Greencross Vets generally receives high praise for its compassionate and professional care, particularly during end-of-life services and routine check-ups. While the majority of feedback is positive, there are significant recurring concerns regarding administrative negligence, misdiagnosis in complex cases, and communication failures regarding treatment consent.

Greencross Vets is a reliable choice for routine preventative care, minor procedures, and compassionate end-of-life support, with the Healthy Pets Plus plan offering excellent value for regular users. However, for complex medical issues or chronic conditions, consumers should be vigilant regarding documentation and ensure all treatment consents are explicitly confirmed in writing to avoid diagnostic or financial errors.
I just want to say that having had less than satisfactory experiences at Greencross Vets located at Pimpama and Oxenford, we have now found an amazing Greencross Vet at Upper Coomera Queensland. The whole staff are top notch. The reception staff, the wonderful nurses and then, thank God for Dr Stuart our vet. He is second to none in both his… Read more
manner, his care and his knowledge .I had given up on Greencross to be honest until Dr Stuart started practice at Upper Coomera. We have an 18 year old Maltese named Mickey who is in the last stages of his lovely little life and we couldn’t ask for better care for him. We also have Benji dog and Aslan cat and we know that they are all in the best hands. Thank you Stuart and your lovely staff who are also a pleasure to speak to. It’s a good feeling to receive calls from the staff to ask how Mickey is going. God Bless and thank you.
I recently had to say goodbye to my little Shih Tzu x Maltese boy of 13 years at the Macedon Ranges Woodend Green Cross Vet practice. The care and love I received was beautiful. When I arrived I was met by a vet nurse who took me around the side of the building so I didn’t have to go through the reception area. A room was all prepared for the… Read more
final goodbye. Dim lighting, candles and a quiet serene atmosphere. The nurse explained everything to me with so much compassion and the vet Dr Chloe came in to check my baby and explained the procedure. Everything was done with so much understanding of what a fur baby parent is going through at this sad time to make the last moments for me with my baby as smooth as possible. After the final breath was taken they left me to say my final goodbyes alone and was told to take as long as I needed. I could then leave out a side door and go back to the car without being seen by other clients or staff. When I eventually left the nurse came out to me to check on me to make sure I was alright. I was so grateful for the sympathetic and empathetic understanding from these wonderful people. A few days later I received a lovely card from them and a framed card of his paw print. I can’t tell you how much this care and understanding meant to me at this time.
Very disappointed with my recent experience at Greencross Vets Carrara. When I booked my dog’s appointment over the phone, I clearly stated multiple times that the appointment was for the annual tick injection only. I also explained that my dog already uses Advocate spot-on treatment because he cannot tolerate tablets, and this already covers… Read more
heartworm prevention.
During the booking call, the yearly heartworm injection was briefly mentioned, but I did not agree to it and reiterated that I only wanted the tick injection.
As I work night shifts, my partner brought my dog to the appointment for me. My dog was then given a yearly heartworm injection anyway, without my consent. I have since confirmed with my partner that nobody discussed this additional treatment with him or asked for approval before administering it.
I have now been charged for a treatment I did not authorise, my dog was unnecessarily subjected to two injections instead of one, and I still need to continue using Advocate regardless because it covers the intestinal worms he still requires protection for.
What upset me most was feeling completely unheard throughout the process. At no stage did anyone contact me to clarify anything despite my instructions being clear during the booking call.
I would strongly encourage clearer communication and proper consent processes moving forward.

Thank you Greencross team for looking after our Groodle “Fox”. Every visit we have been impressed with your level of service and noted your staff go above and beyond to look after us. recently we had to have Fox sedated to have some mats removed from his ears that he ended up with from a stay at a boarding kennel. Vet Charlotte helped with this and in the end a very patient caring and dedicated vet nurse at Caloundra managed to brush them out rather than shaving his ears and preventing the discomfort from this procedure. We have also had excellent service from the Kawana team and lovely vet Agata. We have found Healthy Pets Plus a great product as well.
Always caring, flexible with my difficult transport issues, help with managing waiting pets that my dachshund might decide to take offence at and bark aggressively! In short they are amazing at being helpful managing their pet clients and elderly owners
Greencross Vets have been absolutely amazing. They’ve taken such great care of my dog Lilo over the years, and I couldn’t be more grateful. The entire team is kind, professional, and truly dedicated. It’s always a positive experience, and I feel confident knowing my pet is in such good hands
Great service and staff are so care of your needs and of course my two little puppies

