Disappointed, but it looks nice from the outside! – Have always highly recommended this fridge to everyone in the Facebook groups I'm in. We have an issue with the seals (which seems like a common fault), and despite Harvey Norman ringing their representative and him assuring us it would be under warranty, Mitsubishi have said nope, sorry! Won't be recommending it anymore. I don't see them taking… Read more

accountability for their design fault so I would hate to persuade someone to buy this expensive fridge and then be in my position in 2 years.

Mitsubishi will not guarantee the Seals on a 2 1/2 year old fridge – We loved our fridge/freezer. Quiet and looked good but then one of the door seals split. We contacted Mitsubishi were told that they consider that the broken seal is fair wear and tear! Show details

Not made to last!!! – I bought this fridge in 2016 and purposely choose Mitsubishi because my family has been using their fridges for over 4 decades. I also chose this fridge because at that time, it was newly launched and considered top of the line. However, right after my warranty expired at 5 years (legal warranty of 2 years + bought extended warranty of 24 months),… Read more

the fridge started to break apart. First off, the silicon seal tore off. Luckily it was an internal drawer seal and so I used Su-gru to stick it back. Tonight however, the plastic rail of the freezer drawer broke off. Why is it plastic and not metal? I had put my frozen drumsticks in and two pieces of plastic came flying off. (Pictures show my freezer drawer was only ¾ full, what the drawer rail should look like, and what it looks like after breaking off. I'm extremely disappointed that a fridge only lasts last and starts falling apart internally. I can't even replace these parts e.g., I could buy a new drawer but this is part of the fridge's main structure. My last fridge was an LG and lasted 13 years and even moved across continents!

7 months now and over all its been good. Preferer the larger 710 but was too tall for our kitchen – Had this fridge for 7 months now and over all its been good. Preferer the larger 710 but was too tall for our kitchen. temperature control is small issue, set to max to get it down to 3 - 4 deg, only a calibration problem but still should have been set at factory. limited adjustment of glass shelving means removal of shelf only option for larger… Read more

items, doors shelving ok (not an issuse on the taller 710 model). was quiet when new, now a bit more noisier but still not a problem. Comparing to my old 27 year old westinghouse, unfortuantly westinghouse have made some poor quality fridges recently and reliabilty is my main focus, hence i am trying the mitsubishi with its 5/10 year warranty. Be aware the freezer is small. Freezeer gross vol 230l but storage vol 121l, not good for bulk buying. Does keep fruit and vegies fresh long time. glass front easy to clean. great lighting and deep draws with good runners and a power saving. I am very fussy but overall still happy with fridge compared to what was available with our size constraints

Can't beat it for quiet running – Purchased this fridge 2 1/2 months ago as our then fridge/freezer was becoming extremely noisy when starting up. So far, very impressed by how quiet this fridge is. Can barely hear it running and because it is an inverter fridge, there are no loud start-up noises apart from the very occasional refrigerant 'gurgle". It has ample space in the fridge… Read more

(my previous side-by-side fridge had very narrow shelves) and the humidity control on the crisper seems to work very well, once you have worked out how to set it. Plenty of strip lighting within the fridge as well so items are easy to see. There is supposedly specialty lighting in the crisper to preserve fresh produce for longer, but can't really say if actually works or just a gimmick. The fridge/freezer temperature controls are integrated into the door panel, so very unobtrusive and also very easy to use. The handles are also integrated into the doors, so no messy finger marks all over the doors - provided of course you use the handles! Because the unit has a glass front, you can even write your shopping list or notes on it! It took almost 24 hours to get the freezer to the right temperature but since then it has maintained a consistent temperature in both the fridge and freezer (used a thermometer to check for about a week). When the unit was delivered one of the seals was warped and didn't fit properly on the freezer door. The Mitsubishi rep was there within a day to deliver a new seal, so excellent service from the local dealer as well. My only minor grumble, like all modern fridges, there is lots of plastic. This unit is also extremely economical to run and we have noticed a reduction in our power usage (have an app to check daily usage). The 5 year warranty on the entire unit (not just the motor) is also a good selling point. Overall, a great fridge.

