Very Disappointed – We have a Bosch dishwasher and are more than happy with it. On this basis we bought this Bosch washing machine. What a disappointment! Specifically - towels come out of the machine stringy instead of fluffy and when dry are like sandpaper - clothes generally come out wetter than our old top loader and take longer to dry to the line - the machine is advertised as 7.5 kg but only 3 of the 11 programs have this as the maximum load the others being much less - we received conflicting advice about the problem with the towels. Over the phone we were told to increase the water temperature to 90 DegC whereas the technician who visited said not to go above 40 DegC. - some of the cycle times seem excessive. We have never expected a load of washing to take 3 hours to process Overall we are not happy customers

A very quiet and compact front loader – Had to replace my old washing machine (another brand) after 10 years. When I did my research, Bosch always came out in the top three in all the comparisons and reviews. Plus three of my friends who does daily washings for their young children also have Bosch as well. This front loader is extremely quiet. I could only run my old one in the middle of the day so it will not disturb the neighbours. But I can run this one even at midnight. Initially, I had to keep checking to see if it is still working because it is that quiet. And very stable with little vibration. It comes with a lot of programs to suit almost all types of washing. Clothes come out cleaned and no residue or foam.

The one thing it can improve on is the user manual. It doesn't talk about each of the programs and how they are used. I'm particularly looking for the default washing temperature, spin rpm, and most importantly, the capacity limit for each program which is not available in the manual. Also, one annoying thing I've found is that when you accidentally bumped the dial during a program, it will stop the current program with no way to resume it.

But otherwise, it is a quality build and performs very well.

Horrible washing machine. No matter how much load is in the washer, it does not spin, the efficiency rating is bad for the price, it is noisy, the door closure mechanism is seriously a joke and the washing results are average at best. Totally regret buying this machine and will definitely not buy Bosh ever again. Show details

Great washing machine – Excellent washing machine. This Bosch serie 4 washing machine has been going strong for over 5 years now. Very quiet and energy efficient. Love kids and dark wash modes. Plus delay timer. Self-cleaning. Quality machine made in China. Only downside is it is not big enough to wash some larger blankets. It’s been so good that we decided to get the Bosch serie 4 dishwasher this year to match the expectation that these machines are designed to last. Show details

Very quiet & easy to use – Running so quiet & very easy to use, my 70-year old mom loves it so much. What a very clever design of holes on the rubber seal to lose the drain to avoid mold. Maybe my socket is too high, the wire is not long enough to me. Show details ·  1

R.I.Pieces – R.I.Pieces Simpson 175 top loader after 31 years (9/1989). In comes the Bosch 7.5 front loader - June 2020. Here my brain cells had to adjust to a different style of laundering; child locks, open and closing a lid to using a door, hot water consumption, weight loads, soaking clothes, layering items, numerous programmes... Most of which, although… Read more

a bit daunting at first, I have mastered to date.

[+] Washes clothes... (better than a top loader) The 7.5 model allows you to add/remove laundry during wash cycle. Hot water usage does not impact my Solar. Takes the fluff out of your towels. All stainless drum Uses less water and detergent. Super (Quick) 15/30 minute wash cycle is a plus! All cold water option available No tangled clothes. Extra bench space End of washing alarm can be adjusted to a quieter volume.

[-] This Bosch 7.5 does not take a Queen size doona To soak items properly you need a yesteryear top loader!

TIP: Clothes with outer zips, metal buttons etc., consider turning those items inside out as they could scratch the door. Wipe away any water residue from compartments and leave door open to ventilate. Empty Service Flap occasionally.

Perfect machine for 2-3 people! Only one issue of display which looks confusing in the dark – It's a good machine for a small household. The features are amazing and works as desired. It's been over 7 months never had a single issue with it. It's super silent and washes cloths clean. It's power and water efficient. Cycle times vary between 15 mins and 3 hours but never seen the machine uses extra water or electricity. It's Eco mode… Read more ·  3

would definitely saves a fortune.

The only issue is the display, the characters are displayed in bright red and it also illuminates the non active areas of the displays which confuses me most of the time.

$2 cost $180 – After 19 months of zero-problem operation, it abruptly developed an alarming clatter-clunk noise, the sort of sound you'd immediately pull your car over for, turn it off and call the NRMA. Bosch said it was under guarantee, arranged their preferred service agent to visit - which took about 20 days all up. When the nominated agent finally showed… Read more

up, he said to my wife: "Is the noise like this?" and did an excellent imitation. "Oh - I think I know what it is. Apprentice? The very-long-nosed pliers!" He put the apprentice to groping in the drain-hole/behind - who fairly rapidly found a very-clean $2 coin. "That's it. Not under guarantee, operator error. There's nothing wrong with your machine. Those coins just make a lot of horrible noise, that's all. $180, please?" I think this could have been handled better. The nice lady from Bosch who took the call was able to walk us through getting the door open - we'd stopped it when it had a load of very wet towels in, and the machine simply would not open. Finding the bypass involved kneeling, a long, very pointed knife, and directions. Getting the door open and the towels out before they went mouldy to destruction was important. But if it's a common problem, the second option: "Why don't you nip down to Bunnings, get the longest-nose pliers you can get that would explore that orifice, and grope for a coin yourself? That way, you're at least $100 in front and you own some expensive new pliers, forever." That second option - I think - could have been offered. Also - the drain-plug set-up - not a remotely friendly design. Hard to open, too close to the floor; only a (flat) tray could be used to catch excess water; And: needing someone able to operate eye-at-floor-level to find the override to get the door open. So - it still works perfectly - but ... grumpy customer, now.

