Sturdy, effective and easy to clean – This is the first juicer we've owned and has proven to be a good investment for getting rid of apples and other fruits which are past their prime in the fruit bowl. The components of this juicer are still in good condition after 6 months of use. Overall the build quality seems to be good and most of the parts are surviving regular washes in the… Read more

dishwasher (except for the large plastic plunger and waste bin which we wash under the tap). The only minor fault with the unit is that some of the elements on the display screen no longer light up. Also, unsure if a design flaw or just the reality of juicing, however occasionally when juicing a large batch of fruit it is hard to judge the fill level of the output jug and the unit will start blowing sticky froth out of the top of the jug. Careful attention to the level can help avoid this. Care also needs to be taken whilst feeding oranges into the unit as they seem to occasionally "bounce" and throw up small amounts of juice. Despite these small setbacks (which possibly stem from the simple, elegant design of the machine), the resulting juice is tasty and the waste is usually very dry, which is testament to the Frooji's effectiveness.

Great juicer! – I originally saw this at the Qantas Club lounge and couldn't believe how well it worked for all types of fruit and vegetables. The next day after returning home I ended up buying two - one for me and one for a birthday gift. Initially I used mine almost every day - however the novelty wore off due to the relatively lengthy cleaning time. I like… Read more

the idea someone had about putting a plastic bag i n the container - I never thought of that and it will save some cleaning/rinsing time for the pulp catchment.

The juice always comes out the same consistency and quality and I like having the option to have a more thicker consistency by changing the equipment over (juicer or a blender type of thing).

One thing I have noticed though is that the juicer blade is beginning to wear out - after about one year, it has become harder for it to juice harder fruits and vegetable like carrots. I'm not sure if this is something you need to keep replacing - I would assume so given the blades won't stay sharp forever - but I can't recall ever reading or hearing the sales person mention that I would need to replace the blade after a year. Especially given I haven't used it all that much really.

Overall, I recommend this product - it's reliable and looks good, however make sure you close the doors and windows if you're juicing in the morning as it'll wake up your neighbours!

Love the machine, disappointed with the customer service department though – Purchased the juicer 14 months ago. I noticed a fault in the mesh part of the filter 3-4 months ago and I realise I should have addressed the issue at that point however I failed to do so until last week. I contacted the customer service centre to discuss the problem and they were completely disinterested and told me the juicer was out of… Read more

warranty! After thinking about it for a short time I called the customer service centre a second time and purely because I told them I was dissatisfied with their initial reaction they told me to take the filter to one of their service centres and the bloke would have a look at it and replace the item if he felt that appropriate. Although he agreed with me in relation to the faulty filter he said because it was out of warranty all he could do was take some photos, forward them to Breville and hopefully someone would be in touch with me. Still waiting, very disappointed. A rather expensive machine and now I could be up for a further $100 or so to replace the file and it's only 14 months old. I don't think that is fair nor reasonable!

great machine – great but still a problem cleaning sometimes - I wish they had a way where it would clean itself. I really only use it to make juices as I use my vitamix for smoothies but sometimes I prefer just juice and this is perfect. Show details

Great at whole pieces of fruit! – This is a very robust machine. Great quality juice and beautiful looking setup. The only problem I see is the cleaning involved with using a juicer. But you get that with any juicer. The soft fruit attachments have never been used. So I can’t say if they are useful or not. It’s not terribly noisy so won’t drive everyone out of the kitchen when you use it. Show details

Fruity fun! – I started a thyroid diet, which needed me to drink celery juice every morning. I also experimented with vegetable juice blends, and it doesn't transfer any heat to the juice. It also does fruit in a separate blade, so I feel like it's a complete setup. The froojie was excellent. Quick, sharp and effective. And best of all, sooo simple to clean.  Show details

Failed after about 2 years – Unit broke down after little use for over two years. I would expect more live from the product as is was not the cheapest. When was working I’ve been very happy with the job that’s been doing. I also realize that Breville offer only one year replacement warranty on this product not sure why?.... I hope this is just a bad luck as I have a lot of appreciation for this Company.  Show details

