leaked on my laptop while on the plane) and so the only way to actually use it is to hold it in my hands whenever there is any water inside. This, as you can imagine, is far from ideal; the only reason I am still using it is to prevent more plastic entering the environment but, frankly, I am dreaming of the day it will finally break and I will be able to buy a bottle I can actually put in my bag guilt free. As for its water filtering abilities, I cannot comment - the water neither looks nor tastes differently but for all I know that's a good thing and means the bottle is doing its job in that regard.

I love this product! Where can I buy a new one in Melbourne!!!??? – We have been using the Bobble product for over 6 years. We've not been able to find a better refillable water bottle. actually drink from, too big and they've also ripped off the coloured lid and hard plastic design of Bobbl. Really surprised (and a bit suspicious) to see bad reviews of the Bobbl.

Good sturdy bottle – I bought the sports version so the plastic is that softer one not usual one on regular bottles. Feels sturdier and doesnt make me think it will crack when dropped. Beware! – I'm travelling and trying to be a little environmental friendly... just to find out that my Bobble bottle (which contained maybe 100ml of water) leaked inside my bag all over my laptop and book. Filter lid/neck always cracks within 2-3 weeks – These cheapskates who make these bottles knew about the faulty lid design when it was first marketed, but they decided not to spend a couple of thousand dollars doing a simple redesign and changing out the die (used to mold the lid). Instead they chose to keep the dodgy lid design knowing that most people will have to buy a new filter every few weeks because they crack easily. the smaller half size bottle. Doing my best to forgive and forget. Again, the lid did not actually fit, and the entire bottle of water leaked through my handbag. The lid couldn't be on any tighter, it was screwed in properly and square, but still it leaked.

I will no longer purchase these water bottles. The lid system is awful, prone to leaks and breaks.

I love this water bottle – I have used bobble water filter bottles from the 1st time I saw them in the shops. I love them. I have bought them for all my family. I even take an empty 1 overseas, fill & use it while away. I love the fact that I can keep 're using the same bottle even if I need to replace the filter. It's also great knowing the plastic will not give off harmful gasses if I leave it on my car on a hot day.  Show details

Love it – I love bobble bottles and buy a new one every few weeks. I've noticed Coles and target stock them occasionally but not consistently. Much prefer this hard plastic and design to other soft plastic brands which end up making the water taste of plastic. Can't understand why they aren't more widely available.  Show details

The filter keeps cracking – Gone through 3 filters so far and all cracked around the same area just below the lift up mouth piece. Have had mine for 3 years and still does the trick – I honestly have never had an issue drinking from this bottle or the 1ltr one I have. I love the design (it's cute!) and the colourful filters. The bottle is flexible so you can gently squeeze it, not crumple it up! Yes there is a sucking sound but I suppose thats just the filter doing its thing. Have had mine for almost 2 years and hasn't failed – I like them! The bottle is thick plastic so doesn't crinkle / dent easily, filters are easy to find and the cost for a whole new bottle is pretty cheap even when not on sale. The only thing that bugs me is that the plastic filter top can get scratched easily, which is a bit of a pain to clean but a toothbrush does the trick. I got mine 75% off (paid $5 from woolies) so won't hear me complaining! Gonna get some more for travel!  Show details

Hard to drink – Loved the idea of the filter however the effort put in to drink the water is terrible. At start I was having to squeeze the bottle to get some water as drinking/sucking was really pointless. Now a couple of weeks on I can hardly get any water. stone. Then, my husband's bottle began to warp with use (and no, it wasn't left in the sun, or frozen etc.). I thought the bottle design was quite ergonomic for holding in your hand but slowly found it didn't fit any standard bottle holders in bikes, prams, cars etc.

Waste of money!