Good little washer – Owned this 7.5kg model for three months. Bought it (unfortunately) just before extra manufacturer's discounts were on offer, but that's life. Very quiet, gets clothes clean quickly. Two adults use it. We tend to wash using the cottons or the mixed load default settings. Both cycles are much faster and more thorough than our old front loader. Front… Read more ·  1

loaders are gentler on fabrics that top loaders, in my experience. Some people complain about the manual being confusing, but sadly some folk complain about almost everything. Instructions are really pretty straight forward, and not Chinglish. The default settings should suit most folk anyway. You turn on the water, put your stuff in, shut the door, add detergent, select your cycle and press the start button; not a lot of instruction needed really! Being able to add forgotten things mid-cycle without causing a flood is a nice feature. Our old Thor front loader lasted 13 years. If this one gets near that I will have no reason to complain. Bought it from a small Aussie firm in Melbourne called DomTech. Well pleased with them too.

Very disappointed with after-sales service – Very disappointed! The machine initially seemed good (washes well), but after only 5 months the rubber seal at the door split, leading to a small pool of water on the floor. Called Customer Care Australia, and a woman on the phone told me that she would organise for someone to come out and replace the seal. I duly waited until the day the… Read more

technician came out, a man who took one look and immediately told me that the seal was not covered under warranty. Instead, this would cost me $250 plus GST ($100 for the replacement part, plus $80 call out fee, plus at minimum $70 labour).

The technician suggested that a piece of clothing had probably got caught on seal. I explained that our previous washing machine, an LG front loader, had lasted 12 years! Surely the material on this Bosch one must be poor quality? He was sympathetic, but there was nothing he could do. He told me that the woman on the phone was probably based in the UK and may not realise that the rubber gasket is not covered. And sure enough when I called the Customer Care Australia again, a man in England answered. He told me the technician had logged on the system that he had not been able to fix it under warranty because the problem was “due to misuse”. This is exceptionally poor after-sales service, in my opinion, which will make me think twice before buying any more Bosch products.

Reliable – We’ve had this washing machine for over a year and been pleased with it. I’ve been cloth diapering for the whole time we’ve owned it so it gets a good work out - the “Kidswear” setting takes a while (3+hrs) but the diapers come out clean. There’s the option of 90C which is useful. “Delicate” setting works well for silks and other fine fabrics.… Read more

General washing I tend to use the “Mix” setting which is about an hour. We do multiple loads a week so the water and electricity efficiency is a big plus. Given the varied type and quantity of washing we do I’ve been impressed - particularly for the cost of the washer.

Quick and Quiet – I bought this product online, quickly delivery to my home. The washing machine is good, I like the super quick mode which I normally use to wash socks, the delicate mode is great for silk and clothes that normally require hand wash. It's normally quiet when washing, I use the spin function after using delicate, so that it would be quicker for the clothes to dry. It 's good for family use, even quilt and blanket washing is great. Show details ·  1

Two months out of warranty, Bosch refuses to fix an ongoing problem – I've always held Bosch in high regard, believing they stood for quality and durability. Sadly, my recent experience with their washing machine has been nothing short of disappointing. Six months ago, I faced an issue with the door lock mechanism of the machine. After reaching out to Bosch, they promptly repaired it, which I appreciated. Fast… Read more

forward to now, the SAME issue has returned. What's more frustrating is when I contacted Bosch again, they informed me that the machine is two months out of warranty, and hence, any repairs would be at my expense.

It seems quite rigid to decline a repair for an issue that was 'fixed' just six months ago, only because it's a couple of months out of warranty. I remember a time when buying a Bosch meant you were investing in reliability. I sincerely hope Bosch takes this feedback to heart and revisits their product quality and customer service protocols.

terrible disapointing – I purchased the Bosh washing machine under 3 years ago. A common fault of water leaking from the filter, with the filter stuck. Making removal very difficult has happened. I have been told it is out of its 2 year warranty and i will have to pay for the repair. of around $150 which according to my research will happen again over and over. So we waited for the part. The part they brought didnt work. They didn't offer a full refund. They said they could only replace it, but would take upto 8 weeks and with no guarantee it would be available then. They said another person had also been waiting for longer. Quiet great but only one too long 3hr setting to wash a 7.5kg load size – Love that it is quiet. My partner bought the machine for its maximum load size of 7.5kg however the only setting available for that is a way too long duration of over 3hrs. This is not practical for a large family with large loads. Other settings are great for smaller loads. My partner won't be buying a machine alone next time. Show details

sooo good after washing them! All the different settings are great for removing all the guesswork out of the appropriately washing different types of fabric/materials. Admittedly, I didn’t know how much 7.5kgs would equate to in terms of how I do my washing, so I would advise to go a bit bigger, I can only just fit in my super king doublet cover in this machine, but that may suit some people just fine.
