How do I change the thickness of the cut for the slicing blade?

Can the Breville BFP600 model be taken apart a the plastic swivel in the middle. Mine is very dirty undeneath and I see a philips screw inside the plastic but cannot get to it. I need to remove this plastic part to clean properly.
