Leaking machine after 6 months
After 6 months the rubber seal split and warranty wasn’t honoured. Another $400 to replace the seal.
Bosch is not made like they used too.
They provided care instructions in the reply to decline my request for a claim.
I have been a bosch customer for over 20 years, and now will never buy a bosch appliance again. Just isn’t worth the extra money you pay for quality if a seal can easily tear and cause to leak after 6 months.
Save your cash and buy a cheaper product.

Bosch Blame everything else
Ever since I have had this machine, I stress every time i put a load of washing on, T Shirts in particular.
They come out consistently stained with what appears to be oil. I then have to re-wash twice with stain remover to remove these stains. It is like a lottery whether they will get fresh stains each time I wash .. it is a Nightmare .. I have worn out and ruined so many clothes. The first service call I had, the so-called Bosch technician blamed everything known to man except the machine, Clean your DOS dispenser, too much detergent, apparen...

Great machine until it broke
I bought the 8 series washing machine from Good Guys. I absolutely loved it! However after 2.5 years it started leaking underneath when the cycle was running. Checked the drainage plug and nothing blocking it. The machine was not even 3 years old and stopped working. Motor seems to not spin at all and the door is locked with cloths inside. There is a lot of water damage inside the bottom of the machine and around the electrics, it appears to be leaking around the back of the detergent dispenser. We were expecting a German made machine to last, so was happy to pay a premium. Very disappointed to not even reach 3 years before having to buy another washing machine, and unsure if it’s worth trying to fix the Bosch.

Great machine. Love the idos
This is a great machine. We've had it 8 months now so time for a review. Although the first unit that arrived wasn't working out the box and had damage on the side, Binglee arranged a replacement unit almost immediately. I initially called Bosch about the problem and they were very unhelpful and rude - it seems one goes through to their UK callcenter and the lady on the line was rudely giving me advice on a dishwasher not washing machine and then told me theyd send a replacement part which would take 2 weeks! The machine is very quiet and th...e Idos system is awesome - saves some much time and it has very large tanks for detergent and softener so you don't have to keep topping it up all the time. It also takes a very large load and the control panel is very easy to use and flexible. I particularly like that you can change the hours up and down on delayed start - my old machine only went in one direction so if you had to adjust the hours back you had to go through the whole cycle again.

Noisy machine and well over-rated
I was looking for a new front loader since my current Samsung Front Loader Bubblewash 7.5kg is too small for the growing family. Primary requirement was to ensure it does not vibrate and quiet.
Purchased the Bosch on Monday from Appliances Online and received delivery the next day with installation.
Washed the first load of clothes and was shocked to find out how noisy the machine is whilst it was spinning at 1,200 RPM plus there was vibration. The 5 year old Samsung was way quieter. I decided to give it a chance and used it the next day on ...half load. Once again, the machine was noisy and vibrated badly. Bare in mind, the machine was professionally installed by appliances online and they ensured the machine is levelled before leaving. Even with the laundry door closed, we could hear the machine and feel the vibration on the floor (tiled flooring on timber boards). Bosch, please let me know how you can fix this issue. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Love it. but a few things that would make me happier
I bought a matching pair.heat pump dryer and this WAW28620AU washing machine.
i love the idose system. but i'm a little dissappointed with it. when i washed sheets they came out in a tight ball.only rotates 1 way only.
secondly i have found this has a smaller tub than my old 8 kg electrolux. so now i can not wash some item's that i used to wash. also when wash completed there is still a heap of water in the rubber sock/seal around door at bottom.

This is my third Bosch washing machine and performs just as well as the others I have had. Very good quality, excellent performance and durability. I like the soap dispenser function on this machine too.
My complaint with this model is that it does not have a SPIN function!! It has RINSE & SPIN but this is a combined function which starts with drawing in more water. If you want to do a quick wash of only a couple of items the machine often does not fully spin as there is not enough load to balance, the result being wet clothes. No spin functi...on means you then have to either try RINSE & SPIN (which usually has same result....unbalanced spin = wet clothes) or drag the sodden clothes outside to the line where they literally drip dry! So frustrating. I will not buy another Bosch machine without a separate SPIN function. They need to rectify this!

Poor quality and service
This about 8 months old smart(?) washing machine got water leaking from the front door - Lodged a service call on 14th July and a tech finally came in today and fixed the damage on the boot gasket by replacing it, he said it was due to some clothes caught in the door while in operation and it was a user fault and was not covered by the warranty, so I had to pay $182 including $110 of the service call-out fee that I was advised today. I am not happy with the overall process of this service call. Maybe because my expectation was too high but their service standard is not too high to satisfy their customers.

Wow i-Dos and quality engineering all in one package!
We wash a lot, as we have 3 kids including newborn clothing. So our kids clothes are always dirty with vomit, food and dirt. My wife also has a lot of 'delicate cold wash items'. We owned a Miele WDA110 for 3+ years which would be very aggressive (on cottons / woolens with cold) and not clean clothes properly. I did a lot of reviewing prior to purchase of my WAW28620AU. I was set on the i-Dos system and the fact I can set water temp in cotton from "Cold - 90c" range. My Miele was limited to 30c on cottons as the lowest setting. The Quick 15/30 ...is a great option and I find it does a good job for light soiling. Far better than the express 20' on my old machine, which was locked to 40c and would shrink anything. So far the i-Dos is dispensing as it should. When the machine is on it's spin cycle I find it very quiet, much more quieter than our old machine. I tend to use the Eco Cycle overnight with the timer so the wash is energy efficient and complete by the morning. We are not waking from any wash or spin cycle overnight as this would be set to be completed by 9am, so it would commence automatically at around 5.30am - 6am. I have only had this machine two weeks, so I hope it will last the test of time. Hopefully given German engineering and a solid reputation I would expect so. I looked at the home professional models, but the best deal was going to be an extra $399 for little options like stain mode an an LED light etc. You can obviously increase the speed of the wash and use extra power with speedperfect. We use this at night if we need a quick wash to dry overnight, for an hour wash it does a tremendous job. To get an equal machine from Miele I would need $4499 for a WWV980 WPS. I think it is not worth $3200 more than this Bosch! Only drawback is certain modes are weight limited. eg: Easycare is limited to 4kg and it will vary depending on the mode. Even Quickwash reduces capacity. The only true 9kg wash is a cotton mode.