Don't ever buy from Breville Factory Shop – Over a year ago I bought this juicer from factory shop, It never seemed to be right, but as it was a 2 hour round trip to the shop i let it go until it got worse, I took it back and after been put down in the shop I took it for repair, after a month they had to give me a new one, this lasted about 6 or 7 months, then it exploded, It was 1 month… Read more

out of warranty, The Breville help line is disgusting and arrogant, they would not replace it, Then i called again and said the motor warranty is 5 years, so they said take it for repair, the repair shop said they do not have replacement motors, so my $200 machine went in the bin, Never again Breville

Terrible – This is the second Breville juicer I have bought that has broken down. I don't care if it's under warranty, it's not worth my time and money to go driving around to get it replaced. The main thing I want from any product is for it to last a couple of years. I'm very unhappy about this and will be the last Breville purchase I make. Looks okay… Read more

A wonderful investment in obtaining vitamins and minerals from your fresh fruit and vegetables!! – The feeder tube is a nice diameter, easy to put your pieces in to the juicer, it takes a few seconds to go from solid to liquid, the nutrients are ready to consume right away! It can handle the hard vegetables and fruits right down to kiwi fruit and rock melon. Variable speeds are easy to select, no drama there. The waste bin is huge so you don't… Read more

Can’t fault it – I bought this juicer after reading multiple reviews and found it on sale at Harvey Norman. It’s easy to clean (some stuff in hot soapy water immediately after use) and some parts are dishwasher safe. Lots of juice extracted, I use half 3/4 of celery and makes me about 600-800ml for the week. I’m yet to make many other juices but will give carrot a… Read more

Great Juicer – Great Juicer. Its wide chute enable you it juice apples etc without pre-cutting. The pulp container is large and juice extraction is efficient. It's fairly quiet during operation. It's only downside is that its footprint is rather large, but that's unavoidable considering the job it has to do

Just what I was after! – I've had this juicer for about a month now and have used it every day without incident. I rinse it immediately after I've used it so it's easy to clean, and I give it a once-a-week proper wash in soapy water. I bought a 3 year extended warranty on the whole appliance for $50 so I feel assured this will last me a long time. Since starting juicing… Read more

1 lemon

a small piece of ginger

Really Great Juicer – Bought this juicer after I returned a crap juicer and this is 1 week old and hasn't missed a beat. It chops through the hard vegies with no strain at all. We are very happy and it seems to have strong stainless steel top section not cheap plastic. This is a good model, we are happy perfect for those boost juices but at 1/4 of the cost.  Show reply

Just Wonderful – What a difference the machine has made to our life styles. Had an old cold press juicer however my new Breville one leaves it way behind. Juices so many varieties of foods easily without leaving fibres or by products stuck to filters. Efficient and easy to clean. Settings for different textures of food. Waste product is almost dry showing how much juice is extracted. LOVE IT

Juicy stuff – This is the first juicer I have purchased and what a cracker. Easiest operation ever and juice is wonderful. Cleaning up takes about 5 minutes so happy with that. If you are thinking about buying a different juicer give yourself an uppercut and get this one.

Excellent centrifugal juicer – 1) Good quality material used in this product, and well constructed. Taking it apart and putting it back together was easy, which makes washing easy. 2) Make no mistakes. This is a very powerful machine, and yet quiet when operating a full speed. It leaves the pulps pretty dry. I previously owned a Tefal infinity cold press juicer. This juice easily puts the Tefal juice to shame.

Fabulous Juicer! Cannot fault it! – Purchased this Breville Juicer after a Philips Quickclean one basically blew up after only a few uses. provided. No need to wash the pulp container either if you pre-line it, I use the large freezer bags as they fit the pulp bin perfectly. I also like that you can juice straight into a glass or another container (other than into the jug provided), you just attach the little rubber nozzle for this. The juice produced has no pulp in it, and that's the way I like it. I have yet to use the puree disc, so cannot comment on this function of the machine. I purchased it from Harvey Norman for $249.00.