Surprisingly very spacious! Don't know why they call it "Mini" – We're so happy we bought this fridge/freezer. After doing much research into getting the biggest fridge that would fit into the recess of our new home, that also had a good energy rating, we went for this beauty. Most were too tall for the recess we have. The 5 year warranty was also one of the deciding factors. The sales rep did go into a lot of… Read more

detail about how good all of the working parts and components are. I was very impressed at the time (but don't ask me to repeat it, too hard to remember all that stuff). He was actually talking about all Mitsubishi Electric fridges. We hadn't actually seen this in person. I had done a lot of research regarding all of the well known brands and a lot on this brand. So, with only having seen pictures of it, we took a chance and it paid off. This is a smart looking fridge. The glass looks amazing and is easy to clean, no finger marks to constantly try to get rid of. I love the stylish finger grips at the bottom of the fridge doors and top of the freezer doors to open them, clean lines, no handles. The LED lighting inside looks gorgeous too. I am surprised at how much I can fit into it as well. We only have 3 of us in the house, but I do like to cook for 4-6 because I love "left over" nights and I also freeze meals. The deep compartments inside the doors are spacious too. On the right side, I can fit 3 two litre milk bottles and a 1 litre almond milk on the one shelf! I've never liked the milk in the door before (since I read once that it is the warmest place in the fridge), but it's really cold in this fridge. Very happy with it there. The vegetable drawer is really big, with the humidity regulator and the special light at the back of it, the veggies have stayed more fresh for longer compared to our previous fridge. The other drawers are also handy for fruit and small goods such as cheese and cold meats. One downfall with the fridge is that if you have anything tall to put in it, such as a tall cake, the shelves won't accommodate it. But, that's the only thing that I can fault, the really wide shelves are great if you have a tray of food. So I think this compensates for lack of a lot of height. Tall bottles can go in the door. It keeps an even temperature throughout the whole fridge. It's very easy to program it down to a fine detail too. There are simple selections or you can go into a more precise temperature, it's all in the easy to read manual. It runs very quietly too. We hardly hear it. I love the french door freezer compartments. The drawers hold a lot of food, also a nice surprise. You open one side or the other, or both. I like that I don't have to open the whole freezer to get one thing. We wanted a fridge that didn't need plumbing but also made ice cubes with an ice tray drawer directly under the ice trays. So easy to install and a lot less problems with this system. Once you get into the habit, you have plenty of ice at hand. So, in conclusion, we're very happy with the brand, style and functionality of this fridge freezer and would highly recommend it to family and friends.

Great fridge so far. Very quiet, effectively cold – We bought a Mitsubishi 650L fridge from E and S. It is very spacious, amazingly quiet and has easy touch screen controls. It is also a magnificent looking appliance. brilliant. Update, 12 months later. My wife has an organic garden so this fridge has been ideal for storage of her produce. I taught Product Design in High Schools, and this fridge has shown strength and durability in terms of the materials used, and has not missed a beat mechanically. Initially, I was concerned about the glass doors, but they have proven to be strong and easy to clean. The temperature settings are reliable in all compartments. It also has a great appearance. I can't fault it.

Beautiful Big Fridge – We have had the 650l Mitsubishi for about a month now. It was very easy to set up and install. The interior is bright and it's easy to see everything, and I find it well laid out. Nothing feels flimsy. It is very quiet, you can hardly hear it. Show details

Noisy internal fan – Mitsubishi Fridge/Freezer MR-L650EN-GBK-A Looks good, works well, however there is a constant humming/whistling noise like a car engine fan, never stops. Can even hear the humming noise in the background when the led tv volume is on level 10. Very annoying. I was told its a very quiet fridge. I am disappointed at Mitsubishi Fridge – I did research and thought I bought a top fridge 2 years ago. However I now really regretted the decision. Reasons are 1. the material Mitsubishi is using for their fridge and freezer is really sub standard as the panel/track for the drawers in the freezer broken after one and half years as well as the ice making tray 2. The ice making tray was… Read more

swapped under warranty however the panel/track apparently can't fixed unless the whole fridge is changed 3. I tried to trace up the customer service again and had no answer 4. Through the process, though the fridge is under warranty, however, I spent a lot of time chasing different parties 5. I have had other brand fridge for many years yet never had any issue like internal plastic broken. I feel the material Mitsubishi is using does not sustain the low temperature plus the weight of the actual food.

Extremely disappointed and definitely not worth the hassle.

