Poor sizing and poor customer service – So disappointed with Bobux and really hope they take the time to see and read these reviews. Our Bobux journey started with 2 pairs of shoes for my infant which we loved. I recently bought 2 news pairs for him as he's a toddler and needed to go up a couple of sizes. I bought 2 different styles and like last time, used the sizing chart to pick… Read more
the required size based off my little one's foot measurement. When they arrived, both pairs were about 3 sizes too big! I couldn't believe it. I measured his feet again thinking I'd made a mistake but no, the size chart is just way off. I contacted customer service who were disinterested and offered an unhelpful and generic reply. I've since returned both pairs but what is even more disappointing in the fact that it has become evident that they moderate the reviews. I posted constructive feedback on both pairs (albeit with only 1 star) but neither have been posted on their site. This is completely misleading and means that their review system is useless as it does not provide an accurate snapshot of other customers' experience! Upon reading other reviews here, I can see I am not the only person with a similar experience.
Previously have owned multiple bobux for my first born. Never had any issues. For my second child, purchased a iwalk roam sandals. It wasn’t fantastic but lasted more than 6 months. Purchased the next size up 3 weeks ago and after 2 weeks of wear, the sandals are almost broken beyond repair. Quality is definitely not what it used to be. Won’t be… Read more
buying anymore. I contacted the baby shop where I bought the shoes from who said they contacted bobux and they will not be honouring warranty.
Terrible experience and customer service – Sizing charts are incorrect and when you state this and ask for the shoes to be exchanged, you get told they only refund them they do not exchange at all and that the sizing chart is generic and will not be specific to a particular style. You can return the shoes and get a refund and then repurchase the correct size. Customer service is… Read more
atrocious. This is how they make their money as they keep the postage costs and then you have to repay postage to get the “correct size” as the sizing chart does not mean a thing when it comes to the shoes they sell. So what is the point of the sizing chart then and why is the onus on the customer?! Would give zero stars if I could.

Don’t buy – I thought I must’ve purchased a faulty pair as a one off. Received an exchange… and 2 days later, the same thing happened. Unbelievable!
Unsafe for Growing Spines, Low Quality – I am mortified to have discovered that for 3 months my toddler been wearing shoes with soles that have vastly different thicknesses (this is a MASSIVE issue for developing spines!!). I reached out to Bobux to confirm if this is a fault in their production and management didn’t acknowledge it was a fault - they instead said that it can happen with… Read more
their shoes. So if you want to pay stupid amounts of money for shoes that are not comfortable (or safe for that matter!) then go right ahead and waste your money with Bobux.
With such an expensive price-tag you think they would produce shoes that are actually GOOD for your children’s feet, but no, seems they just like to charge a fortune for nothing.
Shout out to the ‘great’ customer service manager ([Name Removed]) and other staff ([Name Removed]), who rather than coming to a solution (ie a refund), have chosen to ignore my emails.
I’m beyond mortified. I can’t believe my toddler’s spine and development has been compromised in such a way, and by a brand that is supposed to be top-shelf (apparently not). A 1mm difference is huge for that age, let alone any more (and ours was much more).
So many better shoes out there. We’re going Billy Cart - wider toe opening (super important for growing feet) and no issues with thickness.
I have included a photo below that shows the difference in thickness of the sole from the edge of the shoe. The difference increases as you get to the middle of the heel of the shoe. Still shocked…. My poor bub.
They refuse to exchange or refund once your order is made – The extremely terrible seller.Once your order is made, they refuse to exchange or to refund. All you can do is waiting and they will tell you dispatch will be delayed. When you ask time frame, they will say no time frame
Positive reviews
Very nice children's shoes – Bobux is a nice brand for children's shoes. Unfortunately they are quite expensive. But the soles are soft and good for a child's foot.
Perfect fit! Great quality shoes – This is the first pair of shoes for my 15 month old. Leather is soft, shoe is well made. Super comfortable, easy to put on and off with one Velcro. The sole is durable, great for walking / running. The only downside is that price is relatively expensive.
