Dryer is a word that shouldn’t be used anywhere near this expensive ornament – Absolute Garbage. 9kg machine but if you put 9kgs of clothes in it be prepared to wait 6hrs 35 minutes for clothes that feel like a football sock damp. I wish I read the reviews before purchasing this expensive ornament. My friends use it as a stand for their old school cheap dryer that actually works.
Mine is 2 days old and I’ve spent nearly 2 days drying 2 loads of washing. Could have put them on the dash of my car and achieved a better result in that time.
Will never purchase anything Bosch again as it seems they are not German Quality anymore and made cheap in other countries with German retail price.

The dryer does not DRY clothes efficiently, it takes forever, it keeps turning off and sheets get tangled and twisted. Ive tried numerous settings but the items are always damp.'
I called customer services who basically ignored my concerns and said it was a wonderful machine.
I bought these appliances in 2021. It was the last one in stock, lucky me. I am disgusted to now read the reviews dating back to 2016 - so Bosch knew there were issues and should refund all customers. I wish Id never given away my Simpson dyer which I had no issue with and clothes came out warm and dry. I will never buy another BOSCH appliance again.

of the clothes can be plumbed straight into the sink so you never have to empty a tank. It's incredibly energy efficient and saves us a fortune in bills during winter when it's too damp and cold to line dry everything. The manual is easy to read and understand, and includes useful graphics for helping you to appreciate the various sounds the machine might make (but see below). It's generally very quiet, with an occasional burst of noise while it drains water and even then it's still pretty quiet. It's a nice looking machine that can be mounted on top of a front loading washer.
What I don't love: If you put sheets in it they will ball up. You need to interrupt the cycle a couple of times, take everything out and reload it. It seems to help if I load the sheets by feeding them into the machine in a particular way, loosely laying them backwards and forwards in folds. Annoying but not a game changer for me. I'm assuming that a reverse tumble would compromise the energy efficiency and that's our priority. If there's a trick to loading sheets it would be good to have that included in the manual. While the instruction booklet was good I needed to go online to find out how to solve what seems to be the most common problem with this dryer; what to do if your clothes are still damp! It turns out you can just put things on for an extra timed burst to finish them off. Simple, but I would have been spared a lot of frustration (and a potentially poor review) if this had been clearly explained in the manual. If you're short on time it's worth noting that there is a fast cycle option on this dryer. This seems to be a feature of Bosch design. My dishwasher also takes incredibly long to complete a cycle unless I use the fast cycle option. I'm assuming that fast means hot, so I wouldn't use it for things that might shrink or get damaged. The fast cycle takes about an hour. Once again, it would have been handy if the manual was written from the perspective of your average person wanting to just get their clothes dry ASAP. Maybe I should rewrite their manual for them :D

I think some people expect clothes to come out of the dryer bone dry! Not the best practice. It ruins your clothes and increases ironing, again damaging clothes.
Yes when you open the dryer they may feel damp but in fact that's the correct way a dryer should work, if you spend 2 minutes hanging the clothes you will notice a reduced ironing time and far better looking clothes.

We also have a Bosch washing machine and - after using both Miele and Asko dryers and washing machines - are extremely happy we chose the Bosch machines!

learnt this (it wasn't an obvious instruction in the manual) I haven't looked back. I don't mind that I have to empty the water each use. It does tangle towels and sheets together so I try not to do a lot of those together. The comments from Bosch on these reviews are ridiculous, they should know how their dryer works and teach their customers the correct setting that actually drys clothes! Great buy for us!

type of "heat pump" dryer made for places with no ventilation, and it is great. No heat or condensation at all! Noise levels are equal to other types. It did cost twice as much as the washing machine I bought with it but so worth it. In terms of electricity consumption, I haven't seen a big increase and I do dry everything. Highly recommended.

Bosch should be paying to fix this at the least (the main board has to be replaced and the door latch has snapped…. Note we have to buy a new door as the repairer can’t get the latch on its own).
Wouldn’t recommend this dryer. When we go back to buy a new dryer, we wont even consider Bosch.
It simply does not dry your clothes – Our family have found that the Bosch safety features to prevent house fires means your clothes are not dry when the cycle finishes. It does not offer a timed hot dry cycle. The dryer utilises sensors to determine if clothes are dry. They are very often not, particularly for towels. German over engineering gone wrong! Show details

actually works.... First set the "Fine Adjust" to the warmest setting. Then use ONLY the Timed Program (bottom right option). We found about 60-80 minutes dryed the clothes.
Doesn't reverse tumble – A good drier but the lack of reverse tumble causes items to go into tight tangle especially sheets so drying has to be supervised with a detangle every 30 minutes or so. Show details

This is perfect - if your about to throw it out – 5 months after we bought this machine: the switch was replaced. 12 months later the drum became bent: machine replaced. 2.5 years later: no matter what setting the clothes are still damp. Tried 5 different settings and run the machine an entire day - clothes still damp. Even the so called 40 degree Celsius setting will not dry the clothes. takes over 4 hours to dry. Any other continues to stop and after manually shuffling the clothes around, with two more attempts, the clothes still feel damp. This product is absolute rubbish. It appears that many others have incurred similar problems. I could very easily be persuaded to start a class action against ‘Bosch‘ for marketing a product that fails to deliver on many counts. Doesn’t dry. Balls up the clothes – I am soooo disappointed with this dryer. It simply doesn’t dry. It doesn’t reverse rotate so sheets end up in one big ball. Despite having the water tank draining to the trough I still have to empty the reservoir. Plus the door is flaky and requires some fiddling to get the dryer to run. Class action? This expensive dud dryer just does not work – Purchased 2 years ago, even from start had to put this on the most extreme setting to dry and it took 6 hours. Even that didn't work some times and now it just doesn't dry on any setting. Three calls to Bosch, one technician visit. I have now written formally requesting action from Bosch. And most importantly, useless with large towels or bed sheet. they will roll too fast and become like a sausage and will not dry at all.