the vet. They also go the extra mile by ringing me if I have not booked in required appointment. And the most important thing is that they care.
Follow-up · Greencross Boxhill remains absolutely awesome from reception, the veterinary nurses and the vets themselves. My Staffy had to have a minor operation. They took great care of him, and he got a certificate of bravery when he left the vets. That made me smile. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough.
The vets looked after my cat ,very well I am very happy with them .thank you .
Follow-up · My cat has kidney problems and has to be monitored on a regular basis, that is why I joined Healthy pets plus,it is an ongoing health problem.
I think they are great, especially with looking after my 15year old staffie
Follow-up · They took great care with him when he wasn’t well and treated his anxiety which was very bad at the beginning to make him a better dog

I brought my cat in after she began pawing at her mouth, they quickly decided she needed some teeth extracted. After a week or so, it was apparent the extractions made no difference. After another check up, a retained root was discovered & another surgery was performed. This too made no difference. Over a period of 4 months I was taking my cat… Read more
there, at one stage they even suggested the pawing at the mouth could be a habit & so i stopped her pain medication....BIG mistake..! They then referred my cat to ARH Minchinbury, to a surgeon, he had a look & said the issue doesn't require surgery (still charged me $750), he did say that it could be due to the previous teeth extractions not being done correctly, & then referred my cat to ARH Homebush, slightly better, the vet there was very thourough, although she claimed the problem is a flea infestation..! My cat has not had fleas for 5 years..! She went on to say the issue is allergies. I spent hundreds on what was supposed to be a specialized diet, only to discover it was not specialized at all (thanks PetBarn..!!). A CT was also suggested BUT apparently it may not even show the issue if its an allergy, so it could cost me $5000 for nothing..! I went back to Greencross & they conducted a few tests (not cheap..!! but mostly unneeded). At this time i decided to seek a second opinion. I should point out now- from my first visit to Greencross, i mentioned that my cat had a build up of gunk in her left eye, i mentioned this to every vet & vet nurse there, their response was to just wipe it clean, nothing more. At the time i made an appointment with another vet, her eye started to look very different, so the second opinion i was seeking, now changed to seeing an Ophthalmologist. They diagnosed my cat with Uveitis & secondary glaucoma. Shortly after this, my cat had to have her eye removed. The initial pawing issue still remains. This is a VERY condensed version of events. Since last July, i have spent over $12,000 (not all at Greencross). The Ophthalmologist i saw, had one of her GP vets to take a look at my cat & she diagnosed FOPS & said it is a dental issue (which differs from ARH Homebush diagnosis of allergy). Bottom line- under no circumstances would i take an pet to Greencross OR ARH Minchinbury for ANY procedure. I'm sure they can handle things such as vaccinations, microchipping & other small procedures....but that's about it.
I am sorry to have to give such a negative review but i certainly don't believe my cat got the treatment she deserved. Every single day, multiple times my cat is pawing at her mouth despite spending over $6000 between Greencross Penrith & ARH Minchinbury & Homebush with no improvement & no real diagnosis, i am desperately trying to save for her to see a dentist or have a CT scan. I believe Greencross misdiagnosed my cat & i'm left to fix up their mistake....