Great product, invaluable service! – We’ve owned several pairs of Bobux shoes in the past and they’ve lasted well beyond 2 years, at times through multiple children. The abrasion-resistance toe-cap is a fantastic addition to the already practical and stylish designs. Furthermore, I’ve found the customer service amazing with prompt, friendly assistance when needed!
Negative reviews
Never again bobux 0 stars! – Absolutely terrible. 0 stars if I could. I got completely mucked around and then sent a pair of shoes that have glue all around the sole and coming out of the seem. Only problem offered a 15% refund. Absolutely appalling service & quality.
Used to be great - something has happened to the quality of these shoes – After going through about 7 pairs of Bobux shoes which were amazing, recently we bought 2 pairs, 1 was out of stock and was refunded, the other arrived and then the sole came off after 2 wears. Was quicte surprised as previously the quality was great, your little one could pretty much live them. So definitely a sharp decline in quality. I was… Read more
given a refund, after sending it back, however, the attitude was like they were doing me a favour refunding a faulty shoe.
No longer any good – We've been buying Bobux shoes for several years now. The quality over the past two years or so has taken a sharp decline. I've noticed that the younger kids shoes don't support the foot enough and the sole becomes worn on the inner sides as the ankles rolls inward. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this quickly enough and did end up buying more Bobux… Read more
shoes, which the kids started to refuse to wear and fair enough! Moved on to other brands, e.g. proper running shoe brands and Ecco/Clarks, and haven't looked back. I'm aware that kids can have their ankles roll in somewhat as they grow, but I suspect this could have been helped by a more supportive shoe.

Newer ones are short lived – We had several pairs of bobux for my eldest and found them comfortable and soft soled. These pairs lasted for both kids... The most recent purchase for my youngest had the soles worn through in months(they were in rotation with others also, and cared for the same way). I contacted bobux and they said that's normal. A search of the parent groups… Read more
and communities online reveal this is the new shoes -short lived, and yet no less expensive. Unfortunately we had to look around for a better option that isn't throwing money into landfill every few months. Some second hand pairs still use the longer lasting sole compound, but it's hard to verify without seeing in person.

Good shoes but they don’t accept returns or exchanged – I have been buying this shoes now for almost three years. They are great quality and until now you could exchange and return with no issues. Now they claim that it’s been years since they don’t accept returns. When confronted with an email from a year ago in which they did they said they started the policy two weeks ago. These are very expensive… Read more
children shoes. Many things can happen like they don’t fit. I will look for a new brand with better customer service
Poor quality - not fit for purpose – I purchased white 'grass court' Bobux shoes for my daughter to wear at kindergarten. White velcro shoes is the uniform requirement. I thought the "premium leather" would mean they last longer than 1 month. What a joke. They are showing serious signs of wear after just 10 kinder days. The leather is wearing thin at the toes, and there are pieces… Read more
of the wrap-around sole coming off at the front of the shoes. According to Bobux's product page the soles of these shoes are "designed to withstand wear and tear from walking and running". Let's also talk about these shoes being podiatrist endorsed. Seriously? My daughter thuds her feet on the ground with each step because the soles are not flexible enough. It's changed her walking style. Outside of kinder she wears Vivobarefoot. I’ve recently bought some barefoot sneakers from the USA and already she’s more comfortable and able to play outside more confidently. Please DO NOT BUY Bobux shoes. They are complete rubbish if your child intends on walking and running in them.
Awful!!! – My daughter is 1 and still crawling, she got them gifted ( explorer designed for crawlers/ first walking) for her birthday. She literally wear them for 15 minutes and the plastic in the front came off as well as the colour. $60 for a pair of baby shows, bobux you can do better than this, the quality is a shame!!! I asked them as a gift because of… Read more
the popularity and the amazing reviews I saw, don't waste your money and time and go for another brand!
