Delivery was over night and super satisfied with my pole saw, it glides through branches 10 to 12 inches thick. Would recommend this to anyone, at first it seems a little heavy but after first use you don't even notice. Woman user loving it... Show reply
I previously owned an older BBT rotary hoe and it worked great service was also good back then, around 3–4 years ago. has been nothing but problems, and the support has been extremely poor.
I purchased the new rotary hoe on March 24th, picked it up from the SA depot on March 27th, and had issues immediately. On March 28th, I emailed BBT explaining that the belt was squealing and the machine wasn’t moving properly. Their response was that I’d adjusted it incorrectly. I followed every instruction they gave me over multiple emails, but the problem never went away. I managed to get it moving a little, but it still couldn’t turn over any soil because the belt kept squealing and cutting out.
I put it away for a while and tried again months later, hoping to make it work. Same issue. I reached out again for support, reminding them that the machine has a 2-year warranty, but after 7 months of ownership, it’s still basically a yard ornament.
Now they’re claiming the issue is with the rear height pin saying I’m going too deep with it but that’s not true, and it’s the same issue from day one. I’ve followed every single instruction they’ve given, yet I’m still getting sent in circles with no solution.
Their latest offer was for me to send the machine back at my own cost (around $150–$200) so they can “try” to work out what’s wrong, and they’ve even implied I might need to pay for repairs too.
Honestly, I’m extremely disappointed. I bought from BBT again because my first experience with their equipment was positive, but this time around the product quality and customer service have both been terrible.

Purchased the BBT 7/10T Electric Hydraulic Wood Log Splitter. There was a mix up with the nearest freight drop off but Express Freight were onto to it. It then surprisingly arrived 21/7/25 at the planned freight pickup point ahead of time. Picked it up at 1530. There was no damage to the box and all strapping and small pallet were in place. I immediately called BBT and sent a photo with my concerns to the tech support. Having no return response as soon as I returned to my bush address I unpacked it and removed it from my vehicle. The instructions say the splitter must be filled with hydraulic fluid before operation. There is also an oil filter. No other details! Hope to get clarity as to why it leaked and is the filter easy to replace and when? There were definite signs of fluid around the main seal at the end of the hydraulic arm. The fluid drain plug was tight and dry. I would presume when the hydraulic oil is filled to approximately 3.4l minimum (?) to not have any leaks the splitter would need to stored in the up right position? Hopefully, I will be contacted by BBT to clarify tomorrow. The main customer service operator was always helpful and courteous. Thanks Graeme R.

Mower was returned from the depot, shipping costs are outrageous , rip off. I have contacted them a number of times for a refund. They Claimed, tried to call me many times, yet no missed calls, I got a call as soon as I complained a miracle!, yes they are that kind of company lairs with no ethics.

Scammers – Poor quality machinery complicated by a team that does nothing to support. I have a new lawnslasher and brushcutter, both of which would make good boat anchors. DON'T GO NEAR THEM.
Just an update to advise they responded immediately to my review advising me of how disheartened they were by my feedback.
CHEAP? Not really! - Poor after sales service – I’ve purchased multiple products over the last 4 years from BBTA including a mulcher, slasher, fire pump, sump pump and hoses. Given the products don’t last they are not cheap per hour run time. $869 for a mulcher and 6-7 hours run time before the carburettor died. Bought a replacement from BBTA ($52) that was defective (choke lever retaining… Read more

BBTA technical team did not return my phone calls (2 messages left over 4 days) chasing a response as to how the choke lever was meant to be retained on the replacement carby (Mulcher vibrates excessively when running). Slasher drive sprocket was of such poor-quality steel it has all but worn away with limited use over 4 years (tops 30 hours run time). Basically the self-propulsion drive is a poor design and next to useless. All 4 stroke motors - all use an excessive amount of oil. Spare parts are limited and not always in stock. I waited months for spare blades and belts. The carby was out of stock for months. Basically, these are limited use throwaway products. which, while the initial cost is lower than competitor products, are not good value in the medium term.

Bad customer service and, apparent non interest after purchase. Very very disappointed – Worst company for return calls. Contacted 3 times this week about a simple query on charger i purchased for my 9000 chipper mulcher. No instructions or heip at all. Considering i have been appointed buyer for several electric start mulchers, log splitters and lawnmowers for my woidworkers and garden clubs, i expected more. Looking around now for other suppliers.

be treated with respect and not given generic reply emails to important concerns especially when it comes to the products you sell suffering major failings in short periods of time. Unfortunately despite your hundreds of successful happy chainsaw owners the occasional one will fail and you should be prepared to handle those situations professionally when they arise.
As you know there are plenty of other competitors out there selling what you have. Word of mouth is crucial in the farming community, I will join the list of disappointed BBT customers on Product Review and Google, and expect a follow up from Fair Trading.
All this over a $159 chainsaw, something so easy to resolve made so difficult.
Hoping you treat your next customer having a problem with something you have sold them with a little more care, compassion and respect.

BULL BBQ - Poor Quality – $3000.00 BBQ which started to rust within a week. The website says that it’s mostly put together but there is heaps to assemble, if your not handy then forget it. first checking if it will fit my mower... which is the B&S self-propelled with NO GEARS which you no longer sell.
Wheel arrives... it does not fit... it is too big and will not engage with the drive cog... I have measured the two wheels and the difference is clear... its spins around freely and will not connect with the cog... clear indication that it is the wrong wheel.. even to the naked eye side by side you can see its bigger than the original wheel... besides the fact that it won't work on my model mower... if it was the right one.... I would not be repeatedly writing to you.... and being ignored.

me the unit was repaired and shipped back to me. Once I received the unit back I fueled it, put oil in it and attempted to start it. I have had absolutely no success with starting this generator since it was returned to me, I contacted the company again to request that the unit be picked up again and they issue me with a full refund. Their response to this was that if I return this product again they will consider it as a change of mind and they will charge me 20% restocking fee and also charge me for postage and shipping costs. Totally disgusted with this generator and with Bigger Boys Toyz, will NEVER purchase from them again.

After several returns then refused to honour the warranty – Bought a brush cutter that I had trouble with from the first day I tried to use it. First I had to drive 50km to collect as I wasn't home for the delivery, even though I requested it be left at front door. I didn't need to use it, so several months later I fueled it up as per instructed and within 20 mins it locked up again. I suspect these cheaper Chinese engines don't run properly on the 25-1 mix that's recommended. I was told that I had used 4 stroke oil, so would not help me and I must buy another engine. I have loads of other 2-stroke tools, this just isn't a quality product.
Second to none – I've been shopping with BBT for a number of years now and cannot recommend them highly enough. Goods are shipped really quickly - usually within 24 hours of placing the order. Absolutely disgusting service – I bought a pizza oven through Bigger Boyz Toys. Was told I would have it within 2-3 days. It took 2 weeks to receive the oven and it was badly damaged. it was a joke. They have blamed everyone else and have take no responsibility. Do not purchase anything through them unless you want to be stuffed around and brushed off. If you leave feedback on their website, they will only include it if it's positive. If not, they won't approve the feedback. Very dishonest and immoral company that once they get your money they couldn't care less about the customer. Will never purchase anything through them again. Have also reported them to the Ombudsman.