Bottle crumpled and tasted bad – I bought one of these bottles cause it looked like fun, bad idea. The filter makes the water taste horrible and I put hot water through to rinse like I always do and the plastic crumpled so much I threw it away. Prefer Powerade bottle – Worst drink bottle I have ever had. Leaks everywhere, had to remove the filter to actually get some water coming through. Strange shape that fits nothing, also is more expensive. Recommended to people who enjoy there shirt being wet everytime you take a sip. few times when ive left mine at home. the only downside is the bottle is a litte too wide for car cup holders if they made a skinnier bottle version that would be great!

cleaned the water, but to what end? The only good news is that we were able to remove the filter and use the bottle as a regular bottle. We are extremely disappointed in the bobble product.

my favourite perks about my Bobble is that it doesn't leak at all, which makes it perfect for carrying around in my bag at uni all day! The bottle is somewhat flexible, but as another reviewer stated this is so you can squeeze it. I've never gone against the natural squeezing shape & always squeezed it gently, and I've never had any problems with the plastic breaking. Another thing I like about my Bobble is the stylish design. I don't think Bobble deserves all these negative reviews, mine is great and I would defiantly purchase again.

Filter broke off after a few weeks - made a complaint with bobble website, no response after 2 weeks – When it was new, it made an awful noise with each slow mouthful - like 1000 screaming ants or something. Inferior product, obviously trying to manufacture cheaper – Been using these for some time now, used to be a quality product. Now the bottles are brittle and implode when you drink fro them, if you drop the bottle the filters snap off. Same price but inferior product. Posted them a customer complaint 2 weeks ago, no answer. The most annoying thing is that whenever I want a drink (especially when in my university classes which are generally in a quiet environment) the long wheezing sound when opening the bottle is very disrupting for others and embarrassing for me (especially after repeated times), so i tend to drink less during these times, even when i'm thirsty. Also it's hard to get the water out and therefore requires you to squeeze the bottle (wrecking it even more) and sucking really hard to get a decent sip from it, therefore making enduring the long wheezing sounds not even worth their while, because i'm still wanting more but I just give up. I'm quite disappointed and I had higher expectations than this for something I paid $16.50 for. Ugh! I think a refund/exchange is my best bet.

Made by dentists – I have had heaps of these in the past with no problems, but the last few filters have quickly become very hard to pop up. So hard in fact that you could do some serious damage to teeth if you were not careful. are dry. I have contacted customer service over 2 weeks ago and they have not yet responded. I wonder if they have changed their manufacturing process or materials as these problems have not occurred in the past.

It's Terrible – Borrowed this water bottle off my mother and what a mistake. Worst water bottle ever. I chipped my tooth on the lid as the plastic is so bloody hard. You have to push the water into your mouth by squeezing the bottle or suck really hard to get anything out.

Cool Idea but a Total Piece of Crap – The type of plastic they use they shouldn't.. it collects microbes, and evertime you take a drink the bottle will make a horrible wheezing sound for like 5-6 seconds afterwards. Might be giving me rage issues. Can't wait to find a replacement. A real cheap piece of crap. Does anymore make a decent filter bottle without all the compromise?

Plastic cracks and bottle leaks – After only a couple of uses my new bottle split at the rim and then leaked all in my work bag. When I notified the company about it they just said return it to the store for a refund. No apology or explanation, so that indicates they are not surprised that it happened and that this is an inferior product. Do yourself a huge favour and pick a different water bottle. I have a Brita one now and it seems good.

shed some carbon but we rinsed it and it was fine again. You may get minor faults but you're buying a disposable product at an affordable cost so get over it or go buy a $500 filter machine. Proof to its filtering efficiency is that we use the bottled water for our iron. Using unfiltered tap water we noticed chlorine residue, using bobble, this was gone.

Impossible to drink from – I bought this product as I was travelling through Asia and wanted to make sure I had drinking water available - so disappointed in it. safe but it's not as the mouth piece is the filter so when you have been using it, especially over night, it just seems dirty and skanky by morning.

Luckily I found enough shops on my travel to just buy bottled water everywhere.

So 6 months after the filter still has the really bad smell of plastic. Needless to say it only gets used when I absolutely need to use it.

Waste of money and poor design – It leaks and leaves a water ring on tables, the filter claims up to 300 refills however bacteria forms and is harmful in the PETE plastic. You can't pull it all apart and clean properly between uses. Water tastes like plastic. Makes slow hissing sound after you drink from it. Fail.
