Update after 3 years – Having owned, used and now replaced my Dynamic Duo I thought that I would update my earlier review. Features: Breville have done a great job with the design of the Duo - double boiler, PID temperature controller, heated group head (not E61 though), pre-infusion, shot timer etc. It comes with a good tamper and the levelling tool is great when you are getting used to the machine. The control panel generates alerts when cleaning is required and the pressure gauge helps getting the grind and tamping just right. Settings such as shot time, pre-infusion, water temperature etc can be customised and saved. Coffee Quality: With a bit of fiddling I was able to consistently produce a good quality expresso and cappuccino. Certainly as good as a typical coffee shop. My main issue was with the quality of the grinder. Build Quality: To pack all these features into a machine at a reasonable price (sub $2,000) means that the build quality is just not there. I had a number of niggling problems from the date of purchase and the Breville help desk were incapable of helping. In the end both the grinder and the expresso machine both failed and the machine was binned. Harvey Norman, as always, provided excellent service during the process of trying to get the issues resolved.
Purchased in at Harvey Norman.

Great coffee everyday! BREVILLE! – Outstanding machine, my wife is the best barista. Consistently full bodied flavoured coffee. Cleaning and maintaining is simple. Grinder could be a little better but overall very good value for money. Very stylish and looks great in the kitchen.
Purchased at Harvey Norman for $800.
