BlackVue DR900X-2CH PLUS Questions

I had a professional hardwired install DR750X-2CH Plus dashcam by Repco, which was unfortunately stolen after I got into an accident. I've since purchased a DR900X-2CH Plus and I'm wondering whether I need to have it install again or if I can use the existing installed power cable simply plug it in and start using it. I understands all the X-series uses the same power cable and should be compatible within the X series (DR750X power cable used by DR900X).

Could you please advise me on this matter?

Is there a way of determining if the BlackVue camera is not a fake ? Looking at buying a second hand 900x plus, and just wanted to be sure. Thank you

Hi Escape, Currently we are not aware of any fake BlackVue systems circulating the market place. However when checking it over it would be worth making sure all the accessories are present in the kit. For a complete kit breakdown please see the link below. external link

I think the plus indicates a hard wiring kit.

Hi Andrew, The DR900X-2CH Plus is the current model camera. The main difference between the two models is the DR900X-2CH Plus has an upgraded CPU and image sensor which helps produce better recordings.

Wonder if you can help me. My Blackview Dr 900x has stopped working. I checked the connection but all OK there. Also replaced the sd card. still no luck. Weird thing is it worked perfectly yesterday .

My camera is connected to the fuse box via a battery under the driver's seat.

The camera runs off a Blackview battery that is located under my car seat to prevent draining of my car battery when the car engine is turned off.

Hi Dave,

Is there any audio or lights coming on the DR900X? If you also view the battery pack through the app can you see if there is any Amps being drawn from the camera or does it appear as 0?
