at least 10 other customers complained about the excessive wait times and the staff’s attitude, so this was clearly not an isolated issue. I caught one girl say to a elderly gentleman, it’s not my fault and if you are not happy, leave.
There appeared to be no capable management present to address the situation or control the rude staff. The behaviour and lack of professionalism from the young staff members was unacceptable.
It’s unfortunate, as the burgers themselves would likely have been enjoyable if served warm. However, due to the service and overall experience, I will not be returning.

Food is just ok. Small servings. On weekends in Mooloolaba (not sure if this is elsewhere) there are no “meals” eg burger with chips and fries, everything is sold separately AND on the Easter weekend was slapped a massive surcharge! Very disappointing experience. I specifically asked for the patties to be well done, as I often receive them undercooked with red meat in the center. Then came the burger. Maybe the photo i would include here would explain it all! How come it’s always different from their ads not just Betty’s but all restaurants advertising their food. Why can’t they be strict to tell their crew to cook and serve their food well. Betty’s not far from how Hungry Jack’s do and serve their food. another time my mum ordered a chicken salad but it was mainly lettuce, very little chicken and they did not put dressing on the salad. The Hornsby place as well seems to very rarely clean up after customers since I frequently see used paper/plates on the table which attract pigeons that fly on top of the tables (very unhygienic) and finally like another reviewer said (about a different place) their music is too loud (you cannot hear other people only the music). They have lost several customers today. Not going back.

Chicken tenders, onion rings and fries were great, so was the fried chicken burger. However, something must’ve gone wrong in the kitchen when making the beef patty as it was very dry, smelt horrible, and tasted like plastic. The absolute worst meal I have ever ordered via Uber Eats. My meal arrived STONE COLD and was TOTALLY inedible so pretty much went straight in the bin. However, did check out before tossing - beef patty was totally dry and hard to find as the bun was pretty much filled with lettuce, and not much else! Disgusting!

2025, a visit to the Betty's Burgers store in Darling Harbour, Sydney, on Friday, 9 May. Sadly, the experience couldn't have been more different.
What we received was nothing short of disappointing: a soggy bun, a tasteless patty, limp lettuce and tomato, and a noticeably smaller burger overall. It was underwhelming, unappetising, and a far cry from what Betty's Burgers experience in Noosa.
And this wasn't an isolated case. We've previously been to other Sydney locations like the city store and Hornsby — and the results were just as poor. It's clear that the quality has dropped across the board.
What used to be one of our favourite burger spots has now lost our trust completely. Never again, Betty's Burgers. You've resoundingly lost my vote.

often sits on the counter for many minutes before it is finally delivered to the table. You can therefore only imagine the lack of care taken for delivery orders. I've tried ordering multiple times through delivery partners but the reality is that it's always cold food that's delivered and often missing items. The store just doesn't care about delivery and why should they when they barely care about in house customers. Domino's delivers pizzas that are as still too hot to touch. So it's not about delivery issues It really is a lack of will on behalf of the store to deliver a quality product.
Never order takeaway from Bettys and also be prepared to wait 15mins plus whilst your order sits on the counter waiting for attention.
Great product if delivered hot but otherwise a waste of money and no management will to fix things.
Chips don’t come with burger and have to buy separately but they were delicious chips. Burgers were really good but a little small. Service was amazing, very kind staff and excellent wait times. Was in and out in 20.
