to Basics from being on Marley Spoon for a few months. I was looking for an option where I could cook my own food, but much quicker than a Marley Spoon recipe (sometimes I could not be bothered). The recipes are delicious (and simple), and the site is easy to use. I like the link to Woolworths too. I had a problem with accessing the planner for about 24 hours, but it was resolved quickly. Such a great program for a new Mum like me! – I'm loving the videos, education & e-mails explaining the pregnancy expectations and step by step what I might be experiencing. As a new Mum to be it is a great support. Show details · 1
Love it! – The recipes are easy and filling, the app is very nice looking. I would love to see the recipes I have already made under a separate tab (right now when I click on the “I made this recipe” nothing happens.) Show details · 2
Back to basics-pregnancy – Easy recipes to follow and loved the shopping list feature. I’m vegan and found it easy to find things on the app to change up. Great pregnancy exercises. Loved the Pilates Show details · 1
Great food and healthy mindset, slightly clunky app – App was slightly clunky to use but otherwise I love the positive messaging and focus on not dieting but just being healthy. Food was really tasty and easy to make. Show reply
Overall would recommend to a friend – Great workouts and program for use during pregnancy, although the app can be a bit clunky to use at times. Would still recommend to a friend to use during their pregnancy.
