I'm being generous with my rating of 3/5. Bad points outweigh the good – I only purchased this fridge because I was stuck with a 900mm cavity in the house I purchased which limited my options for a refrigerator. I would not choose to buy this brand or refrigerator again if I had an alternative. The good: - It's been running perfectly for 3.5 years and is still quiet. - It has always maintained a good temperature… Read more

and nothing has ever frosted up on me.

- The size and design would suit a single person or couple.

- The ice maker deposits ice cubes into a tray within the freezer drawer which is perfectly fine.

The bad:

- The ice maker mechanism broke just after 2 years. I found pieces of styrofoam broken inside the ice cubes and then realised it was no longer making ice. Ofcourse this had to happen just before Christmas day when all the guests were at my place ... and then the only Beko approved serviceman in my part of Melbourne was already on holidays. I then had to wait literally weeks and weeks until he came to see me and fix it. The repair cost me around $400 for parts and service. The fridge was 2 years old. Not happy.

- There are only a few Beko approved service providers which resulted in me having to wait weeks for service opposed to other companies who would have been at my place within a few days.

- The left leaf of the fridge door has a latching mechanism which, if the right leaf of the fridge closes first can stop the tongue latch of the left leaf from latching and closing properly. This has resulted in our fridge being left with the door ajar multiple, multiple times overnight or all day. This design sucks - particularly with kids or visitors who don't know about this stupid fault.

- The fridge is not armed with a freezer alarm - hence ... freezer drawer can be left ajar slightly and you have no idea. Yes, my entire freezer drawer contents have been defrosted numerous times over the past 3 years. Extremely annoying and expensive.

- The water filter is a pain in the behind to a) buy and b) install. Again, the filter is only available through the local approved serviceman who then takes weeks to get out. I've had water filters in fridges for the past 15 years and have never experienced this problem until Beko. The last time he was here I asked him if I could just buy a few of them and do them myself and he said it didn't "work that way" and to just call him every time I wanted a new one. Just ridiculous.

In addition, a new water filter starts running the water at normal speed but within 2-3 weeks slows the water release down to a dribble. This is a pain in the neck to fill a glass of water let alone a water bottle.

Overall :

Temperature and fridge design good ..... overall practical design, serviceability and overall experience ..... TERRIBLE.

AWESOME Fridge for the price – This fridge was purchased recently from JBHIFI and it has been a real hit in our house. The other people complaining about it being noisy must have super hearing? Anything with an engine is going to make some sort of noise. This fridge is a lot quieter than our old Westinghouse by a long way. The only thing that makes a bit of noise is when… Read more

the ice is being dropped from the ice machine. You also hear a noise of the water filling up as well. The fridge and freezer hold their temperatures extremely well. The water on tap is amazing. I do understand what people are saying about the shelving though. They seem to be a little close to each other, so I took one out to give me some height inside. The freezer has plenty of space, I really did not like the idea of have a drawer opening on the freezer. But I LOVE it. The BLUE light technology in the food crispers really WORKS a treat. The light is on 24/7 and keeps your fruit and veg fresh up to 30 days. I thought this was a gimmick, but I was proven wrong. I placed a fresh tomato in the crisper when we purchased the fridge, 3 1/2 weeks later, I could still eat it. Lettuces also keep a long time. BEKO is a good brand, and a great price point. They have been in Australia for approximately 5-6 years now, and most of the products are made in Turkey. Great stuff BEKO. Thankyou

Good Fridge but some Noise problems – The Fridge maintains good temperature in fridge and freezer compartments. It is very roomy and has good features such as Holiday mode etc as well as cold water dispenser. One MAJOR issue is the Compressor relay, this makes a loud humming sound while the compressor is running. I have had it replaced twice in 2 years and each time they put the same… Read more

type of relay in, as an Electrician I have advised them it is a relay problem. I await their reply as it has gone again at time of me writing this review.

Best fridge – Quiet fridge Super efficient and amazing cooling quality. Love the blue light in crisper and french doors. So much space 610L, excellent draw space for dairy, veg, meat. Double door gives us great access and view to all products in our fridge. Would recommend beko to all friends and family.  Show details

Noisy Refrigerator – This refrigerator has intermittent noise which kicks in for around 15 Minutes. The noise is very loud and BEKO need to do something about it other than just get repair people out each couple of years as it is obviously a design/performance fault. I would not buy a BEKO again  Show details

Beko fridge – Good fridge plenty of shelf space. Very happy with it. It keeps food fresh and icey cold. Freezer could do with more space but fridge excellent. Very happy with and massive difference from my old Samsung fridge. If freezer had more space then definitely 5 stars good Job beko.  Show details ·  1

Can't even fit tomato sauce bottle let alone a beer! – Bought thus fridge because it was the only French door with water/ice that would fit in our opening. Quality is ok but the door always jams and hard to close. The worst thing is the main shelves. There is 3 shelves and only 2 adjustments per shelf, no matter how to use set it you cant fit a standard size tomato sauce, any beer bottle (other than… Read more

a twist top) and because It only has 2 small door shelves you don't have anywhere to put these taller items. I have to store them laying down so if someone doesn't tighten thr lid, we would get leaks everywhere.