When we first came to Greencross South Morang we had a fairly sizeable fur family, 3 cats and a Lab. We had been to a few different vets in the area on and off when our babies where younger, but as they got older and issues came up we settled on Greencross. We always try to see Dr Matt, he is an absolute asset to the place. He is gentle and kind,… Read more
but explains things in real terms, so you know whats going on. He doesnt make you feel bad for expressing emotions, and he has seen me cry on more than one occasion. He remembers you and your pet and when our Lab passed he sent us a heartfelt condolence email. He handles everything gracefully even when his iwn pet passed, he came and worked through it. Theres another member of staff - Scott - he is also amazing. No animal is too small or insignificant to not care about and he has talked me through a number of bird rescues and genuinely has the best customer service. My experince of Greencross is one of relief, support and somewhere you can rely on to get the best care for your pet, and you. Thank you Greencross South Morang, you are Angels ❤
Reactive Dog learning curve – I have had many dogs in the past from small terrier breeds to my big boofy Bullmastiff so I thought I knew what I was doing when I adopted my first rescue. Wow I was wrong…and I mean really wrong. Talk about a roller coaster. Who knew a miniature poodle could turn into a super reactive, agressive, “I don’t like your face so I think ill… Read more · 1
rearrange it for you” dog.
Well not me thats for sure. Then to my utmost disbelief, he actually bit someone.
I was lost, out of my depth. This is something you can only relate to if you have had a reactive dog. Social isolation, self blame, inadequacy as a owner, these are just a few of the issues you will deal with. Then there is your dog’s actual issues.
Our first visit to the vet was to see if there was a physical reason for the aggression, ie was he reacting to pain. That in itself could have resulted in endless tests and endless bank withdrawals but my lovely Greencross Vet quickly established my boy was ‘owner guarding. Not resource guarding, as that is slightly different, but Owner guarding. So we tried anti anxiety drugs to modify his behaviour and we are always checking in and tweaking as we go along. One step forward and sometimes two steps back. That’s often the way it goes with a reactive dog.
We had quite a big complication a few weeks ago when Boo hurt his back so that meant we needed to review and change some of the medications to now work with both conditions. It’s been a year long journey so far but we see definite improvements in my little boy’s demeanour. The staff at Greencross only ever make us feel like we are doing our best, and I am sure they are too. Our Vet advised us early in the process how this was going to be a long term fix and helped us to find a Greencross plan that is now saving us significant $ on Vet fees.
We adore our little boy and only want the best for him. I think we are getting that from ourGreencross team.

We are so incredibly grateful to Dr Philippa and the team in Hornsby for the care they gave our tiny Frenchie when he was really unwell. It was such a stressful time for us, but from the moment we walked in, we felt supported, reassured, and genuinely cared for. treated him with so much kindness and attention, and only thanks to her, he’s now happy and healthy again. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and that makes all the difference. Thank you for taking such good care of our little boy — we’ll never forget it
I have Ollie in my profile picture and my cat Harold also as members. Also wags, the dog who passed away as a member in his senior years. The vets and nurses are so caring and knowledgeable with any advice. The compassion and care I received with helping me arrange cremation for wags was excellent. Would recommend them to anyone

Paid $1235 for my 3 yr old dog to have an ultrasound to find root cause of frequent UTI’s. Discovered she has only 1 kidney which is also failing. Finally went to a vet specialist who also sought report. Greencross assured all parties would receive it. They made multiple excuses about the delay but deceitfully never sent it. Went back to Emergency Greencross vet a few weeks later who read screen notes to say ‘report was never done’. Contacted Practice Manager & received the ultrasound some SEVEN MONTHS later. My pup’s deteriorated kidney has been in distress for 7 months and I've spent $5000 on wasted tests due their negligence.

The continued well-being of my pets has always been of the utmost importance to me. Greencross Vets in Margaret Street has consistently provided professional, highly skilled care to my pets in a safe, friendly, comfortable environment. I would not trust my cats and dog with any other vet clinic.
We’ve entrusted Greencross Vets with our cat for the past 16 years at a number of locations in Queensland and NSW and cannot imagine that we could receive better service anywhere else. Staff are particularly competent, caring and accommodating. Highly recommend Greencross Vets.
Cheryl and her team at Greencross Vet in Joondalup Perth WA have been looking after my 2 cocker spaniels since they were puppies and have always had very good service, one of my dogs in particular has had chronic ear issues since he was tiny and we have made very frequent visits to the practise for horrible rod bacterial infections I've found that… Read more

All the vets at my local Greencross Vets are amazing and very caring. They take the time to fully explain everything and their examination of my pet is comprehensive. Their prices are reasonable and also offer installment payments.
Have been taking Poppy (Cavoodle) to Greencross nearly all over her 6 years. Very happy to recommend this practice. Dr Prue is very good with Poppy and we appreciate her care and attention to our pet welfare
