The Wellness Plan gives me such peace of mind when it comes to Lucifer. Knowing his vet visits are covered takes away the financial stress, and having access to a whole network of clinics makes it so easy if we ever need to see a different vet.

We signed up for Best for Pet when we joined our local Vet West with our golden retriever puppy and it was the best decision we could have made for her. We have pet insurance too, but this gave us that bit extra reassurance and boy have we made use of it. Tilly is 5 months old now and we have had 4 In person vet consults in that time due to a… Read more ·  1

stomach upset, as well as accessing the 24/7 vet virtually on 2 occasions when we were worried she’d eaten something she shouldn’t have, aswell as 2 appointments for her vaccinations. In 2.5 months it has already paid for itself for the year, and some!! It’s a fantastic service and gives us so much peace of mind for our fur baby ❤️

The wellness plan has given me peace of mind to know I can get personal advice and bring my pet in whenever I am concerned. Max had his yearly vaccination a few weeks ago and we discussed other minor concerns about behaviour too. Show reply

We absolutely love our wellness plan for Daisy, it’s great piece of mind, but very affordable and actually better value for what you end up paying per year. Also a great option for dogs that can’t be insured or don’t need all the other extras but the routine stuff! Love it! Show reply

Had we not been on the Best for Pet Wellness Plan and received the newsletter about the Winter Health Check we would never have known that our 10 year old Freddy had Diabetes.. Our Vet, Dr Arianna, has been incredibly kind and knowledgable keeping us informed from first visit to diagnosis with a Freestyle Libre sensor. With the rising costs on living we nearly didn’t stay on a wellness plan, so glad we did. Show 2 replies

After my beautiful ten year old cat Alfie was rushed to emergency care for kidney stones I was overwhelmed with the cost of his vet stay and I worried about all the future checkups he’d need. He has FHV, anxiety and potentially has kidney disease with a very weak immune system so ongoing vet visits were definitely guaranteed. I was stressed… Read more ·  1

financially so I asked my vet about Best for Pet and since signing him up to their wellness plan I have saved over $400 and feel so much happier knowing I can take him to the vet and that the $50 a month plan will cover all those costs. Best for Pet covered one of his blood tests and urine tests which was also amazing and the discount on the teeth clean he’ll need later this year will be a massive help. I’d highly recommend Best for Pet for anyone who has a pet with reoccurring illness! And I’ve spoken to their customer service team a few times and they’ve been really helpful : )

It is a valuable program for pets. It covered my dog's dental treatment, vaccines, consultations and nail clippings, it saves us on all these costs for the last 3 years. I will recommend this program to all my friends for their pets. Show reply

Definitely value for money with claims being available immediately and on items you actually use on normal vet visits. A big help when you want the best for your pet but have to factor in if you have enough money now or need to save up. Show reply

Signing up for the Best for Pet Wellness Plan when I got my puppy has been one of the best decisions I've made. I've saved hundreds already just on vaccinations, health checks, and all the essentials that come with those busy first few months of puppyhood. Even the vet said it was "better than a staff discount!" It gives me such peace of mind… Read more ·  1

The cost of insuring our dog, now a senior, became too much for us. We cancelled the insurance and switched to Best for Pet Wellness plan. So far, it has been excellent. I have already recommended it to several friends. Show reply

Follow-up  · Our dog, Butch, turns ten soon. We had to make an economic decision two years ago to drop pet insurance as it became way too expensive and was not proving worth it. With the Pet Wellness plan we have peace of mind that Butch's day to day health care, such as dental checks, claw clipping and all regular vaccinations, is covered. The Hamilton Vet… Read more

With two older dogs we are always at the vet. My cavoodle Raffa is 13 and diabetic so I can take him more often to keep on top of his health and not worry about the extra $$ for consult fees. Highly recommend ! Show reply

Follow-up  · Our local vet is registered with Best for Pets so the vets care and Raffa’s history is all at the one clinic. All staff know us so we always get the best care. Booking appointment can be made directly through the clinic or via the Best for Pets website (it’s easy!!)

Fantastic policy for when you have 4 fur babies or more than 1! and can't afford an expensive insurance policy. B4P offers so much, vaccinations unlimited vet visits even nail clipping which insurance companies do not include. And all for only $40… Read more ·  1

aprox per pet. I think $44 for the first then the next are $40 each. But that beats $500 a month, which I used to pay for my fur family! I figure I can save my own money for the bigger bills, not give it away for nothing. Thanks B4P!!!!!

Follow-up  · Still the same excellent and generous add ons, like free nail clipping, annual blood tests and most vaccinations. Such a valuable policy for an early retiree with 4 furry babies! I completely endorse this product, however am not recommending ignoring proper insurance. It's just that Best4Pets gives you so much more for less,so you can then save up… Read more

do wish it helped with medication as that is a big expense at vet for her 2 tablet medication month worth & 1 injection it would cost me close to $500 but when I get it online her tablets cost me $210 then $50 at vet for pain injection.

Thank you for this amazing pet insurance cover that has been a real benefit especially over the time that our dearest cat Callie has aged. Knowing that some of the financial burden was covered by this pet insurance made her veterinary care all that better to access. Show reply

Not proper insurance. The only vet that accepts it is useless when needed the most and despite having a lapsed/inactive subscription that expired, they are still trying to charge and want $500 for me to cancel it. It is not worth it, get real proper insurance so you are covered for everything and everywhere.

The Best for Pet sign up page does not state that it is a yearly contract. It has two options for payment - monthly and yearly - and I chose monthly. Then when I tried to cancel because it does not cover what it said it would cover, I was told that I cannot do it because it is a yearly contract. I WAS NOT INFORMED OF IT WHEN I SIGNED UP AT ALL.… Read more

The staff at the affiliated vet pretended to not know about the yearly contract, and then when I contacted Best for Pet, they said "We are sorry that the staff did not inform you". When I asked the vet staff, they said "We are sorry that Best for Pet did not inform you." This is clearly a collaboration. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

We joined best for pets after finding out most insurance companies did not cover our breeds for their most important medical needs. Best for pets is a great go between in my opinion as they offer contribution and discounts for annual check up, vaccines, food and dental. We aren't worried about the cost of emergency visits as consultations are covered. Show reply

I have been a best for pet member for over 5 years & have recommenced to several friends who are now also best for pet members. The plan is excellent year after year. Good value with many features that save you a lot of money. Even great for senior dogs or cats. I have recommended to my poodles breeder. Great customer service. Show reply