Absolutely terrible customer service – The shoes themselves seem to be fine, though probably not worth the high price tag. I do like that they are good for feet development but I will not shop at Bobux online again their service was absolutely terrible. Ordered three pairs. One is out of stock have to choose another pair. They are then the wrong size (using their measuring system).… Read more
They say it is an easy exchange but sent back no response. I had to reach out to them to make sure they had received it. Then all the shoes that I wanted exchanged were out of stock. Their responses were also as if they didn’t care and definitely not worth the price tag. Won’t shop on bobux.com again.
Poor quality, no customer service – I bought a pair of shoes for my toddler. Within one week the velcro had detached from the shoe. They were expensive so I contacted customer service at Bobux. I was not able to return them to the shop I bought them at as it was in another town. I never received a response from Bobux. Have not looked at their products since.
Poor Quality Shoe – I bought two pairs of expensive boots for my 6 and 8 year olds and they have both already torn the heels off. Have never seen this before. Tried contacting customer service and could not get a hold of anyone to help with a return. Disappointed.
The only kids shoe brand I could find with real credibility – I researched a lot of brands and many claimed to be podiatrist approved or recommended but not many actually had any certification. I also found reference to university testing with leading podiatrist - so not just claims. The shoes are expensive but compared to a Nike or Adidas shoe - same price but its hard to justify paying $80 for a Nike… Read more
synthetic runner when Bobux is full (REAL) leather. The shoes I have that aren't leather lined are made from cotton or merino and for my toddler, having their feet in cotton all day seemed to keep them more comfortable - and these are the only shoes they can wear all day without complaining about sore feet. Hard wearing & passed down to 2 x more siblings. All my kids learned to walk in the bare foot first walker style shoe and it helped them learn to walk much faster. They wear out quick - but by that time, they were ready for proper shoes anyway. I had issue with 1 x sole and they sent out a new pair straight away. Compared to other leading brands, made in China, you can see the quality of Bobux just by feeling the leather and I worry the cheap ones are full of chemicals and toxic dyes. I found some info on the Bobux website about chemical testing that is also certified - so I trust this brand with my kids health. Really happy with my latest pair (pictured) lined in real merino - I couldn't find any kids shoes except ugg boots with natural wool inside (and they are super cute!) plus these have waterproof lining to keep the wool dry which was always the problem with ugg boots (can't wear them on the grass) -so much detail in the design and yes these were pricey, but my toddler won't wear any other shoes now he has these!
Very disappointed with quality for such a high price – This particular model is definitely not designed to be worn outside. The soles have developed holes only after 2 months of occasional wear. Contacted Bobux to claim a refund for such a poor quality but they have said that it looks like "normal wear and tear" and declined it. Expected a much better customer service. Hopefully my review will be helpful and will save you some money in the future.
Cut up my daughter's feet – Both shoes cut up my daughter's feet around her ankles, first wear and after about 30 minutes we had to take them off as she was screaming in pain and bleeding from both feet. Tried to wear them in, stretch them, massaged the leather etc to no avail. Kept cutting her and she obviously kept crying. Binned them.

heals rub off easily – The heals of the boots started rubbing off noticeably within weeks, and these are not worn everyday. (My daughter has way too many shoes, and she changes them daily.) If Bobux truly care about quality, I would really like to see soles made of natural rubber. At this price range, it should be easily achievable. The current quality is unacceptable.
Stitching on both pairs started coming apart in days – Was very disappointed that we spent so much money ($130 on 2 pairs) thinking we were buying good quality shoes that would last - these are simply not worth their exorbitant price tag for cheaply made shoes. They also look extremely worn very, very quickly. Took a week for them to look like they were a year old. You’re paying for a brand name, not quality materials. I would not recommend these shoes to anyone.
Great to start off with BUT once they get wet inside, may as well throw them out! – The actual shoe quality is beautiful when you receive the product, but there has to be some sort of way to wash these shoes. I couldn't believe how bad they smelt after maybe 2 months of wear. I did some research on how to wash them and there several other complaints stating the same thing! We are now having to spend $100 on the shoe again because… Read more
the smell is disgusting..A couple of her friends have had the same issue too which is sad because the design of the shoe is great for their feet (the colours are ridiculous but it is what it is haha) I love bobux shoes but I can honestly say I'm very very disappointed with the shoe compared to other bobux shoes.
