the Smart Dry Plus Dehumidifier LAD300WHT2JAN1

Works well. Stylish design – Had this product for a while now and it works well. Takes a lot of moisture out of the air and it looks pretty good so fits nicely in a bedroom or lounge. Water tank fills up pretty quickly though as it’s quite small. Show details

the Smart Dry Plus Dehumidifier LAD300WHT2JAN1

A useful appliance for improved air quality inside the house – I’ve been using the Smart Dry Plus for the past 3 days in a lounge/dining room area of about 30 square metres. The dehumidifier has collected a fair amount of moisture from the room, and it helped to dry out the carpets after they were shampooed. It is easy to use and the controls and digital display are well set out. It has a number of different… Read more

operating modes and two fan levels. It also has a useful timer function that allows it to automatically turn off from between 1 to 24 hours, or it can automatically turn on from between 1 to 24 hours. The noise of the motor on the higher speed fan level is not distracting if you’re awake; for example, you can watch TV in the same room without the humidifier being a distraction, but i wouldn’t run it on the high speed setting in a bedroom when trying to sleep. The low speed setting is probably quiet enough to use in a bedroom at night. It’s better to use it before you go to bed to reduce humidity rather than running it through the night. With this humidifier, and all the other brands, they quote the amount of moisture that can be removed in 24 hours. It is highly unlikely it will ever remove the quoted amount in your house unless you use it when the humidity is 80% and the temperature is 30 degrees Celsius. The amount of moisture they remove at 27 degrees (just 3 degrees lower) is half of the amount at 30 degrees. So you can assume that if you’re using it in winter and the temperature in your house is 17 to 20 degrees, it will be removing much less moisture. However, they do work, and the moisture that was on our lounge room windows in the mornings last week was not there for the past two mornings after using the Smart Dry Plus dehumidifier. They are a useful appliance. We will be using ours in other rooms around the house and to assist drying clothes inside on wet days.
