the old mattress was taken away and new mattress installed without a mark on the wall or product. They carefully removed the plastic just before placement onto the bed. They were quick, polite and very efficient. I’m a very happy customer and would not hesitate to recommend the Bed Shed in Kawana.

No Stars from me but one so it shows on reviews – Purchased an insignia Entice mattress it had a discount so price was $1700 (double) I was assured by shop assistant that it was firm and should there be any problems just swap it. it for a mattress without this problem, as per their comfort replacement guarantee. They would change it but I could only have the replacement mattress at full recommended retail price (of which Bedshed never sells at) less the RRP of my original mattress which was 2200 the deficit being $3700!!!! The mattress I would like to change it for is currently in their sale for $2299. This is madness at it finest. I was lead to believe this would be an easy process and was not told of the T & Cs that make a comfort replacement impossible unless you have very deep pockets. Don't throw your money away, feeling ripped off and silly for choosing Bedshed.

Warranty issues – I purchased a Dreamsense Queen mattress around 5/6 years ago. I realised it was sagging so I contacted Bedshed Kawana for a warranty claim and the following happened. 1. They said if I do not sign their warranty terms and conditions, nothing will be done and as there were fees and ridiculous terms, I refused to sign 2. They wanted me to pay $200… Read more
for transportation costs, which I later found out that they had no right to do this due to the size. Any warranty issue transportation costs are the responsibility of the store if the product cannot be transported due to its size, this is from the ACCC 3. They would not allow a warranty person to come out and check the mattress until I signed their terms and conditions 4. There is a perforated tag on the mattress that states if the tag is removed, warranty is void. This is not the case as from the ACCC, but they make the tag perforated so it can be easily removed! 5. Only after I told them I am taking them to court after months of me calling, the owner would never return my calls, and lots of emailing to the store and the wholesaler, Bedco, did they tell me that the fees would be voided, which there should not have been in the first instance. As they have treated my warranty claim this way, I do not want anything to do with them anymore, very stressful for the purchaser to go through. A court date has been scheduled so I can get a refund. I do not recommend purchasing anything from this store and I will never shop there again
'CLERICAL ERRORS' One off? sort it out next week. •Over the next 3 weeks they kept saying yes all good, will organise the 'change' on X day. •Finally get a call and told 'no, the price was an error and was changed quickly'. However I was able to go on all over Easter and see the price as the same. Which I did screenshot and send to friends who were considering beds. •As part of the call the salesman (who knew my husband fell very unwell over easter) asked how he was (this is because I didn't fight the price and tried to be understanding of the error- which I personally did not believe to be an error given it stayed active) To which I responded that it was pancreatitis and was going to go on and say I thought it was like Appendicitis but it's not. However, I wasn't even able to finish that sentence. She literally cut me off half way through and then she says 'Okay, well as you can see the price was an error so we are under no obligation to refund the difference'.
I was so understanding. Didn't argue the point. Tried to be really nice. UNTIL There was fake sincerity and my one sentence was just cut off to repeat the exact same legal quote that had been rubbed in my face like 6 times during the call.
I didn't respond rudely. Ended the fall in the same way it started. Me being polite and not mentioning being cut off.
I sent them an email outlining this dissapointment. I also got a call (which I could not take legally as I was driving) and a text which asked if I had feedback. - Yes feedback available in the detailed email. But no apology. Not even for the way it was the most insincere conversation ever.
Tip: Don't pretend to remember/care about something in a customer's personal life if you didn't care to begin with. Just don't bring it up. I didn't. It's worse to ask a question and cut them off then to never ask.
Interestingly though...These 'clerical' errors seem to be showing up a bit below. I wonder if someone should look into that?

Terrible service – Tried calling about when they were delivering our bed and just got told can’t serve you right now I’m busy. I asked to speak to another person told Im serving 3 other so they are all busy to. The tone and abruptness of the person makes me want to refund my money and give commissions to other better sales folks
kindly donation from store manager kawana bed shed – When told of an invalid lady in marcoola whos house was invaded by mice while she was in hospital for six weeks the manager didnt hesitate to offer a replacement hospital grade mattress free. Very dissapointed – IWe have purchased a king size mattress from Bedshed Kawana. Two times we had to return it because it was not sealed and was faulty . Why pay 2000 Dollars for a Chinese bed because they lie tell you its (made in Brisbane) – Stop don't even go into the bedshed unless you enjoy being lied to and putting your cheap Chinese garbage bed together yourself and doing warranty claims because they are too useless to do what you paid for and as for after sales service them, if I wanted this bed I would have bought it on line for 1080 dollars. current rental is tiny. Yesterday I received a phonecall from the Bedshed about the delivery and I explained that we didn't have any room for the bedroom suite at the moment. The customer service person told me they didn't have the space to keep it, but perhaps for a fee...I said I'd be willing to be the fee, rather than double-handling the furniture, but after she spoke with her superviser the fee-solution was not an option anymore and she insisted that the furniture had to be delivered and couldn't it go in the garage?I was not thrilled at the prospect of parking the car outside for the next three months - and by the way - the hottest months of the year, but I agreed. Fair enough - they didn't have the space. Having said that, "Beds n Dreams" where we bought the new bed for the master bedroom at the same time, have absolutely no issue with holding on to our bed until February. Just sayin'. I know where I would go next time if I needed a bed.
Today I received a telephone call from the delivery driver, advising me of the delivery time. I asked him if the furniture needed to be assembled and if so, if he would do that and he just said gruffly: "No." Not:"Sorry, unfortunately we don't do that,".Just gruffly: "No." I'm usually quite cheerful on the phone and when you get a reaction like that it's like somebody poured a bucket of cold water over your head. I actually got apprehensive about the delivery.
Next I got a phone call enquiring about the address, because apparently they were heading to our new house, or they were there already, and when I explained that they couldn't deliver it there because it wasn't finished yet he started a discussion with me. By now I was getting annoyed and told him it hadn't been MY idea to have the bed delivered today but the Bedshed's, and by the way, our current address is one minute by car from the new house, so I couldn't see why he had to be difficult about it.
The truck pulled up shortly after. In the morning, my teenage daughter and I had managed to clear out some space in the spare room except for a queensize mattress that was supposed to go on the new bed. However, only after she had left for school did I realise that the mattress prevented the door of the room from opening completely and when the driver brought the first item up it was difficult because the door wouldn't open all the way. I apologised and went to the mattress to start moving it half a meter, thinking he was going to help me, but he just turned around and went back down the stairs, and leaving me to struggle with the mattress, which I then left where it was, because I couldn't handle it on my own. This guy certainly does not engage with the customers and I guess you have to pay extra to get a smile. When he left our house for the first time in my life did I let somebody out of my house without saying "Bye" or "See you". I couldn't close the door after him quickly enough.This guy managed to spoil an occasion that's supposed to be exciting and happy. We spent several thousand dollars on this bedroom suite and I sit here and feel bad about the way it was received.
Luckily we are not dependent on the Bedshed for new beds, because Snooze and 40 Winks are right next door to the Bedshed Kawana, and I won't even give the Bedshed a glance when I go shopping for more beds.
For customer service I would give them 1 star because - after all - they did carry the furniture upstairs. I haven't unpacked the bed yet but the second star is for that.