Very disappointed in quality – Brought for our son and after only 2.5 weeks of wearing they started showing massive scuffing and wear on the toe area which I did not expect to happen at all, at $95 and they apparently have a special super fabric toe that is ment to help stop it..they have a hole now by the toe where is has worn and he's only had them for 4 weeks.. PERFECT IN EVERY WAY – Have not had service like what I received in a very long time. Prompt responses, ease in contacting and purchasing. The actual product itself is amazing. professionalism, friendliness, and quality of product. Very happy and recommend to my family and friends. Try a pair you won't be disappointed. And if you need to...they are also there to help and so nice!
My kids love this brand shoes but very pricey and no free shipping option – Very expensive and not lasting. However, very comfy and airy to wear. My son always wears his fav high dimension shoes everywhere we go.
Great service from the online store team – Been buying Bobux shoes for a couple of years now but this was the first time online. Needed to make a size exchange and was happily surprised with the ease of this process, very smoothly handled by the crossover care person online. And great shoes!!
Bobux Xplorer fantastic for learning to walk – I have tried countless shoes on my 13 month old who is now walking. Every other shoe would either not go over her feet or she would just cry in. The bobux Xplorer went over her feet snugly, and they are soft enough underneath for her to balance well. They are literally the only shoes she will walk in! Well worth the price tag.
Best shoes for early walkers – They are all leather, very flexed fit, does not bite at the babies sensitive skin on heel. Easy to walk in and easy to put on. And best of all its not heavy so babies and balance better while walking!
Awesome designs, terrible after service and quality – It is a shame to say the least because the designs of bobux are great and also made in NZ which was a large reason why I had decided to purchase their brand of shoe. I am very disappointed by the after purchase service. I had purchased shoes for my child, they were only used daily for 6 months (my child was only starting to walk, and was not… Read more
running at this time) when the Velcro started losing grip. This is not what I expect after paying $80 for shoes.
I then called them for assistance. They said to return it to where I had purchased it from with the receipt (which I had thrown out) and it was up to the discretion of the store to decide how they would assist me. I had explained this to the service person and unfortunately she was unable to assist me further.
I then sent an email providing feedback about how I was quite dissapointed with the aftercare, to which no response was received.
To say the least, I am very disappointed with the company that they have made no effort to inform me whether my email was acknowledged - that, at least would have been appreciated.
In view of above, I would reconsider future purchases of bobux branded shoes.
Terrible quality followed by terrible customer service – I bought two pairs of shoes for my boys. They were exactly the same style. One has only lasted 4 months. The leather tongue of both sides of the shoes has split open exposing the sponge underneath. The response I got back from customer service is that this is normal wear and tear?! After 4 months? I have never seen any of the shoe tongues of my… Read more
children's shoes exposed before. This is definitely a product fault that Bobux is reluctant to admit. They claim on their website to stand by their product quality but when a genuine fault is called out they clearly don't! Definitely wouldn't recommend this brand.
Inconsistent Quality – The Bobux Radial (Black) I bought for my son were fantastic and was worn by him for six months before I decided I should get another pair for him to allow his feet to grow. At this stage they were still in perfectly wearable condition. After such a good experience, I decided to get him another pair of Bobux more suitable for warm weather, and went… Read more
with the cool looking Speed Racer (Navy/White/Red). Disappointingly, within a week the fronts of these shoes were scuffed at the front in a way that the Radials never were and now, scarcely two months later, I've replaced them with another brand of shoes altogether as the Racers had already become more worn than his old black shoes. I don't know how to add photos to my review otherwise I'd include pictures I've taken of both pairs of Bobux to compare. You would see that the Radials aren't even scuffed, whereas the fronts of the Racers look terrible! I have sent the company an email urging them to review the materials and quality control in the construction of all their shoes to ensure consistency - let's see if I get a constructive response.
worth the investment – Truely the best shoes for growing feet that i have found. comfortable, reliable, particle and cute. My daughter loves them.
