An appalling product for the money – This is a truely disappointing product for the money. As many others have said Tangles sheets in a way that seems almost impossible. If on a rare occasion they don’t tangle they end up in a complete ball inside the fitted sheets completely wet and the dryer has finished. Dries clothes somewhat well but takes 3.5 hours to do so It can dry… Read more

towels!

I got rid of an old but working Simpson drier and I regret the decision every time I use it. It was noisy and used a lot of power but it got the job done fast and well. Even now a replacement is only $375 not $1200 and I’m seriously thinking of changing it over.

Shame on you Bosch, your customer service when I called to complain was also rubbish. “Just fold the sheets 3 times before you put them in then they won’t tangle”. Didn’t work and there is. O resolution no matter how many times I called

Unit does NOT dry well – Have owned the unit for about 2 years (we put up with it that long). Basically the unit does NOT work well Note:- Filters cleaned after each load, cleaned the moisture sensors, all to no avail- throw in three bath sheet towels and maybe in 6-8 hours they may be close to dry but not quite. Throw in an 8 kg mixed load and you could be drying for… Read more

10-12 hours and they will still not be dry. As for sheets - they end up as tangled damp balls. Use of the machine features was easy just very poor at actually drying anything Just changed it out for a Beko condensor dryer and the first load of towels dried within 2 hours.

One star too many! – Very expensive in comparison to alternative machines. It has changed the reputation Bosch once had. Very regretful purchase. Worst dryer I've owned. Not suitable for bed linen and varies greatly when drying clothing. Show details

It was good for the most part – I had this machine for 4yrs and the cone in the back of the drum broke off during a load one day. How? I don't know. We were told by Harvey Norman that Bosch wouldn't fix it because it was out of warranty. And the machine couldn't be used without the cone as it holds the drum in place. Such an expensive machine for only 4yrs. Very disappointing. Show details

Avoid at all costs, 8 star efficiency because it doesn't dry clothes!! – Terrible product, tangles clothes, runs for 2 hours and stops when still wet. *May* end with dry clothes if you run it twice ie. 4 hours!! Show details

Worst dryer I've had. Avoid – Needed new dryer after my trusty F&P gave up. Wanted to avoid China made dryer so Bosch Series 6. The worst. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Sheets end balled up and therefore still wet. Have to tie opposite corners together and then half way through drying and unball , separate and tie sheets again. No dial for select time only on high. All preset modes… Read more

only. Has cost me a lot of money, electricity, time and effort. Angry every time I use it. Seriously thinking about getting rid of it.

Great dryer – I have used this dryer for more than year now, replaced a T1 Miele. It has been working great so far and hopefully continues to do so (the miele didn't last as long as i hoped). I mainly use this for cotton garments and bedding. Most of the time i use the "cotton cupboard dryer" function which goes for around 3 hours (if there is less clothes it… Read more

can be shorter, the machine adjusts). The garments come out dry, sometimes heatpump dryers have clothes come out feeling a bit damp but not with this regime. The bedding may get tangled up occasionally if you don't button up the quilt cover (at times I've been lazy), otherwise I had no issue. Overall great dryer at reasonable price. I'll update this review if there are any issues in the future.

Terrible dryer for sheets and doona covers – This dryer has no reverse function apparently, which results in fitted sheets and doona covers turning into tightly packed balls that need to be unwound every 15-30 minutes manually in order to dry, or perfect balancing of a matching sized item so they ball less frequently. Even then you can expect to have to take them out un-ball them by hand… Read more

after 45 mins.

This is outrageous for a $1500+ machine.

With our king doona cover this happens so often I just hang it out to dry instead as it requires less work, and don’t wash when it’s rainy, which means you have to organize your life around the dryers lack of functionality.

The button sensitivity on the front control panel is poor, and you often have to poke the buttons 3-4 times to start or pause the dryer, which gets very irritating after unballing sheets 5-6 times per load

The machine is serviceable for clothes, and seems to adequately sense when they’re dry.

It appears to use 40% more power, and is about that much louder than our old Siemens heat pump dryer which is quite disappointing for something that is supposedly a higher star rating.

The noise level is acceptable in an enclosed laundry with door shut, whereas the Siemens was fine in an open area. It appears that Bosch cheaper out on the sound deadening on the side panels based on how much more they drum.

If you ever wash anything bigger than a towel, get a different dryer with a reverse function.

You may as well get a $600 aldi heat pump dryer as at least you won’t feel ripped off if it’s crap, and you will have money left over to pay the kids a wage to unball the sheets.

What? You expect it to dry sheets?? – 2 complaints with this dryer. First is that the clothes come out damp if you only use the automaton settings. Eg we use "mixed" for our normal clothes and "towels" for towels and sheets (there is no sheet setting). A lot of reviewers of condenser dryers have been told that "you're just not used to the way the condenser dryer drys… Read more

clothes".......Utter bull you know what!!! I am not stupid, I know the difference between dry and damp and the clothes are 100% damp every time, except for maybe some lighter items eg nickers. Every single load we use Mixed and then another 20 minutes on Timed program warm, then the clothes are dry. The second complaint is that this is the worlds worst dryer for sheets (Grrrrr) no matter what I do the sheet ends up in a tight wet little ball after even 5 minutes. I literally spent 2 hours trying to dry one king size sheet (there is no sheet setting, it just keeps going in the same rotation/direction until the sheet resembles a basketball) and just gave up (we are in an apartment with no clothes line) and put the sheet over a clothes airer. In Bosch's defence I believe that the above 2 problems are not unique to the bosch dryer. UPDATE : After pulling a quilt cover out that had magically gotten the 2 pillow cases inside it and all 3 items were slightly less wet than straight out of the washing machine, I have changed rating to 1 star, this dryer is absolute rubbish and my last bosch product ever
