Breville Risotto & Rice BRC510 / BRC520 Questions & Answers
VerifiedI put rice directly inside the cooker without the bowl in it. Now there is rice stuck inside the cooker, what should I do?
Can I get a new bowl for the BRC520 ? Mine has the coating peeling off.
Just bought this rice cooker and after just putting in 2 cups rice with the correct amount of water it flicked to warm in just 5 mins. Rice was nowhere near cooked and water left over. I checked the troubleshooting and put it back on. Within a few minutest switched to warm again. This repeated 4 times until i gave up and used my old scratched rice cooker. I did all thr preperation as stated in the instructions. Do i have a dud or am i missing something obvious? Im really dissapointed as i usually trust thr breville brand. Any other suggestions for a great rice and risotto maker would also be appreciated

WE have exactly the same issue! Time after time again. Did you ever receive an answer to this problem? Is it a dude?
Just an update. I took it back to the good guys and got a full refund. They were great. After troubleshooting online and checking everything and trying more times I think it was a dud. I ended up buying a panasonic and its absolutely fantastic. Brilliant rice. I highly reccomend that brand. Bought it from bing lee. Does jasmin, basmati and long grain excellent. Havent t4ied brown yet.. dont want to slag off breville either. I bought there top of the line food processor with case last year and its brilliant
Can i cook brown rice with this rice cooker?
thanks
Yes! you can cook brown rice.
Due to additional water needed, some starchy water bubbles may rise to the lid while cooking.
Actually it depends on which brown rice you cook. if it's the asian brown rice that has a reddish brown one, i reckon it's not gonna be easy even you already soak it overnight in a bowl of water. if it's the brown basmati/mahatma rice you buy in a coles/woolies/iga, yes you can but gotta put more water. that's based on my experience.