Absolutely wonderful – I have only had my Breville Froojie Juice Fountain for a few weeks but I think it is wonderful. Everything is juiced completely and the pulp is dry. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a juicer. It also makes yummy smoothies. Very easy to use and not too bad to clean. Reliable and very handy. Only thing wrong is that it is made in China.

Wonderful alternative to using TWO appliances – This is exactly what the market needed! I prefer my juice to have a bit more ooomph than just a plain juice so until the Froojie landed on my doorstep, I'd use my juicer and then use my blender to add a whole banana or berries. More than once, I didn't follow through my urge to make juice because I couldn't bear the thought of having to clean two… Read more

applicances. Which makes the Froojie the perfect alternative.

The puree attachment isn't as good as a blender, of course, and the juice ends up just a little chunky but it's still small enough to drink through a straw (or a bottle, as my children do) and considering the time and mess it saves me, it is well worth it.

Thoroughly recommended. Large chute, puree option, easy to clean, handy jug Puree involves a little wastage of otherwise usable fruit

Ikon Froojie 5 speed juicer – Just bought one of these juicers from Good Guys who beat Bing Lee's sale price of $299 by $1, so I got it for $118!!! I have found it is best to stack the feeding tube with produce THEN switch on (after speed selection of course(). There is around about one second wind up to speed which is great, gives time to get fingers off the off/on button… Read more

and concentrate on the juicing. I also found it best to not force the pusher if all veges etc in the tube don't juice straight away and the motor seems to labour just back off until that bit has been juiced and then put a bit more pressure on etc etc. even doing this and even on the lower speeds it is still super fast.. Sounds good to me so I hope you all understand what I mean.

Someone mentioned about an obstruction in the feed chute, I guess this is to stop the whole fruit from just dropping down onto blades until the unit is switched on and it is also probably to help break up the larger fruit before it goes onto the blades.

So far I have not had any major probs with leafy greens. I just put on low speed, wrap the greens together in a cigar/cylinder/roundish shape and pack into chute then turn on while the the pusher is pushing down.

Sorry if I have bored any readers with this long post but it may help others. 5 speeds. easy to clean, especially if lining the pulp collector with a plastic bag then empty into compost etc.I like the quality of the blades and their unique design with the super sharp longer teeth and the two little sharp blades in the centre. It looks good and accessories (jugs etc) are very strong and the whole thing is a pleasure to use. NO, I don't work for Breville as you will see in my post about the problems I had with a Breville food processor . I believe in giving credit where it is due. Nothing yet. If that changes I will be the first to post another review but at this stage I don't think it likely.

Awesome machine, easy to clean! – We made a video response and unboxing check it out...this machine is awesome and we're using it everyday. The blades are super sharp so becareful! Very happy, almost 5 star, little hard to clean – This is a good juicer but I am finding its a little hard to keep clean. For price its good value. I am quite pleased with it and just wanted to make a note that the warranty period is very good. The finishing looks quality compared to others that have a cheap plastic appearance. Its very fast as well.

Just love it – Picked this juicer up this week as an early mothers day present and I love it. $199 from Bing Lee - though the shelf price had been $279. some in this - used whole red skinned apples - and they all said it was delicious. Clean up was no worse that cleaning my Breviile Ikon food processor. Made some vegetable juices and was surprised at how great they tasted, just like the expensive bottles of fancy juice at the supermarket. My new fav appliance for sure - and I have a lot of appliances :) The price - it was only a little dearer than the Breville juicer model below it and has a five year warranty instead of 1 year. Also, it makes awesome juice, with an acceptable amount of wastage.

A solid and reliable juicer – I bought this based upon previous reviews and I am not disappointed. It is a quality unit, with good fit and finish. Pretty good juicer - love it – After my fiasco with another juicer, I was on the lookout for a Breville Juicer, mainly because of the ease of feeding veg/fruit into the machine.