Wish I had invested earlier
Wish I had invested earlier! I had a 5.5 kg Bosch Washing machine for eight years previous to this model. Whilst it was good it wasn’t exceptional as I’d been led to believe From the sales person. But it turns out that whilst most of their washing machines are made in Germany there is A model thrown in that is made in China. I only found this out when I was looking for a replacement last month. This is where my old machine Was from. So here I am now with a 9 kg made in Germany washing machine. I can’t fault it. From features such as adding in t...he forgotten sock to a quick wash, to so much more the brand has thought of everything. It also has pre-loaded washing liquid and softener dispenser. So all you need to do is load and start. I thought I wouldn’t be bothered by this feature but I absolutely love it and can tell I’m using less of both which is saving in the Longrun. It is quick and so very quiet. But for us the best feature is it size. being a family of five with three kids under 12 years of age I have a lot of washing including sheets and doonas so I needed something that would stop me doing 10 loads a day. Now I actually have 2 to 3 days where I don’t have to do washing because I get it all done in one or two loads. It’s fantastic. I was able to do my king size sheets and doona cover all in one wash! Feels very fancy LOL. Overall very very happy and worth every dollar. We were Contemplating buying Miele but it was just out of our price range and now I feel we have something equally as good

Very good washer so far..
I brought this washing machine 7 months ago so far so good. Few things i did find was abit pooling of water on the door when the wash had finished and drips onto the floor simliar the one of the other reviewers and thats annoying and today i was doing a mix 45 minute cycle then for one reason after i checked about 10 minutes later it was on 53 minutes.I have found when i do towels in particular they are still quite damp not as dry when the cycle has finished. I hope all this isnt the start of any issues..

Very happy with the machine.
I purchased a Bosch WAW28260AU front loader washing machine to replace my old Bosch machine that I had purchased in May 2013. The door catch became faulty and as I had relocated to a distant location it was very hard to get it fixed, so I decided to purchase a new machine.
The new Bosch front loader is very similar to my old one - very similar washing presets so it was easy for me to use. I have 3 boxes left of powder so I decided to disable the automatic dosage which only works with liquid detergent until they are used up and I have purchased...liquid detergent on special for when this happens so that I am ready! The automatic dosage sounds exciting as the machine calculates how much liquid detergent to dose depending on the soiled laundry, weight and type (which the user inputs when selecting the cycle). Then the machine automatically doses until the unit is empty and lets you know that you need to add more detergent - no need to add detergent each cycle. This is supposed to be much more efficient as people tend to use too much detergent or washing powder in front loaders and meant to save you lots of money in the long run. The only worry I have about this feature is that I've read some users have the detergent sticking and therefore causing errors. I'll see about this when I use it. I usually use the cottons, mixed clothing, easy and silk settings (the silk setting I like to use with a small coin like amount of wool mix). All the settings seemed to work well like my older machine. My old machine had a 5 star rating and this machine 4.5 but it seems to be really efficient and shows the power and amount of water used when you select each cycle. I like to always use the eco cycle with any cycle I select as it uses less water and power. There is a drum wash on this unit which was missing on my last front loader. If you do not wash your clothes on higher than 40C for a number of times, you will need to utilise the drum wash feature and you need to use it when you first set up the machine. I like to wash my bedding and towels on high 80C so that they get thoroughly disinfected, so I don't think I will use this feature often. All in all I'm quite happy with this machine. As someone else mentioned, the water does pool a little after the wash cycle has finished. I keep the machine door open and the washing powder/detergent drawer open after every cycle to dry out. This front loader cost a lot less than my original machine which I paid for 7 years ago at $2,196. This machine was priced at $1,599 at the Good Guys. I'm hoping it will last at least as long as my old one at 7 years.

Only 1 serious fault!
This is a great machine with only one serious fault to be aware of when buying. On the good side, it is a perfect example of German engineering. I am in awe of this machine and bought it after reading so many great reviews. The only problem is that after the wash cycle is finished, there is water pooling in the door seal. This water can also drip down onto the floor. The only solution is to wipe it up after every wash before taking out the clean clothes. It seems to be a design fault. It his problem is fixed I would happily recommend this machine and rate it 5 stars!

Such a terrible washing machine . This is of no use .
I have tried different programs with this washing machine and none of them removes the dirt . This is very evident with the baby clothes . Perfume smell on the clothes stays . Not recommended to spend money on this .

Questions & Answers
I cannot release the I-dos drawer to clean it. It seems to be stuck. I don’t want to break the clips, they don’t seem to be very strong.
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch washing machine.
Instructions on how to clean your i-DOS detergent draw and its housing is in your user manual on pages 51-52 we would recommend to follow these instructions to avoid any damage. If you need any more help, feel free to contact our customer careline on 1300 369 744.

Hi I have an ongoing problem with detergent dispenser drawer - the warning light and beeping comes on incorrectly indicating that the drawer isn't closed. After opening and re-closing the drawer it will reset and I can start the cycle. I've also cleaned the dispenser. But now it has completely stopped - I think its a service issue but any ideas? Thanks.