Great fridge great value for money – I had hired this fridge from RT Edwards and after 2yrs of the fridges incredible good service I decided to buy it outright. It has fantastic cooling settings for different compartments. I am 70yrs and find the ice maker in the lower freezer drawer no problem to use. I like the cold water dispenser and find the fridge comartment huge and precooked… Read more

turkeys ducks leg hams at Christmas easily fit in. Sure the smaller upper shelving space in the doors is small but perfect for medicines heart tablets etc. The multiple settings on the front door are easy to use once you have consulted the hand book. I live by the ocean and have had no rust problems, no shelves broken and all hand marks are easily wiped of the stainless steel like services. I have no hesitation in recommending this fridge to friends or strangers. Value for money? Absolutely! Would I buy this product again? Yes!

I gave it a 5 star rating for what is not for what it isn't. Ice dispensor? No but ice maker delivering ice into the bottom freezer drawer, yes. Noisy? It is a large capacity fridge/freezer I live on the Gold Coast and the fridge is used constantly, cold drinks, ice, milk , vegies and fruit, meats, icecream. Doors open close open close almost 24hrs a day…..Noisy yes just a little, but hey….it is working overtime I can live with a little constant humming in the background………Easy to clean? Yes just take everything out and clean….whats hard about that?

Enjoy lifes to hard already to grumble about the little things.

Do Not Buy This Fridge – We bought this fridge not even 2 months ago. It is already at fault, the fridge has completely stopped cooling and is flashing lights. We have had troubles with it since we purchased it. Called Beko the customer service was a joke, the lady was so rude told me I would be contacted within 24 hours and still no call. All our food has to be now… Read more

thrown out as we don't have a back up fridge to accommodate.

We will be heading in to where we bought this product for a full refund. Also I will mention, when you do buy this fridge open up all compartments and make sure they work and aren't broken. As it was a new fridge we didn't even think, cleaning out the drawers a couple of weeks later one had a big crack in the back and the piece was actually missing so it was clearly done in the warehouse. So disappointing. Do not buy this fridge!

Crappy and Rusty – We purchased this fridge 2 years and 2 months ago for our new home. It is very noisy when it is running, we have to turn the television up to hear over the noise. I have just discovered rust spots all over the doors and draws but as it is 2 months out of warranty, nothing will be done. The stainless steel finish is far from stainless and every finger print and mark shows up, and now we have the rust as well. Stay well away from this fridge

Great Fridge – Purchased the fridge nearly a month ago, so far it has been great. Plenty of room, good features and excellent value for money. Excellent fresh produce chillers, love the freezer draws, handy water dispenser. Door storage is a little limited especially some of the small shelves. Makes ice cubes which it deposits in a container in the lower freezer… Read more

draw, handy and easy to access. The water dispenser provides chilled water but not cold, no real issue with that as it's very handy and saves opening the fridge to access a water jug. Runs very quietly and is a nice looking appliance. Overall very pleased with the purchase.

Love the Fridge – However, unable to take out crisper draw, doors are uneven and need to be adjusted. Call Customer Care to have issues fixed and they said they would call back in 24 hours, well, three calls later we got a response, have to take a day off and lose $400. The sale person at JB Fi said it was the best customer service you can have, well I beg to dither on this.

Does not 'dispense' ice, only water – I bought this refrigerator after viewing it on the floor of the retailer. I stated to the salesperson that what was on the top of my list of needs was a fridge that made crushed ice as my Maytag, which had just died after only 9 years due to compressor failure, had a good ice dispenser and crusher and I liked to make smoothies with crushed ice. … Read more

The salesman wasn't sure but the buyer for the fridges who was in the store gave a glowing account of the Beka machine and assured me that it did indeed make crushed ice. Unfortunately I didn't check out this misinformation. After delivery and setup I read the manual and could not find any reference to crushed ice or even an ice dispenser. It had a water dispenser. It had an ice making unit installed in the bottom freezer drawer which made cubes and released them into a holding tray. To use these cubes, one had to open the bottom freezer drawer and scoop them out. This seemed only a small step better than just using ice cube trays. I phoned Beka and they confirmed that none of their fridges make crushed ice. The fridge was also noisier than I thought it should be, but in all fairness, it could have just been going through the initial cooling because it was only operating about 6 hours before I unplugged it and returned it. I bought an LG, after confirming that it did indeed make and dispense both crushed and cubed ice. The LG has been quieter already in its running and is making cubes and crushed ice as it is supposed to. The Beka seemed expensive for what it offers and also in comparison to the features on the LG which I bought in its place. I gave this 3 stars because I did not keep it long enough to rate any other features. The French doors feature allows one to see everything in the fridge. Bottom drawer freezers are awkward for older people or people with bad knees or backs. The ice maker does not dispense.