Amazing Fridge, lots of space and QUIET – Aesthetically pleasing, lots of different sized compartments, very quiet to run and the blast chiller option on the Fridge & Freezer is really handy. Awesome fridge – I'm someone who researches everything almost to the extreme before buying. Was looking for the best energy efficient fridge to fit in the space I had. This one fit well (most fridges are too tall nowadays, and I have a cupboard above), except it's quite deep, but no deeper than most newer fridges. Pretty challenging to get it in the front door… Read more

because of this, but eventually got there. It's a very pretty fridge, easy to keep clean. But you can't put magnets on the front (can on the side) due to the glass doors. But, I can use it as a whiteboard instead! I initially didn't enjoy the French doors, as previously I'd had a 700lt side by side, and had been used to that. But once you rejig how you use the space inside, put all the frequent used items on the right, and the rest on left, it's pretty good. Two things I didn't like are that I cannot adjust the heights of neither the shelves nor the tubs on the inside of the doors, and that the shelf went the whole way across the fridge, meaning that if you were able to adjust shelves, the entire width of shelf would have to alter, not just half. The other thing is that if you open the left door only, after a while it doesn't seal properly, and the fridge runs excessively. This is due to the way the doors close and seal. You have to open the right side if you want to access the left side. And you have to shut the left side before the right. Initially an issue, but you get used to it. If you don't, the seals don't sit flat and then become set in the way they sit, and so no longer seal properly. Hence putting your frequent use items on the right, so only opening one door most of the time. Not a fan of the freezer drawers initially, but now think these are awesome and it's amazing how much you can fit in them. The very best thing of all? Saving 20% on my energy usage for my entire house just by changing my fridge. Absolutely astounding! I have downloaded my usage for an equivalent amount of time the same time last year compared to this year and analysed. You do also have to get used to the fact it does not work like a normal fridge. It seems to be running a lot, but this is because it uses inverter technology. It also encourages you to organise yourself better to some extent. Would I buy it again? You bet.

Best Fridge value for money – Purchased this fridge and haven't been able to fault it. Great Fridge – Love the look, style and convenience of this fridge/freezer. One small complaint in opening and closing doors on occasion if both open at the same time, need to close one before the other so they fit properly and I often forget which comes first right or left but a minor design glitch. Easy to use and clean and keeps food at easy to control temp winter or summer. I would recommend this unit.  Show details

Its a good fridge except for one standout issue – We bought this fridge as we needed more width in a fridge, our current side by side just wasn't cutting it. We bought from Harvey Norman on special, all good. A few months after using, its a good fridge, quiet, economical, etc BUT the stainless steel doors dent REALLY easily, like the slightest tap with an object dents the panel! it seems to be quite thin. Apart from this, its a good fridge.  Show details

Maybe not perfect, but pretty close – Firstly - does it do the job? Yes. It maintains a good temperature in both the fridge and freezer compartments, no excessive moisture, and the fruit/veggies stay fresh for a decent amount of time. It is also remarkably quiet, and (although I was initially not sure about the black bar in the centre of the stainless steel) it looks really good.… Read more

There is no built in water dispenser (a positive in my mind as they are a pain to keep clean, take up space, and frequently need expensive filters replaced. The ice maker is manual, but does the job. It's made in Thailand rather than Japan, but really well put together so I am confident it will last.

Issues - after 6 months only one. I've found that if you open the left door *slowly*, there is a chance that the flap that is used to seal the gap between the left & right hand side doors does not fold down completely. The result is when closing the left door, if the right door is already closed, the flap can hit the outside of the right hand side door and prevent it from closing. It doesn't happen all that often, but it does happen and I suspect could lead to the flap itself being damaged eventually. If the door is opened quickly, then the issue never happens.

Other than that, no issues. Some general comments - it is the 'mini' which means I would have loved to get the extra fridge shelf space the larger version has..... but the taller fridge would not have left enough space overhead for cooling (this beastie needs 10cm - a lot more than some manufacturers) so had to go the mini. Saying so, the freezer size is the same as the larger model and the fridge compartment is still big compared to most other fridges. If you can fit the fridge in your kitchen (10 cm gap overhead, 6 cm gap behind, and 3cm either side) I'd definitely consider the bigger version. Oh, when installing, the plastic feet protectors took some time to figure out how to actually fit properly. It would also be nice if the display could show the actual temperature rather than what it is set to. I know they should be the same, but still.

In short - a fantastic fridge. Highly recommended.

#Update - 2 years on, and still going strong. Nothing has broken. The weird issue with the door flap we have in general got used to. There is always the risk that one of the teenagers will slam the door and damage the flap, but it hasn't happened - yet. All in all, still very happy with the purchase.
